"Hey… Lolly… What's up with you?... I didn't see you all day… should have known you've been hiding here" Kurah takes a seat beside Lolita, but far away enough to hinder her view of Lolita's screen. She was trying to give her friend some privacy, but unknown to Kurah, if she had moved a little closer to the screen, she would have seen something that would shock her to her core. Alas, she was trying to keep her nose out of her friend's private business. "Tell me… what's with you and that FaceUp application?... You know… I even tried looking it up on the Playstore… but… surprisingly… it wasn't there… This only leaves room for one possibility… you developed it, so you have the only copy there is! Kurah declares with conviction. Lolita only shrugged in response, to which Kurah's eyes lit up in glee. She felt so proud of her friend that she didn't have words to describe it. The only words that escaped her lips were "Awesome!!!" Lolita watched her friend and asked jovially, "you really are surprised, huh?" Kurah was rather shocked to have Lolita catching onto her act of feigning shock. She quickly admitted after being caught and said, "I really feel so lucky to have you as my sister-in-law… hehehe… my brother would be so smitten… I just can't wait for the two of you to meet!" "Minnie!... You're so impossible" Lolita spoke flatly while keeping her face glued to the computer screen. She kept squinting and relaxing her brows, so Kurah knew she was really fixated on whatever she was doing. Even though she felt that she was bothering her friend somehow, Kurah still asked anyway, "What's it about you and FaceUp?" As if she was expecting this question, Lolita also asked in return, "What's the name of your Pack?" Kurah could only smile knowingly and add, "I get it… You can't tell if you shouldn't…I'll get going then" Lolita surprisingly responded as she watched her friend attempt to give her privacy by stepping out of her room. "There was an alpha… in my home… I saved him… but he killed my grandmother in my absence" Lolita then gives a bitter smile and continues flatly, "Kurah… I want his head… Nothing would make me happier!" Kurah nodded in understanding and said, "When you find him… let me have the honor of ridding this dimension of his evil presence…" She wouldn't have considered, even in her wildest dream, that her brother might be the Alpha in question. Kurah looked meaningfully at her friend and continued, I still believe my Pack can help better… Lolly… this seems to be the work of a rogue… you know… my brother wouldn't even need to dirty his hands to sort this out for you!... His sidekicks would be more than willing" Lolita, however, shook her head in disapproval and said, "that cursed son of a b***h must answer to one person only… and that person is me!... You know… Kurah… I've actually been thinking of ways to show my appreciation when I finally meet him" Lolita finished her sentence with a meaningful smile that Kurah understood perfectly well. Kurah then nodded in understanding, but suddenly had the thought of making her brother assist Lolita in the shadows. After all, Lolita doesn't need to know they are helping her at any point. Her brother would also get to be with Lolita at the end of it all, she was convinced about that. She couldn't help feeling extremely gladened about her new idea. Meanwhile, Lolita pondered on Kurah's words about the perpetrator being a rogue. Then she shook her head and concluded once more as she chose to drop the thoughts, "that dude seems to be more than a rogue to me" Even though Lolita hates to admit it, the person she saw that night wasn't a rogue. He was a real alpha with some weird sidekicks who would do anything he told them. A thought then occurred to Lolita and she concluded that she had been focused on nothing that could help her find Gavin. How about focusing on his two sidekicks? If she can't find Gavin, finding Wesley or Ortiz would be as good as finding him, right? Kurah was having a good time with Lolita as she watched her work away on her computer. The girl was so bored while pressing her phone that she couldn't have imagined her life would become filled with more activities in just a heartbeat. The ringing of her mobile phone got her wondering who could be calling at the moment. Without giving it much thought, Kurah picked up the call and was about to lash out at Ortiz for calling again when she dropped her phone out of shock. On the other hand, Gavin remained silent, even though he wasn't aware of the extent to which his phone call had frightened his sister. She could only pick up her phone and quickly begin her attempt at some damage control. "Hey… big bro… it's such a pleasure to…" before Kurah could complete her statement, her brother cut her off coldly and said, "I'm in your house!" Then the phone went silent. Kurah didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but she was clearly shaken to the core. Her brother was in her house, which means she has to face him sooner or later. Lolita was filled with new inspiration when she noticed how Kurah was visibly terrified by her brother. "Your brother huh?... Should I meet him right away?" Kurah, however, was not in the mood to banter words with her friend, as she was aware that Lolita was clearly mocking her. She could only respond with, "sorry… not today… I… have to go… See you later, Lolly" Witnessing her clumsy attitude and panicky exit after speaking with her brother briefly, Lolita felt the urge to meet this big brother of Kurah's. She really longed to meet the person who could keep her on her toes in such a manner. Someone Kurah loves, respects, and fears at the same time must not be an easy character. Lolita kept working at her computer until Ruby pressured her to descend for lunch. Even as Lolita ate her meal, she still had her phone in front of her. All of a sudden, she stood up abruptly and ended up spilling juice all over the table. None of the mess on the table even caught her eye though. The sound of plates hitting the table rather alerted Ruby, who rushed to the dining room, only to witness Lolita dashing for her room without a single word. The mess on the table came as a shock to Ruby, as Lolita would never be this clumsy. She knew something must have been wrong with her, judging from how she rushed downstairs with her motorbike keys in her hands. One thing Ruby noticed was Lolita's terrifying anger-filled expression. She was tempted to advise Lolita against riding too speedily but alas, she chose to keep her words to herself. There is no need to aggravate the young girl any further. Having worked as a housekeeper for some time, Ruby knows when to keep quiet, and this is one such time. ***
