The farmhand and his fellow farmers nodded and slowly left the room. They first watched the door close. Marco immediately stood up and faced Brimo. "Did the vampires attack you?" He asked immediately in a whisper with hissed He shook his head. "No, Uncle!" Brimo replied. Marco's forehead furrowed. “In that case, where did her wounds come from? Why pure cut? "Marco asked doubtfully in a whisper tone. He gulped first and looked at Uzenio. He looked back at Marco and then lowered his head. "She was the one who did it to herself, Uncle," Brimo replied melancholy. "What?" Marco whispered in Brimo's face and even Karina had a look of shock on her face. "Why did she do that? She can't hurt herself—" "Let's not leave this town, Marco," Karina suddenly muttered and sobbed sitting on the side of the bed where Halia was lying. "Let's not force her, because she seems to be depressed by our pressure," Karina said while wiping away her tears. "She is hurt by what we are doing. Because we are her parents but we still don't understand her— ” "Karina, what are you talking about?" Marco immediately asked and Brimo could not continue to tell the truth about Halia's wounds. Karina glared at Marco. But she could not speak immediately because suddenly there was a knock on the door. Their conversation stopped and Uzenio opened the door slightly. The girl peeked at the door who was getting lukewarm water for Halia. Uzenio immediately took the small basin with lukewarm water she was holding and it came with a small towel inside. "Thank you," Uzenio whispered to the girl and she nodded. When Uzenio closed the door, Karina continued speaking. “If Halia had injured herself, that would not have been impossible! Did you think about that? We force her to leave here, but she doesn’t want to. She wants to play her role as a savior of the people but we kept thwarting her—” "Because she's not safe Karina!" Marco said to Karina while clenching his fist in front of her. "It's not a joke that she will go to fight with those dangerous creatures. She has no gun, and she's also not good at martial arts. First of all, she's a woman, and she's weak compared to vampires who can move in the blink of an eye," he insisted. While Marco was speaking, Uzenio approached Brimo. He stood in front of Brimo and Brimo immediately took the towel inside the small basin and squeezed it. "If she's not safe here, isn't she also not safe from us Marco?" Karina asked sarcastically and Brimo and Uzenio just stared at each other. Uzenio seemed to breathe a sigh of relief because there was another conversation about Halia's wound on his hand. Brimo immediately cleaned Halia's wounds. While Karina was arguing with Marco, she still couldn't forget to support Halia's hand that Brimo was taking care of. “What do you mean?” Marco later asked Karina after a moment of silence. "Maybe, Halia attempted to take her life because of our control over her," Karina said emphatically to Marco and glanced at Halia's hand for a moment. Marco just stared at his wife as if he also realized something. “What do you want me to do, Karina? I will let Halia fight the vampires— ” "Just help her become good at shooting—" "Com 'on Karina!" Marco said and stared at his wife again. "Are you crazy? Even I, as her father, don't know how to fight vampires. What about Halia?" Marco's asked in a sarcastic tone to his wife. “What do you think of those vampires? Gangsters? ” Karina was remained quiet at what Marco said. She even glanced at the wounds on Halia's palm. But she knew in herself that vampires were too dangerous and Halia was unlikely to be able to fight them. But she looked straight at Marco again. "We're not the only ones living here, Marco," she said calmly. "Halia is right, we help farmers here and she also has friends here. If she's in danger they are also in danger—" "I just want to save our daughter Karina—" "But she's also not safe from our decisions that she can't follow," Karina also interrupted Marco's words. "I was afraid that next time she might drink poison when we force her again. Now tell me, can you still save your daughter, Marco? " Marco gulped and stared even more at Karina. He realized that Karina had a point. But how can she protect her daughter from danger if there were vampires are their opponents at their place? "If Halia is ready to fight, we must also fight," Karina insisted and stared into Marco's eyes. "Not only Halia would fight the vampires when she has to face her obligation—" "The people of the town know nothing about vampires, Karina!" Marco insisted. Karina couldn't utter any words. She just looked at Halia's hand that Brimo had cleaned. As she watched Halia's wounds, her tears spontaneously dripped. She felt sorry for her daughter because she knew she was hurting. Karina just caressed Halia's forehead while Marco sat on the edge of the bed and sighed. Uzenio placed the small basin used to clean Halia's wounds on the small table. Brimo looked at Karina who was crying. He knew that Karina's tears could heal the wounds on Halia's hand. "Auntie," he whispered to Karina. Karina didn't look at him and remained to stare at Halia who was lying on the bed. “I feel sorry for my daughter Brimo. This shouldn't be her life," Karina complained while crying. Uzenio just sighed. “Why does her grandfather have to tell her that thing about our family? Because of that information, Halia's life suddenly did not become normal, "Karina said weeping. "Not because I don't like our race. But I just want her to live a normal life. " Brimo silently watched Karina's tears. He has no intention of telling them the truth about the real cause of Halia's wounds because it seems that the couple themselves answered their own question. Karina looked at him as he looked at Uzenio too with tears in her eyes. “Can you always look after her? I know ...," Karina bowed as if