It is Time

I
Draeko and Grazziena visited one of the beach resorts that they owned. Actually, it was one of those many inheritances of Draeko from his deceased parents. They were walking down the beach savoring the fresh air and letting the heat of the sun's rays overwhelm their whole senses.
Grazziena walked slowly as her belly is quite so big and heavy. She is in her nine-month pregnancy. Draeko’s arm has been wrapped around her shoulders to assist her while walking. They then stopped walking and gazed into the vastness of the ocean. They felt so contented. They could not ask for more.
“Are they so heavy now, Sweety?” Draeko asked while caressing her belly.
“Sort of. They are getting heavier each day that I am nearing to my date of giving birth to them.” She looked up at him and smiled. She then leaned her head on his shoulders. She felt at complete peace whenever she is with him.
“They will be our bundle of joy, Sweety. I am just wondering if one or both of them will shift into a werewolf when the time comes.” Draeko said gently. Grazziena could not determine if he is worried about their children being werewolves too or if he is anticipating it already.
She nonetheless asked him to make her aware of what he felt about it. “Are you afraid that eventually, our children will be werewolves too like me?”
Draeko looked at his wife and shook his head. “Why would I be afraid? I might even be happy because I know that our children would be strong and powerful. They cannot be easily bullied and harmed because they could automatically protect themselves. They even have an Alpha Blood.”

Grazziena released a deep breath as she heard her husband’s answer. “Thank you Draeko for accepting everything about me. I am so lucky. I could not ask for more.”
“You are welcome, my love but there is no need to say thank you.”
Grazziena smiled and hugged him from beside. Suddenly, she felt a sudden pain in her belly that she urgently straightened up and looked at her husband with wide eyes while holding her belly.
Draeko furrowed. “What? Something wrong, Sweety?”
“Sweety, bring me to the hospital. I guess it is now the time that our children would like to come out, even if it is earlier than we expected them to be born,” Grazziena said as she hold on to Draeko’s arms. She felt again a surge of pain from her belly down to her hips and core. “Ahhh, Draeko! It is painful!”
Draeko panicked as he saw the pain in his wife’s facial expression. He shouted for help to the nearby roving guard of their beach resort, who readily ran toward them.
“Call an ambulance, George, quick!” Draeko ordered to the guard who immediately got her mobile phone and call the hospital’s number as dictated by Draeko.
After a while, the siren of the ambulance could be heard coming into the beach resort and a few minutes more, nurses and hospital aids were running toward them with a stretcher.
Grazziena was already screaming with pain and Draeko is shaking in fear especially when he saw blood running down her two legs.
“Calm down, Sweety. Shhh, I am here,” Draeko said when Grazziena shouted his name as they arrived at the emergency entrance of the hospital.
Grazziena was immediately brought to the delivery room as her water bag had already broken down.
Draeko was walking to and pro while Grazziena was laboring inside the delivery room. He was praying and could not calm himself. Suddenly, when he glanced at the glass window of the delivery room, he saw the doctor holding up a baby boy while her one hand tapped the baby’s butt. A few seconds and the baby boy’s cries filled Draeko’s ears.
After a few minutes, the same doctor held up a baby girl while her one hand tapped the baby’s butt. Draeko could not remove his eyes on the baby just like a while ago with their first child and when he heard the sound of the baby girl’s cries, Draeko’s tears fell down. “I am a father now,” he murmured with much joy in his heart.
When Grazziena woke up the next day, Draeko was at her bedside, looking at her smilingly.
“Draeko, where are our babies? How are they?” those were the first words that came out of Grazziena’s lips.
Draeko caressed her head and smiled. “They are fine and they are in the nursery room. They are both healthy. A boy and girl.”
Grazziena cried as she heard Draeko’s statement. “I wanted to see them Draeko,” she requested and Draeko nodded.
“I will ask your Doctor first, my Sweet.” Draeko then got the room’s phone and called on at the nurse station and sought for the Doctor’s presence.
After checking her, the Doctor shook her head. “Mrs. Villadella, please take a rest for a while before going out of this room to see your children. You can see them tomorrow morning.”
Grazziena could not do anything but to nod and follow her doctor’s advice. She actually feels being a bit dizzy and weak.
The next day, Grazziena was so excited when Draeko pushed her wheelchair going to the nursery room.
She held their daughter while Draeko held them in his arms their son. They looked at each other and smiled.
“Are you amenable already to the names that I thought for them?” Grazziena asked Draeko smilingly.
Draeko smiled back before answering. “I wanted to suggest a name for our little boy but our daughter can have the name that you wanted, my Sweet.”
"What name?" Grazziena inquired with curiosity
Draeko stated the name he wanted and Grazziena nodded in approval. She finds the name given by Draeko suited more for their son.
