<<63>>
* Sometimes it's harder to forgive a friend than an enemy.. but we just have to try. *

The trio chatted for some minutes more before finally getting ready for sleeping.
" Sis... How about I stay in your room tonight? " Mary stopped all of a sudden and turned to face, Malisa.
Malisa stared briefly at, Aiden before replying. " Sure. "
" Okay, sis... "
" Hm... Goodnight, Aiden... " Malisa turned to say.
" Sweet dreams, Mali... " He smiled back at her.
" Same here's. "
" Goodnight, brother... "
" Night, night. Princess. " He replied leaving a quick peck on her forehead.
" Thanks, Bro... " Mary said before following Malisa to her room....

Weeks later...
Malisa was sitting on the swing in the garden as she read through a textbook...
Her entrance examination was coming up and she was studying hard for it...
Just as she was supposed to.
Perhaps it's because she hadn't faced any real examination before, so she wasn't that nervous...
She believed that as long as she studied effectively and prayed as she should then there would be no stopping her from passing the examination...
Though she still felt a little pressured to do very well in the exam as she didn't want to disappoint Aiden and herself.
Speaking of, Aiden.
The latter had been very around and attentive to her lately....
Like really...
He never ceased passing beautiful comments at her...
She didn't hate it though... Just that she wasn't really used to them yet...
So well...
But well... She knew she would with time...
****
A week later.
Malisa sat in front of her laptop which was on her desk as she typed in some words...into the system.
She was writing actually....
But today, the words didn't flow as it should.
Maybe because she had a lot on her mind...
Or because she didn't just feel like writing today... Unlike other days...
But well... Whatever it was. She knew she had to overcome this...
Just then, she heard a knock on her door...
" Come in... " She told the person at the door.
Contrary to her expectation, the one who entered the room was non other than, Aiden..
She had thought the knocker was, Mary since it was only the latter that often frequent her room and do the sleep over sometimes.
So imagine her surprise when she found out that the one where entered wasn't Mary but Aiden.
Yet, she didn't panic as she knew that the latter was there for a reason...
So why panic she thought?
If he really wanted to harm her then he would have done since a long time and not have waited till now to...
So....
" Hey, Mali... " Aiden greeted as he took a seat beside her in front of her desk...
" Salut, Aiden... " Malisa replied turning to face him...
" I apologise for entering your room without permission... "
" Well.... it's alright. I am sure you have a good reason for that, right? "
" Hm... Yeah. "
" By the way, is Mary back yet? "
" Not yet... She's still having fun with her friends at the beach. A shadow guard send me the video. "
" Okay... As long as she's fine. "
" Yeah... "
Malisa brought her eyes back to her laptop as she waited for him to speak...
" So your exams are next week... "
" Yeah... Though I don't feel so nervous for it. "
" It's obvious that you aren't... "
" I guess... "
" Do you have plans for after the examination? "
" Not really... Just writing and continuous studying. "
" Okay... I am thinking we should do a two week vacation with Mary in new York.... "
" Oh... That's cool.." Malisa said before turning to face him. " But why do I feel like you have other reasons for planning that vacation? "
Aiden was left tongue tied hearing that from her. Was he being so obvious?
He was aware of how smart Malisa really was... But he never thought she'll see through him with just few words...
Like really?
How could someone be so intelligent?
" Well... You are right. " He just had to admit the truth since she had seen through him already...
What's the use lying when the truth is right in front of them already?
" Okay... So tell me... "
Over the past few days, the duo had become so close that they now speak and interact more like best friends.
" I was thinking you could participate in a singing audition that's coming up two months from now. "
" Oh... But that's impossible right? "
" It's not. Why do you think it is? "
" I haven't attended music school so how can I participate in an audition? "
" You can, Mali... There are lots of popular singers out there who never went to school. Yet they are so famous. " He explained holding her hands....
" Really? "
" Yep.."
" So will you participate? "
" Do I have a choice? "
" You do... "
" Not when you've bought the ticket already and was only waiting for my answer. " Malisa sighed.
" How did you... " Yet again, Aiden was really surprised...
Like really...
He found himself wondering if Malisa read minds... Because if not... How could she always know what one is thinking without even voicing out...
" Well... It's really obvious... "
" If you say so... " he sighed...
" So which book are you working on, now? "
" It's titled, Purchased... About a girl who was bought at a very high price by a drug Lord. She became like a slave to him. He used her as a means of transportation for his drugs... This continued successful until when all of a sudden the drugs that were put in her bursted and so she became very uncomfortable. She held her discomfort for some hours but when she couldn't bear it anymore. She searched for a restroom around but just before she found one... She collided with someone and fainted... And that's when her story began... "
" Oh my! The book sounds so interesting and intruding already. "
" Thanks... I haven't been able to write much today... "
" It's okay. Don't push yourself just go with the flow. "
" Yeah... I know. "
" Hm... Why don't we head out for a while? "
" Sure. Where are we going? " She inquired already switching off her laptop.
" It's a secret. " He said with a wink...
" As expected. " Malisa rolled her eyes.
" So get ready. I'll be waiting for you downstairs... "
" Sure. "
" Hm... Don't take too long o. " He reminded.
" I won't. " Malisa assured him with a smile...
" Hm... "
' I wonder where he's taking me now. ' Malisa thought as she watched him leave her room...
Nonetheless, she went ahead to prepare for their outing.
....
A/N : What do you think, guys?
