Chapter 40 Capture Kurah's Brother!

"What are you doing here?" Lily asked Lolita aggressively. She was startled to see the little girl walking so freely in the dark kitchen as though she was a creature of the dark.
Lolita ignored her, only for her to reiterate, "I'm talking to you, Lolita Clint!" She was angry because Lolita ignored and treated her like she was air.
As if there was no one else in the kitchen but her, Lolita reached for her food and made a move to walk out of the kitchen. She was at a crossroads and had to return quickly to check on what the satellite images had to offer.
She deftly maneuvered her way around the seething team member and walked back to her room. She kept her aloof expression all through her encounter with the student till she got to her room. As a result, Lily didn't suspect a thing.
However, Lolita felt that she had just chanced on a strange occurrence. As she was deep in thought, the memories of the vampire princess came rushing into her mind, and she quickly made sense of the situation.
"Why is she here? And how did she even get here? Well, it's none of my business. An enemy of an enemy is a friend after all."
That being said, Lolita went into her room to enjoy her meal without a care for anything in the world.
Venom felt uneasy about the situation. "What are you going to do?" He wanted to know if she had any plans to deal with the current situation.
"I don't care. I'll even assist if she needed my help. Razing Wolftown to the ground wouldn't be a bad idea after all." Knowing the snake wasn't happy with her decision, Lolita gave it a taunting wink out of the blue, catching it off-guard.
Venom wanted to dissuade Lolita, but a sudden beep caught their attention. She rushed to check her computer screen, only to witness something that made her both happy and pissed at the same time.
"Venom, I have to go. Are you coming with me or not?" Lolita didn't even finish her statement before Venom coiled around her wrist. She leaped through her window and was soon out of the compound without difficulty.
No one noticed her absence, not even the butler. As Lolita tried moving away from the house, she spotted someone making her way out also.
However, she once again turned a blind eye to the person's suspicious activities. She only remained at her spot till the other person was out of sight.
The students had already been cautioned to stay indoors, as the town was currently mourning the passing of the former ruler. Strangers of visitors were not permitted to go beyond the curfew.
All students were cautioned to stay indoors after eight in the evening. They were not to step out until it was morning.

An arrow suddenly pierced through the leg of a guard, immediately rendering him paralyzed. The next guard was suddenly attacked by an arrow to the neck. He also became unconscious immediately.
Lolita took out one guard after the other, as she moved on a particular trail, till she got to a window by scaling the walls.
Looking into the room, she spotted a middle-aged woman who looked so much like Kurah. Luna Kendra was looking at her daughter with pain in her eyes.
When Lolita saw the emotions in her eyes, she felt like her world had come crashing down. She couldn't believe that these people could put Kurah in such a situation, only to bring her mother to watch her daughter in that state.
What do they even want from them anyway? At that moment, Lolita regretted always brushing off the topic of speaking with Kurah's brother. She also regretted not taking his number as Kurah had suggested on several occasions.
"These people are animals." Kurah watched Luna Kendra for a while and concluded, "They do not want them out of here. So let's keep it that way."
She believed that Kurah would raze the place to the ground when she gets better. So no need to get her out of the place. All she had to do was cure her, and she'll take care of the rest.
She quickly shot her an arrow laced with sedative. Luna Kendra quickly fell asleep where she lay, and Lolita deftly climbed in through the window and got to work.
No one would believe that a mortal could scale those walls with ease, but Lolita did it so effortlessly.
She fed Kurah with potion after potion, and poison after poison. She also countered the wolfsbane by administering a small portion of toxin from the plant onto Kurah's body.
The poison seeped into her body through the burns she sustained. Lolita spent all night working on her friend till it was almost the late hours of dawn. She didn't have a wink of sleep, and neither did she rest throughout.
It was time for the guards to change shifts, and she had to leave before someone noticed her presence or even the absence of the old team.
Lolita then scribbled a few herbs and their preparation on paper for Luna Kendra.
Coincidentally, she placed it right where Drucilla always placed the doctor's prescriptions.
In her slumber, Kurah could hear her friend speak, "You are a fighter, Kurah. I'll see you in three days. Don't disappoint me."
When Lolita mentioned the name Kurah, her wolf suddenly stirred. In a few hours, Kurah was awake. Lolita didn't only heal Minnie, but also healed her wolf, Kurah.
The ruling family of Dark-Dawn Avenue is the direct descendant of the moon goddess. They hail from the Werewolf Realm in the Parallel Space.
Among them, some clans produced betas, otherwise, hers produced warriors, and some others also produced Omegas. However, the ruling clan is the Korah clan which Gavin's father and his father's father hailed from.
At their awakening, their wolves are named by the moon goddess herself. However, since the moon goddess wasn't in direct contact with them in this realm, the oracle does the naming.
The first child of the Smiths was named Gavin, and his wolf, Kuralis. Hence, Gavin Kuralis Smith.
The second child was named Minnie, and her wolf, Kurah. So she was named Minnie Kurah Smith.
Minnie, however, preferred to be referred to as Kurah, as she loved her wolf's name so much. She always complained that her parents named her Minnie, which sounds more like a meanie. She wouldn't want people to think she's a mean person.

When Lolita lay in her bed, she felt like a big burden had been taken off her chest. She wished to see or call Kurah to find out how she was doing. However, she would rather be patient and wait for three days.
Withstanding, she still picked up her phone and sent Kurah a text, "Hey Kurah, call me!" She then added smiling emojis and forwarded the message to her friend.
Kurah's state of health compelled Lolita to dig deeper into Dark-Dawn Avenue. If they could do that to her friend, then they are capable of many more atrocities.
"Being wolves themselves, they chose to treat a fellow wolf with such impunity. Alpha Gavin, you are ruthless. I give you that"
Suddenly, Lolita's eyes bulged like they wanted to escape their sockets. She then tapped Venom twice and said conclusively,
"I think Gavin brought them here because he wanted to capture Kurah's brother! Why not go for someone he loves? He would willingly present himself on a silver platter, and Gavin wouldn't need to lift a finger.
Venom, if we can't find Kurah's brother, let's just find the cursed Alpha Gavin. I won't allow him to hurt another soul.
It's time to take back what I gave"