embarrassed to plea. "I know you have lives of your own but, if only her father and I were with her. We can't stop her from going back to the forest— ” “They also won't be able to stop Halia from returning to the forest, Karina. Don't you think about what you're saying to her friends?" Marco scolded Karina."If we're her parents, she doesn't listen to us. Do you think she will listen to her friends— " "If we can't stop her from going back to the forest, then I'll go with her there, Uncle," Uzenio interjected and Brimo's eyes widened at him. "That place was dangerous, Uzenio!" Brimo's reminder. Uzenio faced Brimo. “If Halia doesn't want me to be hurt. She will not let me go to the forest," he reasoned. Marco and Karina looked at each other. Brimo thought about it. "In that case, I will also go to the forest with her," Brimo decided even though the truth is, he often follows Halia in the forest. - Halia woke up with Brimo sitting next to her. She looked around and even closed her eyes in the sunlight from the window. "Where am I?" She asked and looked at Brimo. She did not forget the whole thing so when she looked at her hand and it was no longer injured. Brimo smiled at her which also astonished her. "Your mother healed you," Brimo replied to her questioning reaction. She looked at her hand again. "Does she already know that our tears can heal?" She asked in awe. Brimo nodded and she got up immediately. "I told her that her tears could heal the wound," Brimo said. Her smiles widened because apart from the fact that her mother already knew one of their abilities as fairies, she could grow the fruits of the mango tree again. She immediately stood up and went towards the small table next to the bed. "Why?" Brimo asked her in bewilderment and he followed her with his gaze. "I'm going back to my work," she replied and didn't feel any weakness in her body. She just took her magical bow on the small table next to the bed. "W-work — you mean the work of dripping your blood on the mango tree?" Brimo asked. She nodded and smiled as she pinned the quiver of her arrows behind her back. “I want our farmers to be plenty today. I want them to have a big income— ” "I won't allow you!" Brimo stood up quickly. "There's nothing wrong with helping. I want to help too. But I don't want you to hurt yourself!" Brimo insisted. “If I get hurt, my mother will still heal me. That's not a problem," she reasoned "I do not want. I won't let to happen on what happened to you earlier. I'm worried about you, Halia, "Brimo said, shaking his head. But, Halia just smiled and ran out of the room. "Halia?" Brimo shouted immediately and chased Halia out of the house. In the distance, he saw Halia pass Uzenio leaning against a mango tree. “Uzenio! Stop her! ”He shouted at Uzenio pointing at Halia while running. He could not use his ability to be agile because many people could see him and wonder. Uzenio was alarmed that he looked at him and his eyes followed what he was pointing to. Uzenio frowned as he looked at Halia who was running in the left direction of the mango plantation. Uzenio's eyes returned to him and Brimo stopped panting. He wouldn't be gasped in that short time if he used his power as a werewolf. But he can't use that especially with Uzenio with them. "Stop her!" He shouted at Uzenio and pointed at Halia. Uzenio's eyes widened and he acted as if he was ready to run until he ran out. He chased after Halia and caught up with her because she couldn't get away from him. Uzenio immediately grabbed Halia by the arm. And as Brimo approached, he could already see Uzenio speaking to her as if he was against what she was planning to do. Brimo stopped in front of them breathlessly. "Uzenio I need to reproduce the mango plantation fruits—" "You're going to lose your blood for doing that!" Uzenio held Halia's arm tightly. "You're overacting!" Halia glared at him. “I’m not overacting! I'm telling the truth! I know." Uzenio pointed at Halia's hand. "As long as there's blood coming out of there, you won't stop!" Uzenio predicted. "Just a little," Halia insisted. "No!" Brimo said loudly. Halia looked at him. "What you did earlier, that's enough, and don't do it again!" Brimo insisted. Halia was just upset because she noticed that Brimo was getting serious and he looked angry at her insistence. They were currently circling when Brimo suddenly stopped. Halia and Uzenio looked at him. "Why?" Halia asked him. There was no one in that part of that mango plantation except them, so Brimo’s stop and his weird reaction were immediately understood by Halia. She knew that Brimo has a sharp feeling and that was what was not in her ability. Halia can only hear sound from afar and can see in the dark but she does not feel and smell as sharp as Brimo's ability. "We have to get out of here," Brimo said calmly as he stared at a large mango tree just in front of them. Uzenio's forehead furrowed but the fear on his face was noticeable. "He's here," Brimo said softly and held Halia and Uzenio by the arm to prepare them in case something went wrong. “Damn it! Who are you talking about? ” Uzenio said panic and hid behind Brimo. He also pulled Halia. But Halia took an arrow from behind her. Uzenio looked at her. He pointed the tip of the arrow in the direction of the tree. "What's there?" Uzenio asked and his knees started shaking. Brimo quickly pushed Uzenio backward and he blocked his body on Halia when suddenly someone jumped from the mango tree. A handsome young man, wearing a black jacket and leather jeans. Uzenio's eyes widened when the man suddenly cracked his neck and then showed his fangs. His eyes were red. The reason is that Halia became even more aggressive in aiming the arrow at the vampire. But Uzenio's eyes widened and he had just recoiled from his sitting on the grass when he saw Brimo's long nails come out. "Torth," Brimo hissed.
