Chapter 34

Halia gulped because she saw the ferocity on Noreo's face.
"G-Good day, Mr. Milandres!" Halia bowed her head at her greeting to him.
"Come on, let's sit there." Noreo pointed to the wooden chair.
It was four chairs surrounding the small table. He walked first, and they followed.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Milan—"
"Uncle," Noreo said to let Halia know that's what he wanted her to call him. "Just call me Uncle. Mr. Milandres is too formal."
Halia just smiled and looked at Brimo.
"How is your life?" he asked and she looked at him. "I know we don't have to keep anything secret from you. You already know what my son's personality is, don't you?"
She bowed her head as she was ashamed. She looked at Noreo again and then nodded. "And I also know that you know something about me," she said truthfully.
Noreo's eyes dropped to the bow she was holding. He nodded and smiled at her. "It's been a long time and that weapon has been unusable. I'm glad, that once again I've met another magical bow holder."
Halia raised her bow and smilingly looked at it. "This is the last memory I have of my grandfather," she said and looked at Noreo. “He was the last to hold it before me,” she recounts.
"I know Damato," Noreo admitted. "I followed him, from the time he was born, until he grew up," Noreo also said, and she gave him a perplexed look.
She was confused by the situation because she knew her grandfather was old, and Brimo's father sitting in front of her was still young. He is almost not old, and when you look at him, he looks like they are just about Brimo's age.
"How did that happen?" she asked in bewilderment and looked at Brimo as he smiled at her.
"Our race can live long. It is no different from yours. Most of us last for more than ten decades. We grew slowly and we are not susceptible to disease. We will only die if we are killed by silver and fire," he even tells the truth.
"When silver is buried in our body, it hinders our ability to change form. We are no different from vampires. What is their weakness is also our weakness," he added.
Halia thought even more. If werewolves are weak when it comes to silver. Why was Brimo wearing a ring then? How does he do that? That was the question of her mind.
"But the race you have doesn't grow old. That's the race of fairies. Diam and Damato only grew old because the human race is in their blood. But they also age slowly like us," Noreo continued.
Halia's eyes widened. "But my Grandpa Damato was over eighty before he died," she clarified.
Noreo sighed. "Your grandfather lived over a hundred years. He was Diam's son, and Diam lived over two hundred years," he said truthfully and she looked at Brimo.
She just stared at him, because of what she found out and covered her mouth.
"In the eyes of many people, he was old, at times when he should have been old as a man. But the truth is only magic made him old so that his peers would not suspect him. The only one who knew his personality is his wife Maria. "
"That's mean what happened to my grandfather was—"
"Will happen to you too," he snapped as she spoke.
She was even more surprised as he looked at her palms. She could not fully imagine that even now, she knew she would live on earth for a long time. And she will take over a hundred years.
She felt Brimo's grip on her waist. "I'll just get dressed first," he whispered to her then he stood up.
She didn't respond to him and just stared at Noreo until Brimo walked away.
"But your grandfather lived peacefully. He managed to have a happy family even though he was in charge of the magical bow," Noreo said.
"Does my grandfather know that there are werewolves like you?" Halia asked.
Noreo nodded. "I show myself to him as a werewolf in the forest. But we don't get close," he replied. “I have to steer clear to protect those creatures like me,” Noreo admits.
"But why did the vampires stop?" she asked.
“The vampires didn’t stop, but our race was able to control them,” Noreo replied.
Her forehead furrowed. "They are strong, they move fast—"
"But their strongest vampire has gone," Noreo replied immediately.
"Strongest Vampire?"
"He's the twin of the vampire prince who wants to take you. Brimo killed him a long time ago."
She remembered what Brimo and Torth were talking about as they fought. Brimo spoke up about that thing that even angered Torth.
"Their king complied with my decision. Not because werewolves are stronger forces than vampires but because they know that Brimo is the center of our lineage," he explained.
The ability that Brimo was telling Torth, that Torth didn't know either. And she knew that Brimo’s ability wasn’t just simple power. She was assured that  the vampires were afraid of it.
"But that doesn't mean I have to be complacent," Noreo continued, and Halia furrowed.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because they had a hoped to continue what they used to want to do," he replied, and she was even more confused.
"That's mean, they have a plan to hurt people again?" she asked. "Will they invade the people, and kill them?"
“They can only do that when they can find someone who can strengthen their forces,” he replied.
"Someone? Who is this person, Uncle?" she asked.
"You," he replied, and something seemed to hit her chest, and its throbbing intensified.
"M-Me?" she pointed to herself.
