Chapter 35 Just You Wait!

"Could you make it snappy? I urgently need to be somewhere!" Lolita urges the man standing before her, without the slightest fear or timidity.
She was the first student to look master Kai in the eye without feeling any pressure. This makes him love the talent before him more and more. He sees Lolita as an extraordinary talent and nothing more. It would even be more appropriate to say that he is intrigued by her personality.
Master Kai looks frustratedly at Lolita as he reiterates, "this tournament would take place at Dark-Dawn Avenue, and I have never seen any human who wouldn't die to go there!"
He notices a slight change in Lolita's expression and sees it as a cue to continue. Had he not been watching her like a hawk, he wouldn't have noticed the slight and almost imperceptible crack in her cold expression.
He then adds enthusiastically, "Professor Mason even assured me that he would ensure you miss out on nothing while on this journey. He would also be coming along on this journey, so you have nothing to lose, if you ask me."
Master Kai was expecting to see an exaggerated expression on Lolita after his statement, however, reality proved to be more shocking than he'd thought.
"Professor Mason… of course, he'll come along! Tsk" Lolita was fixated on how the lecturer was so obsessed with werewolves, and she knew that he wasn't going to Dark-Dawn Avenue to watch or tutor her, but to rather conduct his research.
The man categorically told Lolita that she had no reason to be in school since she was smarter than the best doctors he had ever seen. He gave a silent recognition of her abilities, which means he wouldn't even bother to attempt tutoring her privately.
Suddenly, it clicked in Lolita's mind that she was missing something, Dark-Dawn Avenue. She quickly responds by saying, "I'm in!" At the same time, she had a smirk on her lips that Master Kai didn't bother to probe. He had achieved his aim, and nothing else mattered right now.
He quickly hands Lolita a badge which surprisingly has her name beautifully engraved on it, with the assumption date being a shocking two and a half months ago.
Lolita didn't bother trying to banter words with the over-enthusiastic man before her, as she quickly grabbed the card and zoomed off on her motorbike. She heard him say behind her, "we leave in two days!" However, she didn't give any response.
Lolita suddenly applied the brakes and turned around to give Master Kai a quizzical look. He could only scratch his head awkwardly as he said in a panic, "I know it's impromptu. But don't give up on us, okay? I promise you'll have lots of fun… and medals."
Lolita only shook her head helplessly and mouths imperceptibly, "the sooner the better!"
Master Kai watched on as Lolita's figure gradually disappeared from his sight, and he said to no one in particular, "who are you, really?"
His mind took him down memory lane. He remembers how he's been trying to recruit Lolita for the past two months, only for her to always have a reason to walk away from him, or even escape his line of sight.
"Sometimes, I don't even know when I lose sight of her. It's as though she disappears from my sight." Hearing Lolita agree to join the team came as a great relief to Master Kai, and he felt that he needed to finally announce his victory to Professor Mason.
The dude told him he would give him a million dollars if Lolita agrees to join the All-round academy. Unknown to Master Kai, Professor Mason said that deliberately. He knew Master Kai would do anything to have a feel of the win and the money.
What Professor Mason didn't envision, however, was that the mention of Dark-Dawn Avenue would pique Lolita's interest and compel her to agree. All master Kai needed to do was mention it to her.

Lolita walks into the supermarket and takes a seat at the entrance. She then waits quietly, while pressing her computer. Suddenly, a waitress walks up to her and asks,
"Hi, Do you wish to order anything?" She responds without even lifting her head from the computer screen, "just get me something nice"
The waitress smiles knowingly, as she moves to get Lolita's order. Fifteen minutes later, she returns with a cup of chilled cappuccino. Beneath it was a very tiny pen drive that no one would even consider a storage device on a regular day.
For the first time after her grandmother's death, Lolita gave a beautiful smile that rendered the waitress speechless. Then she says emotionally, "thank you… very much"
When Lolita walked away with her cappuccino, the waitress cleans the table and was about to walk away when she notices a credit card on the seat Lolita just vacated.
She meant to run after her, but after turning the card over, her eyes bulged so much that her boss' attention was drawn to her. "Oh my God!"
She schools her expression and immediately picks up the card, only to have the boss walk to her at that moment. The waitress quickly pushes the card into her pocket and requests to use the bathroom.
The words, "keep the change" were written on the back, and when she checked the card, she was speechless.
"One hundred and fifty thousand dollars? The password is even my birthday? How did she even know that?"
The waitress never knew that she could make so much money, just by placing a pen drive close to the computer in the control room.

Lolita paced back and forth, as she noticed how Kurah was carried by none other than one of Alpha Gavin's sidekicks.
She couldn't even tell where to start, but one thing is sure, she had to go to Dark-Dawn Avenue. "I guess we'll meet sooner than later. Just pray you did nothing to my friend. Gavin, Oh Gavin! Just you wait"
Lolita's senses and reflexes had improved greatly over the past ten weeks. She tried everything possible to calm her nerves. As a result, she got better at her marksmanship and is undoubtedly the best her team could ever boast of. However, she needed to train with the other team members once.
"Why should I even convince a bunch of boys and girls about my abilities anyway?" She would rather silence them with her abilities.
"That should buy me enough time to search for clues, instead of training with the team members. They wouldn't even bother me about group training when they got to Wolftown."
Suddenly, a text message appeared on Lolita's phone and rendered her more pissed than ever.
"Shit, someone is trying to play games with me."
