Halia's parents as well as their fellow village councils were shocked when they saw her facing the vampire along with the werewolf Brimo. The vampire pretends to rush at Brimo while Brimo growls to threaten the vampire. Her mother was trembling with fear and was already crying as she shouted her name. Fear and shock were evident on the faces of the people. “W-what is that? Big dog?" A policeman asked cowardly and looked at Brimo in shock. There she noticed that they had policemen with them. "Karina!" Her father screamed to prevent her mother would running towards them. And her father pulled her mother back to him. "Halia!" her mother yelled as she cried out in fear. She got down from Brimo's back and pointed her bow at the vampire. “Are you thirsty already? You seem ready to fight even if you are alone," she commented on the vampire as she ignored her mother's cries. "Don't come near him Halia, he's dangerous!" Her father reminded him anxiously. The vampire pissed off confronted her. He is a man and looks young. “Don't brag, woman. You're just brave because you're with him! "He hissed pointed at Brimo. Brimo growled alertly, and the vampire recoiled in shock. He was afraid of Brimo, and every time Brimo jumped, he became alarmed. But people start shouting, and they are suddenly startled when Brimo and the vampire rush and retreat from each other. "Come here, Halia!" She heard someone call her. She knew whose voice is that and when she turned her gaze to him. She saw Uzenio that was very worried about her. She gulped and looked at Brimo. Uzenio had no idea that the werewolf she was with, was Brimo. "Stay away from them!" Uzenio shouted. She looked at Brimo. He waved his head in her parent's direction. Halia immediately understood what Brimo meant to say, in order not to intensify her parents' fear, she just stepped closer to them. But she could not get close to her parents yet and her mother screamed again. Suddenly, the vampire grabbed her from behind but she saw Brimo jump towards the vampire and he bit him on the arm. Brimo threw the vampire into a big tree and he fell to the ground. The forest seemed to clatter in sound due to the shouts of the people. The vampire got up and rushed to Brimo again. The police immediately fired their guns and they didn’t seem to care if they could hit the werewolf Brimo or not. "Don't!" She shouted and quickly stood up. "Stop that!" she shouted worriedly and pushed the cops. "Halia!" His father shouted and pulled her from the cops. “Don't fire! You might hit my friend!" She shouted at them eagerly and blocked them. “They are freaks!” A policeman shouted at her. "He's my friend!" She yelled at the police and pointed at Brimo. When she turned to Brimo, the vampire had just been consumed and turned to ashes. She ran quickly towards Brimo and she covered her body with him so that the police would not shoot Brimo. "Halia?" Her mother shouted calling her name. The police were shocked and could not believe what she had done. They panicked and gaped at her actions. “He is my friend! He saved me! He saved us!” she was still shivering and sweating with extreme uneasiness and fear. She quickly touched Brimo's furs and looked at every part of his body to see if there was a bullet inside his body parts or not. “Halia, that's not just a dog! That monster— ” “He is not a monster! He's my friend and he doesn't hurt people!" She yelled and quickly faced the people. The person who was speaking was Uzenio's father, and he just stared with her in worry. She went back to checking Brimo's fur. "Are you hurt? Huh? Bri—" she stopped speaking as she remembered that no one knew that the Werewolf in front of her was Brimo. But suddenly Brimo knelt on the ground. She noticed that he had blood on his front leg. If Brimo looks human, that wound can be seen on his arm. "You got a bullet shot," she wailed and cried again. She felt sorry for Brimo and was afraid to think, that what if he was hit in the head or the body? She burst into tears as she knelt in front of him. She hugged Brimo and he just leaned his head on her. She knew he was hurting because of the wound he got. "Halia," she heard her father call to her. "M-Marco," her mother stammered. "I told you not to hurt him!" She uttered and continued to hug Brimo. "But you did. I don't want him to die," she sobbed. “H-Halia, that dog! Was a big dog, and that might hurt us," Uzenio said in fear. She looked at Uzenio pissed off, “If he can hurt us, why didn't he bite me? Why did he save you from vampires?" She asked sarcastically. Uzenio could not speak. The people who's with them just looked at each other and just watched her. “Okay, I'll let that leave now. But if that hurts the