"Will you marry me, Kimberly Johnson? Since the first day I met you, I found you very interesting. I told myself many times that I don’t love you, but I was deceiving myself. You have been the best partner I have ever had, Kim. Please don’t say No,” Landon uttered. "Say yes!" The crowd in the restaurant chorused and that was when she raised her head and realized that they were not the only ones in the restaurant. There was Ruby, Daniel, and many other faces that she had not seen in her life before. She looked at Landon and her pace raced like a train. Tears heated her eyes and in no time, they streamed down her cheeks. "Yes, Landon. Yes." She said and Landon placed the ring on her finger. He got up and pulled her in his arms, kissing her firmly. "I love you so much Kimberly, thank you for making me the happiest man on Earth." He hugged her while she still wept. "I love you too baby." She replied and the cheers from the people kept growing louder and louder. They all seemed so happy for her. *** Alex climbed down his car only to see the restaurant looking all crowded. "What is going on here?" He asked himself wondering why Landon would pick such a rowdy place to meet with him. "Is he that scared of me?" Alex asked himself walking to the restaurant with a smirk on his face. Knowing they feared him gave him this great ego. He got to the restaurant door to see people chatting. It didn't seem like they were eating or even buying food. They seemed like they were at a party. He looked for Landon with eyes but he couldn't sight him anywhere. Suddenly, he felt a tap on his shoulders. He looked back and it happened to be Landon looking all so styled up, and Kim was beside him holding unto him. She looked so elegant. "Wow, you look beautiful," Alex said before thinking of saying another thing to them. "Thanks. Please have your seat." Kim said pointing to the chair in front of Alex and he nodded slowly sitting on the chair. Landon drew back the other chair in front so Kimberly could sit on it too. "Thanks, baby." She said, planting a kiss on Landon's lips and he kissed her back. Alex who was beginning to grow vexed cleared his throat aloud and interrupted their little moment. "So sorry about that, I can't resist her lips," Landon said, pulling another chair close to Kim, so there were three at the round table. "You asked me to be here, now I am here. What do you want from me?" Alex asked and Kim smiled "We don't need anything from you. We are here to say a very big thank you to you for what you did for our family. We do appreciate you, in fact, everything you do." Kimberly started and Alex smiled faintly. "Thanks." He responded and then Kim raised her hand and adjusted her hair when Alex's eyes caught the ring on Kimberly's hand. "Sorry, why did you choose such a crowded place for us?" He asked, looking at Landon who smiled faintly. "I needed to do something here," Landon said and then Peter approached them. "Congratulations couples." Ruby and Daniel tease as they headed for the door. "Thank you so much friend, do you wanna see me before going?" Landon asked and he smiled, shaking his head. "No, it is fine. I would chat you up online." Daniel replied and smiled at Kim who gave a brief bow. "Okay then. Goodbye?" Landon asked, shifting his gaze to Ruby. "I think so. Goodbye." He responded and exchanged winks before he left the restaurant. "Please I have to be somewhere," Alex said, realizing Landon proposed to Kim already, in the same restaurant. "Oh right," Kim said, picking up a piece of paper and stretching it to him. "Here. If you need more let me know." She said, and Alex scoffed, collecting it from her and opening it to see it was a check. "I don't need this." He said dropping the check on the table without bothering to see how much was written on it. "This is just a token of appreciation. Is it too small?" Landon asked and Alex scoffed again. "I am not suffering, okay? And I don't need anything from you. I am outta here." He said boiling in anger and they all exchanged looks wondering why he acted so strange. He got to his car and pulled out his phone. He searched for a number and dialed it as he sat in the car. "Hey, we have work. This may be the last one we would be doing together." He said and hung up the call driving away angrily.
