Chapter 37

Brimo decided to go home alone with them to tell his father about his situation with Halia.
There was a fear in his heart that his father might be angry with what he had done.
He even told Halia that their differences were no longer important, but he was still worried that his father might not accept them.
They were werewolves, and he was the center of their races. The blood of the various race of werewolves was in his person. Blood of the Primordial Werewolf was the strongest werewolf in their lineage. Blood of Finrrisul werewolf has a keen sense of smell and is not easy to be fooled. Blood of Karkaroff werewolf expert in being wise. Blood of the Tundra werewolf has a soft heart and is close to people.
Those four races were united in his person. The different strengths that each kind of werewolf possesses are within his ability.
Now, if Halia will be his wife, he is not sure if his father agrees. Halia is not a werewolf and she has the blood of a fairy in her person.
He just sighed and decided to step towards his father. He is now standing in his favorite spot to relax.
"Are you here to tell me that you will soon be a father?"
He stopped in his tracks and stared at his father's back who was still not facing him.
"Don't ask me how I found out." His father sighed and faced him. “Take Halia, bring her here. Let her live here to be protected. ”
He gave his father a startled look. His words about Halia seem to have a deep meaning, and it doesn’t seem desirable.
“What do you mean, father king?” He took one step closer to his father.  His chest throbbing as he waited for him to speak again.
"Brimo." His father stepped closer to him. He was still holding his drink, and staring at him seriously. "I already know the truth about you."
His forehead furrowed even more, and his mind was also confused.
“What truth—”
"You are the father of the baby spoken of in the prophecy."
His eyes widened, as he stared at his father, and suddenly his child, who was still in Halia's womb entered his mind.
"B-Baby that says in the prophecy?" he asked in a whisper but he couldn't believe it.
“It is your child. The baby in Halia’s womb today is the baby that is the center of the four lineages. The lineage of the human, fairy, werewolf, and vampire are united in his/her person. ”
He was even more confused by what his father had said. His mind wonders how his child could have vampire blood.
"But Halia, father king, does not have a vampire race," he reasoned to defend his child's identity.
“That is the reason why you have to bring Halia here. She's set to be bitten by a vampire and you'll be the one to stop it, Brimo. "
It seems that cold water was poured on him after he heard what his father said. He shook his head repeatedly. He finds it difficult to accept the fact that of all the creatures that can be the center of the four lineages, why it was his child?
“Don't let the vampire's blood merge with your child's persona. He/she was dangerous when that happened,” his father added and his forehead began to sweat.
“N-No. My child is not the center of the four— ”
“But a soothsayer said it, Brimo. Think about it carefully. You are the center of our race, Halia is the woman who was the blood of humans and fairies. And your future child has already mixed your forces in his person. Only one race is not yet to unite, and that is the vampire race,” explained his father.
His chest tightened and he looked at the emptiness. He felt very worried that this time, Halia was being attacked by a vampire.
“Don't let a vampire bite Halia, Brimo. Because if should that happen, your child will be a big threat to the world. ”
After his father said that, he couldn't stop himself from panicking. "How can I tell her parents?" She said anxiously. "They don't know anything about who I am."
-
On the other hand, Halia's parents are currently talking to her. Tensions ran high throughout their home, because of the rebukes she heard from her father and mother.
She sat on their couch as her tears flowed. If before she was able to calm down when they were with Brimo, now they are serious about asking her.
“You are our only child, Halia. I hope you thought about that before you gave yourself up to him,” said her mother, disappointed.
She just looked down and simply wiped the tears from her eyes.
"How long have you been in a relationship?" Her father asked.
She couldn't answer, because she remembered the whole truth. Before Brimo approached her parents, there's something had already happened to them. And that’s what her parents don’t know.
"Halia, I'm asking you," her father whispered.
She sobbed even more because of Marco's pressure question to her. She raised her face and looked at her father.
"I'm sorry, Father," she cried and then lowered her head again when she noticed the astonishment of their reactions.
"Brimo and I had already intervened first before he asked you to court me," she admitted to the truth.
"What?" Her mother exclaimed.
“S-Something happened to us in the forest. We were carried away by the sensation we felt for each other,” she admitted.
Marco just stared at her and tapped Karina's knee while her eyes were filled with tears.
Karina, on the other hand, just wiped her face and looked at her. “Why? Why in that place— ”
“I was carried away. I liked it-"
"I won't judge you," Her mother stopped speaking and stared into her face. “I understand how you felt at the time. But hopefully, you avoided that. You should have thought of yourself. You're a girl—"
“I love him, Mother. I gave myself to him because I loved him. And I don't regret it. I’m glad that I’m pregnant now, and he’s the father. Hopefully, you will accept that. " resentment filled the word she left.
Her parents could not speak. Her mother just cried. “I'm just hurt. We took care of you, Halia. We raised you to be a smart woman, ” Karina's tone was sullen.
“We have to forget it, it already had happened. Brimo is determined to stand up for her as a father of their child. That’s enough,” her father said disgustingly.
His mother nodded in disgust. "I can't do anything else."
Silence prevailed throughout the house. After a few seconds, no one spoke to them. A loud sigh filled their surroundings and sobs of their weeping.
Conscience also prevailed over her because she did not follow the step of her mother. According to the love story of her parents, it took two years that her father courted her mother.
His father struggled to make her mother fall in love while Brimo just kissed her in the river and she let him claim her.
"Halia?"
She raised her face when she heard the man's voice calling to them from outside the house.
“Halia? Are you there?"
She can recognize the voice calling to her. She looked at her parents once wiping away her tears.
"All right, go to Uzenio," her mother ordered her.
She just nodded and stood up. Her mother's gaze followed her as well as her father's.
She felt them stand up and went back at their perspective activities. She ignored that and then went down the stairs.
She saw Uzenio outside their gate. She hurried to the gate and opened it.
"What happened to you and your eyes are swollen?" He commented to her.
Her lips parted again and her tears simply dripped. "No," she replied, undertone and managed to prevent her cry.
But he looked at her as if scanning her face. "Are you fighting with Brimo?"
She shook her head. "He's happy."
"Ha?" Uzenio asked, scratching his head.
"Come in," she invited and widened the gate open.
Uzenio entered, still looking at her. "Are you sure? Looks like you have a problem. What happened?" he asked.
She stepped first and Uzenio followed behind her. They went up the stairs and Uzenio was still staring at the white t-shirt she was wearing.
“I have no problem with Brimo. Our relationship is okay,” she replied and Uzenio did not speak until they reached inside the house. "Sit down first," she offered.
Uzenio sat on the couch while she went to the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator and grabbed cookies and a pitcher of juice.
She brought it to Uzenio along with two glasses.
"Eh, why are your eyes puffy?" Uzenio asked as she put juice in a glass.
She first handed it to him and then she answered him. "There was just a problem, but it was already fixed."
"Between you and Brimo?" He asked as if he was insisting that Brimo had done something wrong to her.
She sighed and sat down on the couch facing him. "It's about us, but we don't have the problem."
"Then, who do you have a problem with?” he asked.
"Our parents," she replied.
"To Auntie and Uncle?" Uzenio looked up at the top of the stairs where Karina was standing.
She also looked there and saw her mother. "They're okay, the problem is over," she replied to him after she looked at her mother.
"You can tell me what happened, right?"
She looked at her fingers as she played with them. She wondered if it was right for her to tell Uzenio the truth. But what else is the reason for her to hide her situation? The day will also come when Uzenio will know the truth
"I'm pregnant."