people, forgive me but I will not hesitate to kill him," the police threatened her. "He won't hurt anyone," she said in a low tone and faced Brimo again. But she remembered her tears were healing. But it doesn’t work so far with Brimo. Her mind asked at first but it immediately entered her mind that the bullet was inside Brimo's wound. She was currently outstretching Brimo's hairs that covered his wound, but Brimo seemed to be having a hard time to stood up. “I-I'll take the bullet out from your wound. I-I'll cure you," she said gulping, and still scared for what she would do. She wasn't sure if she could do it, but she took an arrow from her back. It had a sharp tip, and that was what she thought of using to get the bullet out of Brimo's wound. She almost closed her eyes when she started to open Brimo's wound as he howled in pain. “Sorry! I have to do this, " she sobbed and tried to open Brimo's wound. “Halia, what are you doing?” Her father asked, but she did not listen to him. When she was about to open Brimo's wound which was covered with his thick fur, her eyes widened as Brimo seemed to change form as a human. "No," she kept shaking her head as she was worried. "Prevent that, don't change yourself into a human form," she pleaded and sobbed again. Brimo, on the other hand, struggled with the change in his form. He forced himself to remain a werewolf because when he back in his human form his life would be in danger when the people saw him in that situation. "What's going on?" The policeman asked in bewilderment. Brimo turned his form as Werewolf and she continued to cry as she kept trying to get the bullet inside his wound. Brimo was groaning from the pain and his form was changing again. “Wait! Stop that! I'm begging you! " She shouted while crying. Brimo returns to being a Werewolf, and he does not continue to be a human being. "Why does he look changing?" The policeman asked. But she was about to get the bullet. She'll just pull it off. She screamed while doing that because Brimo was changing form. He buried his face in the grass, and almost at the same time Brimo roared as Halia cried in a yell until she got the bullet. "He's a human!" The policeman said in shock and they all recoiled. "Oh my god!" Her mother cried out. Brimo's face sank into the grass to hide his face from people. She also covered for Brimo to make sure they didn’t recognize him. "H-Halia, who's that?" Her father asked, gulping. He stepped closer to them and Brimo remained to lie on the ground. Uzenio stepped to the other side to peek at Brimo's face. "Don't look at him," she said in alarm as she cried and wiped the tears from her eyes. She wiped her tears and applied to Brimo's wound on his arm. She just hugged Brimo's head to make sure that no one would recognize him. "Who is that Halia?" Her father asked. She glanced at Brimo's wound and it was gone. He was pleased with what she saw and noticed that Uzenio was staring at her. "Transform now," she whispered to Brimo and she immediately sat up. Brimo immediately returned to being a Werewolf. Uzenio squatted down on the grass because right in front of him, Brimo transformed. Her mother cried out in shock and the people who would have peeked at Brimo backed away. Brimo looked at her as if to thank her. She stood up and faced him. Uzenio remained gaping as he stared at them. She hugged Brimo on the neck and she planted a kiss on his forehead. "Go away," she whispered to him. He looked at her for a moment and then he ran away. They followed him with their gaze until he disappeared from their sight. Uzenio quickly stood up and wiped the sweat off his face. The police ran and moved toward her. "That dog was human?" The policeman stammered. "Halia," full of fear was her father said holding her in the arm. "He's not a dog, he's a werewolf," she replied annoyed to the police, and stepped forward after she looked up at the sky. Its already dark "My God, let's go home and there are many dangerous creatures here," Uzenio's father said in fear and ran to follow her. They immediately moved to go home. She watched her surroundings until they returned home. When they reached out of the forest, and the people with them have followed them to their house. There are two policemen, Uzenio and his father, and two village councils who are with them. She had not seen them earlier because the two men had just hidden in the big tree behind the two policemen at that time. "Wait, I'll get some water first," her father whispered in a hurry and hesitated to go to the kitchen. "Dolfo, Sir Leo, and Sir Raymond you may sit first," he offered to his companions. Her mother ceased her tears but she was depressed to face her. "How long you would be