With a short gracious outfit that matched perfectly with her black heels and black fashion brand handbag, Alyssa walked with her shoulders high up into her company. " Oh my goodness" "Beautiful" These were the words that came out from the passerby and workers all parading here and there to do their daily jobs most especially those who had white-collar jobs. Still with her head up and her tiny heels making the natural sound out loud as she took her steps, Alyssa let out a little smile that wasn't visible trying not to look at the faces of those all staring at her. Getting to her office, Alyssa looked sideways before touching the door knobs to open the door and when she walked in, she let out a deep breath. One that she had been holding in for a long time since she got down from her car and walked past the garage into her own company. " What the hell! Why was she acting this way all of a sudden". Alyssa thought and gently walked towards the long transparent glass which made her get a clearer view of the world and how small it was. She stood there trying to get her thoughts straight again and to calm herself from moving on with the thoughts of the guy she had been crazy over for a while now. " Knock, knock" Distracted from her thoughts, Alyssa turned to look after permitting the person to come in. " What is it?" She asked as the young lady folded her two hands together with her head laid low facing the floor and her body almost numb as she walked in slowly. " Two... Two guests are here to see you, I tried to stop them and tell them you were busy but they insisted and followed me all the way here". Her shaky voice uttered still without the guts to look at Alyssa straight in the eyes. " It's fine to tell them to come..." Alyssa wasn't able to finish her statement when her aunt and cousin walked in. " Aunty, what a pleasant surprise to see you here," She said forcing out a smile even though she didn't want to. " Oh same here Alyssa, came to check on my company. Same as a meeting would be held soon in my call " Aunt Judy replied with a smirk on her face making Alyssa laugh out loud. " As usual... Greedy as always. Aunty, you know what? you never cease to amaze me with just how powerful your obsession grows by the day" Her voice sounded so icily and bold. " You and you, " Alyssa said pointing at her aunt and Olivia," you both are crazy, get that into your fucking minds". These harsh words got into her aunt making Aunt Judy raise her hand to slap Alyssa, but Olivia held be back. " She isn't worth it Mom, yeah at least we got exactly what we wanted, and maybe more than we could ever wish for. Kindly leave this office because I believe this place, this office is mine already". Her words didn't surprise Alyssa, Olivia had always been the calm and super annoying one. "Watch out aunty, you might end up getting betrayed by your daughter, and do ensure to say Hi to Max on my behalf okay. I think he's the better one". Alyssa picked up her bag which lay on the table and looked around one last time before walking out. She had thought she must have gone crazy." Who the hell are you, I don't even know you anymore". Alyssa said to herself probably losing her mind little by little. Was money even a bit of her problem right now? She had plenty of that but not Love. As Alyssa walked towards the underground garage, she reduce her pace and began looking around, recalling the moment Alex had been here.. when she recalled how scared and bold she was then, she let out a chuckle. She stopped when she felt his presence, but turning around, that feeling was gone immediately. Alyssa sped up her car once she hit the highways. " Bloody hell" She cursed within the confine of her mind once she increased her speed. Jamming both of her feet on the breaks which had forcefully almost made her head hit the wheel, she halted close to a bar to get some shots and clear her mind. Alyssa took a seat, she wasn't uncomfortable like before as this wasn't her first time coming here but when she looked towards the direction where she was sitting the first time, she swore she could recognize the man who was staring at her but again her memories failed her as it has always done again. " I'll have a beer, the biggest size please, "Alyssa said to the bartender taking out her phone from her handbag to check if she had any missed calls She scoffed when she unlock her phone and found nothing, absolutely nothing. Like what the hell was she expecting of waiting for, who the fuck would call her right now? She had no one, no one at all in this world. Just when she switched off her phone, a large-sized beer was dropped on her table, and taking a look at it, Alyssa wondered if she would be able to take it all. She reluctantly took a sip from it and it felt extremely bitter, not like the usual ones she took the first time, but she didn't care one bit believing the beer had a bitter taste just exactly the way her life also had a bitter taste. She had almost gone crazy when she began speaking and pointing to the beer as if the big glass of beer was a living thing she could speak with. " Our lives are just the same, exactly the same because I can feel, I know exactly what you're feeling, what it feels like to become bitter, a bitter life not even worth living for. I understand you perfectly being in the same shoes with you". Alyssa said unaware of the gibberish she was actually saying. As if that wasn't enough, she saw him take a seat right beside her not only that, he was even smiling with her. " What the!! "Alyssa said a bit frightened trying not to believe that she was going crazy to an extent of seeing him almost all the time." Fucking get the hell outta my head right now". She half yelled pointing at her imagination of Alex while laughing at the same time. " Oh, oh yeah. Now I get it, I must be going crazy right now isn't it". She commented and grabbed the large-sized beer gulping more than half of its content. She blinked her eyes again but still, he wouldn't go away... He was still sitting there looking at her. " Get away from my head will you? Please I'm going crazy and you're making it worst". She decided to ignore her image of him which was seated there and continued drinking. " People like us don't deserve all this, we don't deserve to live like this. Thinking they can treat us anyhow they wish to....why can't we live normal lives like people, taste just as sweet as them". Alyssa sobbed with the tears trying hard to remain in her eyes. " I feel myself changing, I don't talk the same anymore, laugh the same anymore or smile the Same anymore and I'm just so tired of everything". Alyssa continued after she had gulped down the whole content of the beer and when she looked up, he was still there. This time looking more handsome and deliciously tempting. " Even if I know I'm going crazy right now and you're not here for real, I still wish you would be here with me. At least let me hold your hands for a moment, maybe only then can I stop thinking about you."She said looking straight into his deep brown eyes which were still dark just like the first time she had seen them. A look that was exceptionally beautiful like none she had ever seen. Alyssa stretched her hands and held his tight, but to her surprise, she could feel his hand in hers. " Just why the hell would her illusion be real and she could hold his hands?" She questioned herself in between her drunken state and before she could even think further,s he collapsed on the table falling into a deep sleep.
