*Vienna's POV* Maybe it's the warmth of the opening of this new chapter that seized the cold breeze of the night. Or maybe it was the bloody victory and of course the mellow forgiveness everybody shared, after all that happened. Whatever it is, I'm happy. After the formalities, dinner was served. Such a feast it is. We ate in a long table, sharing small talks and smiles here and there. I was also introduced to some of the high ranked witches from all around the world who came here for the coronation. Wow, they really are something. And I'm pleased to see that they took warmly, the alliance that Marcos made with Noah and the paranormal council. While almost 90% of the population are witches, I do see werewolves lingering around. Ah yes, they're the kind of shifters witches work well with. After dinner, I decided to eat my chocolate ice cream dessert by the terrace, just to feel the cool night air and watch the beautiful moon. "Hey..." somebody whispered behind me and I would've jumped in alarm if it wasn't for the sparks that his touch brought to my exposed skin. "Brook." I greeted as I turned around to be properly in his arms. "You look splendid princess." he said as he examined my look in approval. "Do I now? Tou don't look too bad yourself." understatement! He looks handsome on his deep purple tux and silver tie. Wow, it matched with mine. Did somebody arranged this? Hell! "Well, I know I'm hot. Glad you noticed now." he cockily remarked and I just rolled my eyes at him. "Says who?" "The girl from over there, she said I'm smoking." "Maybe that was because of the torch." We laughed at that. I continued eating my ice cream and the idiot actually ate about one fourth of it! If it wasn't for the mate bond, I would've cut off his airways by now. Nobody messes with my chocolate. But then again, he had made his way to my heart, mate bond or not, I'm sure Brooklyn Gibson would be the type of policeman one would have a crush on. And by the way, he had applied to one of Ireland's police headquarters and is now hired. So yeah, he's got a job again. Lucky him. "Anyway, beautiful..." he said with a wink. "I thought that was baby?" I countered as I put the empty ice cream glass to a side table. "Yeah, baby. Can I have this dance?" he offered his hand to me. Now, I don't really dance but, let's not spoil the moment. I smiled and took his hand as we swept our way to the dancefloor where everyone is having a good time. A new song played and this one spoke to me from the way my mate was looking deep into my eyes as we spun around in the marble floor. ~~~~~~~~~~ On the days I can't see your eyes I don't even want to open mine On the days I can't see your smile Well, I'd rather sit, wait the while For the days I know you'll be near 'Cause a day without you just isn't fair See the days I can hear your voice I'm left without a choice Plus, I get weak in the knees Fall head over heels, baby And every other cheesy cliché Yes, I'm swept off my feet Oh, my heart skips a beat But there's really only one thing to say God damn, you're beautiful to me You're everything Yeah, that's beautiful Yes, to me, oh I can't find the words to explain It's just how much you got me going insane When you speak to me sometimes we fight Oh, I stutter my words, I say, "Never mind" 'Cause even when you just walk by Well, I look around to seem occupied 'Cause I'm trying so hard to hide Yeah, all of these feelings inside 'Cause I get weak in the knees Fall head over heels, baby And every other cheesy cliché Oh, I'm swept off my feet My heart skips a beat But there's really only one thing to say God damn, you're beautiful to me Oh, you're everything Yeah, that's beautiful Yes, to me, oh Yes, to me, oh Yeah, you're beautiful Yeah, you're beautiful God damn, you're beautiful To me To me ~~~~~~~~~~ That was God Damn You're Beautiful by Chester See, I guess. And by the end of the song he gave me a chaste kiss on the forehead. That was really sweet. "Can we sit now? I feel really dizzy." I whispered as another song started to play. "Yeah sure." he said as we sat together on one of the chairs by the tables. The team who was with me in planning out our next move for our situation beforehand, is also the same team who I'm rejoicing with right now. I laid my head on Gibson's shoulders in content. Everything that we ever been through led us here, and it's amazing. "So your brother is dancing with Divine." I look up to where he's looking and oolala! "So uh, that ummm, mission we gave Divine worked this way?" I commented. And we laughed at the memory of that. Oh why, when this sweet angelic vixen had tricked the new witch king a few months ago into going as far as sleeping with her, just to get information. Perhaps my brother Marcos would be interested in her? Or they could both be interested, for all I know. Averting my eyes from them, I saw Devon and Diana talking by the big window. They look so perfect together. Are they even a couple now? Oh why is everybody in pairs again? I don't know, but they look really cute! Oh wait, am I sounding like Cassy now? Can't be. "Where's Cassy by the way?" I voiced out. "Over there by our vampire friend." Gibson said. I looked at where he said and saw Cassy and Dark, sitting by the dessert table, laughing at something