like that Halia?" Her mother sobbed again. "Will you kill me out of fear," she continued sobbing and wiped her face that filled up with tears. Her mother seemed to suffer as she closed their door. Uzenio's father sighed and even ruffled his hair as he sat on the couch. A policeman turned to her, "Why did you go to the forest?" He asked calmly. She could not answer because she did not know how to explain. The police looked at her from head to toe. "Do you have a wound?" he asked and touched her dress. She shook her head, but her mother acted to assure herself that she had no wounds. "Let me see," her mother whispered as she checked her body, and looked at her arms. "If you don't have a wound, where did that blood come from?" The policeman asked. He slowly looked at her mother. Anger and concerns about her were noticeable in her eyes. “What? Why you're not answering?" Her mother asked sarcastically to her. She looked down and took a deep breath. "That's from the werewolf," she replied. “From the werewolf? As far as I remember before he was hit by a bullet you already had blood— ” "He just being healed," she interrupted the policeman. "You saw everything earlier, didn't you? I cured him, but I still have blood on my hands even though the wounds have disappeared—" she stopped speaking consciously she almost told everything about her secret. She averted her gaze. "Yes Halia," Uzenio suddenly spoke. She looked at him and he was staring at her seriously. He was just standing to her left near the door. "You have nothing to hide. I saw how you healed him. And yes Halia, you can heal," Uzenio said meaningfully. Two policemen, as well as Uzenio's father and two others, mystify looked at her. “So what is that? Do you have healing power?" The policeman asked. "I'm also shocked by you. After I saw people with fangs and red eyes. I saw a big dog that suddenly became a human and I was also flabbergasted by you. It brings me a lot of questions, but I want to ask about you. What are you? What things do you have? " continuous police asked her. She could no longer speak, she was afraid, to tell the truth. Her mother sobbed because of the tension and difficult situation they were in now. "Sir," her father suddenly called in whispered to the police. He was carrying a pitcher of water and a tray of glasses. The police turned to his father. His father took a deep breath and then spoke. "We asked for help to you to find our daughter. I know you saw something in her and you were also shocked by what you saw," said her father. “But Sir I am begging you. Not that we don't trust you. I just don't want to put my daughter in danger— ” “I understand what you are pointing out Marco. I am also worried about your daughter, especially about the strange things that are happening now," the policeman interrupted his father's speech. His father put the pitcher down on their round table as well as the tray of glasses. "We are ready to give anything to all of you who are here, Sir," her father said seriously. Her mother took a deep breath. "I just want you to promise us that whatever you know about my daughter, hopefully, it will remain a secret," her father added for his plea. The police and the village councils nodded. "Thank you," her father replied in a whisper and sighed. After a while, he scratched his eyes and took another deep breath. "The truth is, I'm scared for her," her father began. "She found out about vampires previously than her mother and I that's why she always came back and forth in the forest." She looked down when she saw her father crying. That was the first time that she saw her father's tears as if he was giving up on life. "But before that happened, she told her mother and me about that arrow," he said, pointing to the arrow she was holding. The people inside their house also stared at it. "That's the weapon used against vampires. Her grandfather's hand was on that arrow for her. And earlier ..." her father stopped speaking. He sobbed in tears. “I witnessed how that arrow shone and suddenly changed her," He managed to utter those words as he resisted his sobbing. “Her hair fell out and her skin turned whiter," he continued. "The light of the arrow means that my daughter, will be the guardian of the people," he was punched in the back of the couch. “I'm scared. I'm fucking scared," he wiped his face and shook his head like he was going crazy. “I'm afraid I might lose my daughter. Especially her power comes from the bow. Her ability to heal is her power from the bow. Her courage, his skill, and maybe even friendship with other animals are abilities that the arrow gave her. ” “But that beast becomes human, Marco! We saw that," Uzenio's father said quivering.
