Alex swallowed his words when he suddenly heard hers, he blinked his eyes twice and cleared his throat after coming back to his senses. His words were supposed to be more important and officially he wanted her for business purposes only. " Mr. Alex, what do you say?"Alyssa broke the silence bringing him back to reality. The smile that she kept was tempting enough to agree but Alex wanted to show himself he could be tougher and not moved. When he still didn't give her a reply, she tapped her legs on the ground to get back his attention. " That's a yes right?" Whispered and continued looking at him. " I don't think it would be ...." " Oh thank you, Mr. Alex, I'll go get everything ready and believe me you're going to be stunned" Alyssa Interrupt fully aware of what he wanted to say, but she wasn't in for rejection, and besides she had gathered so much bravery just to say this so she wasn't going to take no for an answer. Biting her lower lips and hoping he wouldn't be quick to say anything, she smiled again and walked past him heading to a place she didn't even know existed. " Possible today" Alex completed his words and turned back to look at her while she ran along joyfully. He shook his head and resumed walking even though he didn't have anywhere in mind to go. Settling in his car with a cigarette he kept huffing and puffing continuously, his mind drifted off to the day he lost his mother and was handed to his father, a man he had never known since his birth. The last words of his mother were to live properly and learn to fight for himself, especially for his life began playing in his head and for the first time in more than 10 years, Alexander suddenly missed his mother. He had no reason to think about her, not after leaving him at such a young age, and most especially hated her for letting him grow up with his father. One way or the other, Alex wished he would have been brought up in an orphanage instead. It was getting a bit dark, as the sun was setting. Alex gulped down the rest of the liquor in his glass and came out of his car to enjoy and view the sunset. There wasn't anything glamorous in his life and the only thing he found beautiful was the sky. Tired of gazing at the sky, he felt bored and decided to go treat his wound properly. Again he recalled Alyssa's words and exhaled deeply. Well, it wouldn't hurt if he went with her, but Alex saw it as something he had less time for. Finally, he decided to just ignore her and decline it for the best. Meanwhile, a joyful Alyssa was not only striding around the room but also kept on checking her phone and busy viewing some messages she saw as important. It was so certain and obvious she was eagerly waiting for something and at the same time, reading something. Alyssa giggled when she came across a funny comment on a post she had been following earlier today. Alyssa never had a reason to be so occupied with her phone before, but today she felt like giving up her inheritance was the price she had to pay for her happiness. She had no idea about going on a date with a guy before but the comments she read helped a lot. She wanted to be perfect and make Alexander realize that she could become the lady he wanted her to be. Suddenly her eyes lighted and her cheeks glowed when she came across another comment. "It's always a perfect time to share your first kiss". Alyssa read it out loud and found herself giggling while using her pillow to cover her face intensely shy. Her phone made a buzzing sound, as fast as possible Alyssa stood up from the bed and wore her slipper rushing down the stairs to go get her package. She couldn't fathom the right amount of happiness she was feeling deep down and kept imagining the look that would be plastered on his face. A perfect style, she had picked a perfect style to match with her outfit too, a style that she was sure Alex would love so much. Alex was sure something was going on when he saw a stranger walk into his home. At first, he wanted to ignore his presence but ended up following behind the man... It was quite obvious that he was a delivery man but Alex had ensured that everything needed even those useless was in the house and this stranger's presence bothered him. When he spotted Alyssa rushing towards the man, his curiosity increased making him wonder what she wanted that wouldn't be in the house. Suddenly his phone began ringing out loud with a disappointed look on his face he grabbed his phone and answered the call. " Thank you so much, do have a nice day," Alyssa said when she had collected the package and handed the man a little tip to keep for himself. He bowed respectfully and walked away, his eyes dared not meet that of Alexander and fright could be seen in those eyes of his. Seconds later, Alyssa hurried toward him and handed him the package of what had been brought to her. " Here, have this. I got it for you and I don't know if you would like it" Alyssa said shyly looking away, and a bit scared to look him in the eyes, but she wondered why his eyes had suddenly turned red. Was it because she showed her presence before him or she unexpectedly became happy?. Alyssa took a few steps backward when she saw his tightened fist and his bloody eyes, " Mr. Alex" She called his name in fear while taking her steps. He became like this immediately after he terminated his call and Alyssa didn't even know what he must have been told. " Get the hell out of my sight, I have no time for this right now" Alex spat fiercely and walked past like she never existed. Her heart suddenly began aching immediately after he uttered such words and a painful tear fell from her eyes making her weak self lose balance and tumble roughly on the earth.
