Epilogue

Synopsis
Amelia ran to the topmost floor in her school with tears in her eyes. Her uniform was soiled with eggs, tomatoes and flour particles. Her hair was wet with water mixed with egg dripping down her uniform making her smell bad and unkempt.
She looked at the unfamiliar environment she was in and cold shivers ran down her spine. She dragged her feet to the rails with her mind in turmoil, is she ready to do this? She asked herself unsure of her decision. With a look of determination, she held the rails and began to climb. The cool evening breeze blew across her face making her hair scatter all over her tear stained face.
She took in a deep breath and allowed her legs to cross over the rails in an attempt to jump out, "what are you doing?" She heard a deep masculine voice and turned abruptly in fear to see a handsome man standing few feet away from her.
"Please go away" she pleaded but he stood there unmoved. "What are you doing?" He repeated coming close to her, "don't come any closer" she screamed at him and fresh tears poured out of her eyes, "what does it look like I'm doing?, I'm ending my miserable life. Why am so unfortunate?" She lamented and there was a moment of silence between the two of them.
She turned back to the rails and made up her mind to jump at the count of three but at the same time, conscious of the stranger behind her. "Why are you still here? Leave now before you will be called a murderer" she said coldly scared that he might end up in jail because of her death.
"I don't know why you are doing this girl" he said with a sigh "but, before you jump, look around you and tell me if you are worst than the person or people you've seen" he said, his blue eyes teary as he looked into her hazel eyes.
Amelia turned her face away from him "you don't even know me nor the reason I'm feeling this way. I beg you to stay away from me" she replied stubbornly.
There was silence once more until the strange man spoke up again, "since you feel that you are the only one in pains and the only way to end it is by jumping, why the f**k are you still there and not jumping!!?" He yelled and she recoiled in fear.
Their tears were now streaming down their cheeks freely. "I can't do it, I'm not ready" she muttered, "yes, it's not worth it, let's be survivors" he cooed.
Without thinking twice, she fell into his awaiting arms as they cried their eyes out.
Who's this strange man and why do I find solace in his arms? She wondered. "What is the reason behind his tears?", "Why do I feel we are connected somehow?", "What is this feeling I'm having?" She asked no one in particular as she relaxed more in his arms.

Epilogue
Amelia
"Daisy, you've got to stop whining about and put on your shoes, I don't have all time to waste" I scolded Daisy whose mouth was pouted stubbornly. I rubbed my protuding  stomach as I glared at her. My crazy best friend Daisy is finally getting married to her one and only love, Steven and I couldn't be happier.
She's dressed beautifully in her immaculate white wedding gown which she managed to wear with difficulty, "but, this is not the shoes I requested for" she whined and I face palmed myself. "We have thirty minutes until the wedding bell goes" Alexis sang cheerfully entering the room. Her engagement ring shone brightly as the light in the room came on it.
"Daisy, I choose this shoes because I know it will go well with your gown and it's comfortable, see?" I waved it in her face, "I see what's happening here" Alexis said and picked up her phone, "and we don't have time for it" she concluded operating her phone while sitting down in one of the chairs in the room.
"Mel, for the upteenth time, I'm not pregnant and comfy shoes are not really my thing, I want that shoe because it hides my small figure and I want to appear taller than Steven so that he won't use it to taunt me" Daisy said stubbornly. "Done" Alexis said standing from her sitting position, "I just ordered the same shoes for you and it should be arriving soon. You look really beautiful by the way, Atta girl" Alexis smiled and kissed her forehead. "I love you so much Lexy" She smiled. "Trust me babe, the feeling is mutual" Alexis replied as they giggled.
I scoffed jealousy and turned away from them.
"We love you too Melly" Daisy and Alexis said simultaneously and I smiled widely. I took steady steps and hugged them as we giggled. The door opened and Rolland walked in, in his black Tuxedo, his hair gelled all back. He smiled at us before waving a box in the air, "order for miss Alexis?" He asked and Lexy collected it, "thanks bro, now get going" she said pushing him out.
His eyes locked with mine and he winked before finally exiting the room. My face heated up as I smiled to myself, "how did I end up with such a hottie?" I asked loudly and Daisy scoffed, "he's not close to Steve in anyway" she said as she watched Alexis fix her shoes. "Have you seen Kelvin eyes? It gets me every time. He's the hottest" Alexis bragged.
We kept on dragging on who was the cutest, the hottest and the smartest among Rolland, Steven and Kelvin before the wedding bell rung. "Well, it's time" Daisy sang nervously and I smiled at her, I held her hands, "trust me bestie, you will do just well. Okay?", "Sure" she replied more comfortably, "now, get out there and do your thing, Atta girl" I sang and she chuckled before walking out of the room and into the Hall where the marriage solemnization of Daisy and Steven will be held.
As they said their vows, I and Rolland whispered every wording to ourselves, eyes locked and lips smiling.
The End.