they're talking about. I knew it! A couple danced past us gracefully and I was surprised to see that it was, "Casper and Marissa?" "Yeah, healer with x healer witch." "Oh that's cute." I'm not one to play match making but why not right? Perhaps there could be a few love stories that can be written by just one ball, or perhaps, everyone just wants to have a good time and I sure am having one. "Can we get some more foods?" he asked and I agreed. A lot are still on the buffet. And our figures surely won't be damaged by just one feast. "Hey Cassy, Dark! I greeted as we passed by them. "Hi Brianna!" Dark teased and I just rolled my eyes at him. "Umm Vienna, come over here for a sec!" Cassy said and I left Gibson with getting some food. "Yes?" "Is it bad for me to ship your mother with that, handsome guy?" she cheekily said and my eyes widened at what she pointed out. "But I do notice a love triangle between Ariella, Noah, and Amelle most of the time you know?" Dark added. "You idiots!" we just laughed. Who knows right? I guess there were just no events like this to attend to in the past, that's why we didn't spot potential couples. We were too busy sneaking about here and there, kicking butts and whatnot paranormal thing to do. This ball just makes us look normal, fancy normal that is. Although I'm not so fond of it, I know I have to attend another one just next week for the turn over of La Belle Hotels and Restaurants to Marcos. Like that's gonna do me anything good. The breeze whispered a message to me and I quickly excused myself and searched for Marcos in the crowd. I found him at the foot of the stage and I speed walked to him. My siblings gathered around him as well. "What's the matter?" Mark asked. "We're under attack. Vampire forces are outside." he said only to us, so as not to cause panic among the crowd. Suddenly, Noah whooshed our way. "I heard you. Is there anything we can do?" he offered. "Yes, can you perhaps spread your shifters just outside the walls? Make sure they exit decently, we don't want to cause any panic." Marcos ordered. Of course there are a lot of classy individuals here, it would be such a shame to report that his coronation has been ruined by a vampire attack. Perhaps they heard about it and thought it would be a great time to charge. "Understood." Noah said as he again swiftly disappeared. "You, go to your assigned wings. And take some guards with you." he ordered to our siblings and they obeyed, moving into action. The crowd is still on a rejoicing vibe and we plastered a smile at them. "I'm headed for the throne room with Devon and Diana. You go to the tallest tower in this castle and cast a spell." he instructed and I agreed. "Who will be left here?" I asked just before I could go. "I'll Ask Aunt Aurora." we went our separate ways as I sought out to get Gibson. "Dark, be on alert. And stay here." I whispered to him as I passed by. "Of course." he said without question. "Brook, come." I said as I made him follow me on one of the exits. "Something the matter?" "Can you make a portal to the highest tower in the palace? I need to get there." He obediently did what I said and within minutes, we hoped out in the highest tower of Donegal. The moon shone brightly from up here and I can see a lot of vampire forces being held back by our own, just by the borders. "We're under attack." Gibson stated. "Yeah." I pulled out my pocket knife which I hid in the short short I'm wearing under this fancy ball gown and asked him to put his hand below mine as I cut a wound in my palm and let the blood drip down his palm, since we don't have a bowl or something here. I shifted to my prime and swirled my hands around each other. A purple ball of air came out from it and I made that purple ball mix up with the few drops of blood I had on Gibson's palm. The color is disturbingly bloody as I chanted. "Go forth my wind. Make it difficult for all our enemies to breathe." I blew on it and it became one with the night breeze. I encompassed my wounded palm to deliver that poison wind faster all around and within minutes we saw its effect. Everyone of our enemies in its range found it difficult to take in air, thus finding it difficult to fight. Although I'm not so fond of wars, battles, and deaths, this has to suffice because there ain't a peace treaty between our kinds just yet. And I'd suggest that one to Marcos. I'm sure he'd agree. The moon shone bright on its children as the vampires failed to invade Donegal because of our combined forces and here in the highest tower of the castle alone with my mate, a realization dawned upon me. This is my destiny. My name is Vienna, a normal 18 years old girl, as normal as a first born witch princess could be. I had often travelled great distances to find meaning and reason for living. I had always wanted to help at that time I wasn't quite introduced to who I am just yet in hopes of giving myself a purpose and a responsibility. And that belief didn't only introduce me to who I truly am, it introduced me to the people who built me up, the people I love the most. And I reckon, I found myself, by first giving it away in service. And it is service that I will show now, now that I know my full capabilities and a distinct road to travel on. ....................