"Vampires are not ignorant of your personality. They know that you are different from humans. And when they made you a vampire, their force will be stronger, and you will be able to match the strength that Brimo has. Because the mixture of the blood of the fairy, and the human will be mixed with vampire blood. You will be the strongest vampire of them all," Noreo explained, and her eyes widened.
She felt scared again especially as she remembered the vampires chasing her. She just didn't understand the real reason for that. All she thought was to make her an ally of the vampires to increase their force. But she didn't think that when she became a vampire, she would become powerful.
"The power of a fairy is inside your body. You have hidden magic that you have never unleashed before. I know that the power of white light is inside you, but you just don't know it," he added.
"White light?" she asked in bewilderment.
"When you are recognized as the servant of the magical bow the white light power in your body has been turned on," he replied and stared at her intently. "Not only can you take it out but I can see right in your skins the power you have, Halia."
She looked at her arms. She remembered what had happened to her when she called for her magical bow. Her skin grew whiter and smoother. Her hair had grown even longer, and since that happened she had noticed a lot in herself.
Halia and Noreo continued the conversation. But their conversation stopped when Brimo is back.
"Father king, I would like to take Halia for a walk around our orchard," Brimo asked his father.
"No problem. Go ahead and take her around so that she can see our plantations," agreed his father.
Brimo and Halia looked at each other and smiled. Brimo took her to the orchard of oranges, and she just looked around in amazement.
She was suddenly craved for the fruit as she stared at the orange.
"Do you want one?" Brimo suddenly asked her.
"Is that sweet?" she asked.
"Of course," he replied and picked up one.
As Brimo peeled the orange, he swallowed literally. Brimo divided it in two and gave her half. When she ate it she was felt satisfied.
"I like the taste," she praised the taste of the fruit.
"But you'll like to my taste better," Brimo joked and pointed to his lip.
Halia glared at him, and Brimo giggled. "I missed you, it's been a long time since the last time something happened to us," Brimo said.
She pinched his chest. "You want sex?" she asked annoyed.
Brimo's smile widened as he endured the pain. "Can we?" he asked.
She averted her eyes. "You are a pervert," she mumbled.
"Of course, but only for you," he replied softly.
When she finished what she was eating, she took half of Brimo's hand. She ignored him and walked ahead.
"I'll go to your room later," Brimo said and she immediately looked around.
She sighed deeply as she realized no one was there. Instead of facing Brimo to answer it, she continued to step forward. At her step, his gaze suddenly rotated.
She stopped walking and was grabbed by her head because she suddenly felt dizzy.
"Why?" Brimo asked her.
She searches her hand in the air to hold Brimo. She could hardly see where Brimo was because her vision was blurring.
"Halia?" there was apprehension in Brimo's voice.
"I'm dizzy, I'm not feeling well ..."
"Halia!" Brimo's last words she heard, and everything with her went black.
When Halia awoke, her eyes roamed. She looked at the ceiling, walls, curtains, and to the door. She was in her bedroom. But when she remembered everything, she knew she was from Brimo's town.
She got up and shook her head. She felt for herself whether she was sick or not but she felt nothing.
She slowly stood up, and went out of her room. When she got down, she saw her father that has a laptop on his lap.
Brimo was also looking at her.
"Father?" she whispered, and at the same time, Brimo and his father looked at her.
"You're awake," Marco said and put down the laptop.
She looked at Brimo.
"I brought you home here because it will take you a long time to wake up, and it will soon get dark," Brimo explained.
"Where's Mother?" she asked.
"In the kitchen," replied her father.
She stepped into the kitchen, and she smelled what her mother was cooking. But she didn't like the smell, and her stomach got worse.
She was nauseous and held in her stomach.
"Halia?" her father worried, and they stood up. "Why?"
"What are—" She couldn't finish speaking, and she was nauseous again. "What are you cooking, Mother?"
"Fried chicken." She was even surprised by her mother's answer.
"Fried chicken? Why it's so stinky?" she asked and vomited again.
"Stinky? What's stinky? I'm cooking fried chicken—" Karina stopped speaking when she understood Halia's situation. "Wait! Halia?" She raised her voice but Halia ran to the bathroom and vomited.
Marco's fist clenched and he slowly looked at Brimo wickedly. Karina also looked at Brimo in a serious way.
"W-Why?" Brimo asked and gulped as he was nervous.
"What did you do to Halia?" Marco asked Brimo.
"Huh? Nothing," Brimo replied as he shook his head.
"I told you, you can court my daughter, for a year. But why she was pregnant now?" Marco shouted at Brimo.
Brimo's eyes widened. "H-Huh?"
