Chapter 69

* God will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. *
****
The first day at college was nothing like, Malisa had probably expected it to be like....
Contrary to what she had been expecting, there were many black students too... Just like her.
Those she recognized as black Americans.
There were also many Indians and Chinese.
There were practically people from different continents...
So she didn't feel any awkward as she had expected she will feel.
Wait, could it be possible that, Aiden knew about this fact and that's why he choose this college especially for her and also assured her that she'll be fine.
Malisa couldn't help smiling at this thought...
She often wondered how caring and loving he could be to her...
While all the new students sat in the registration hall waiting for the vice Chancellor of the school to address them...
Malisa felt a presence beside her, looking up she saw a young looking lady around her age or above.
" Good day, Madame. " The lady greeted her with a bow.
Malisa was indeed surprised by this greeting and paused for a while collecting her thoughts.
" Madame? "
As if knowing what, Malisa was thinking. The young lady spoke again rather slowly. " I have been sent her by president Evans... "
" Oh... "
Seeing that, Malisa didn't believe her the young lady brought out her ID card.
There, Malisa read out her name.
Franchine Everett.
Emperor Francis, sister?
Malisa wondered...
" I am actually, Francis younger sister... " The young lady smiled....
" Oh... You can have your seat. " Malisa said.
" Merci. " The girl said with a bow.
While the girl wasn't looking, Malisa sent a quick text to, Aiden asking about the girl.
His reply surprised her really...
: Yes, I did send her there under the cover of being a fellow student with you. When in actual fact, she's a high ranked body guard.
: Really? But she looks so fragile and small looking..
: I know... That's to make others not suspect anything.
: Oh.... Thanks for caring a lot about me.
: It's my pleasure. Hoping you'll enjoy it there at college.
: I know I will... Thanks.
: You welcome.
: Talk to you later, bye...
: Bye.

" So you are Aspiring to be a singer right? " The girl asked, Malisa.
" Yep. "
" It's really nice. " The girl paused before staring at Malisa in shock... " Wait, weren't you the lady who won the AGT championships? "
" Well... I was. " Malisa admitted after a period of time.
" Oh my! " The girl covered her mouth in shock. " I should have known it was you! "
Indeed she should have because Gabriella had already told her a lot about, Malisa already.
About how amazing and talented the latter was...
She often wondered if it was possible for just a single person to be so multi talented.
Though she was in doubt before, now she wasn't...
Rather she was filled with awe...
" Well... It's okay. " Malisa smiled...
" You are really so humble aren't you? " Franchine smiled...
" I think you are more of that than me. " Malisa said meaningfully.
" Well... I got the trait from my brother... He always told me about how being humble could save one from a lot of troubles and also the beneficial effects of it. "
" Hm... He was right. "
" Yeah... He really was. "
" So which course will you be taking here? " Malisa inquired.
" Same as you. Music. I had always loved music since childhood but wasn't opportuned to fully focus on it but now. I can! "
" It's no wonder you accepted, Aiden's offer readily... " She smiled.
" Yep. I knew I would benefit too. So I took the offer without questions. It's a win a win for me after all. "
" Right. " Malisa smiled.
She already had a feeling that her and Franchine were going to become best of friends... As they got along pretty well...
Perhaps it's because the latter was very jovial and humble... Just like her...
Maybe...
The hall soon got silent as the Vice chancellor of the university walked inside...
He was an old man in his early seventies... He's got full white hair and short beards.
Though he was old, he still looked quite youthful and handsome...
That makes people wonder how handsome and charming he must have been when he was younger.
" I wonder if he has a younger son.." Franchine whispered into Malisa's ears as they watched the vice Chancellor walk elegantly to the podium.
" He might be older than you. "
" Age doesn't matter. As long as he's handsome and hot. "
Malisa didn't say anything but simply sighed...
The vice Chancellor was named, Charles Rutherford.
Despite his old age, he still spoke very clearly and eloquently.
He also addressed the freshman's with respect not minding how much older he was than each of them.
He believed that they were all equals...
Age was just a number and respect should be reciprocal.
Malisa found herself loving this trait in him... Respect is indeed reciprocal so we should try as much as possible to respect one another as only then would we gain the respect we deserve too!
......
A/N : What do you think, guys?
