She looked at him from head to toe and adjusted her stance, crossing her legs and standing like the dignified lady she knew she was. "Brother? He's your brother?" Evander nodded still glancing at his brother as she looked between them. "Well. Good for you." She said curly and went to stand by Evander's side. "So, brother. What brought you here?" Alexander was looking at Isabella, studying her, a small smile curving his small pink lips upward. Evander noticed and cleared his throat. "Alexander." He looked up, and laughed at his own absentmindedness. "Sorry. She's cute. Where did you get her from?" "I'm not a frigging puppy." She interjected before Evander could even open his mouth. Alexander burst into laughter again, and adjusted his tall frame so he was mostly looking at his brother. " you came to pay your respects?" Evander nodded. "I think its about time." Alexander moved, so he could get a better view of the grave, with Isabella casting dirty looks at him out of the corner of her eyes. Evander lowered his head, looking at the cold stones, stones he never touched while they could still warm his hand. "Can you...both of you..please leave me alone for a moment? I need to talk to them alone." Alexanderreadily nodded and left, looking at Isabella who was hesitating, and urging her to leave too. She turned and moved away from him, but still stayed close enough to hear him. "Mum, dad." He said, touching the cold stones gently.. "Mum, its me..Evander. No, you used to call me blue...you said I would be just like dad. Yes, mum. I am just like him...but he was thrice the man I’ll ever be. He always will be. I miss you guys...I’m so sorry it took this long, I’m so sorry I couldn't hug you guys when you were still warm. I'm such a bad son, but you never really spanked me, dad. You'd hold me up and tell me stories till I realized my own mistakes...you were always there. God, I miss you so much." He wiped his face and sat close to the graves, his head down. "I never thought I would lose both of you that easily. I never knew you would leave like this. I..I would have spent more time....more energy with you..But how much time would cover up the lifetime I already lost?" He bit his lower lip hard. "Alexander left, father...he blames himself for what happened...Father, both of us...we want you back..we need you back. But we don't know how to interfere with fate. We don't know how to turn back the hands of time. We don’t know how to love you and see you love us back. Mum..." His voice trailed off, leaving only the whistle of the air around him. "I need both of you back." He said again. This time, letting his remorse scrunch up his face, the tears flowing and still stinging at the back of his eyes. He stood up, bent over and kissed the cold stones, his tears dropping on them, staining them, and he stood back up. "I love you mum, dad. And I miss you too." He said and the last thing he heard was the echo of his own words carried by the wind before he left, Isabella holding on to him more for his comfort than hers, and they both left, Alexander trailing behind them. "Big bro!" Alec said, throwing a friendly punch at Alexander as he came in. Alexander laughed and tackled him, and all except Isabella joined in, familiarity she somehow felt excluded from existed between them. "Let's eat." Evander said, recovering and she noticed that he was a bit of a more serious person than his elder brother. Soon, all of them were sitting round Evander's giant, round dining table, eating happily. A girl, with big blonde curls and oval face served the food as she kept strutting to and fro, twisting her waist at Evander who wasn’t even looking. Isabella, who wasn’t really joining in the conversation much, no matter how Evander tried to draw her in, was the first to notice the girl's antics. She tried to ignore it at first, but once the girl wrapped a hand around Evander’s seat, leaning dangerously low, she lost it. "Get out." Everyone at the table turned to her as she glared at the girl so angrily, even her own wolf fought to take over. The girl straightened and scratched her head, stuttering out excuses. " b..b..ut..I was.." "I said get the hell out." "Whoa, whoa, chill sister." Alexander interjected, while Evander was even too shocked to say a thing. "You stay out of this." She said to him. "You get out." She said, turning to the girl. The girl, seeing no other option, removed her apron and left, muttering under her breath. Evander held Isabella's hand as she made to follow her, presumably to do unspeakable things to her. He applied a little bit of downward pressure and she sat down, looking annoyed. He held her hand under the table, as the rest continued eating. "Why are you jealous?" He whispered and she eyed him. "Me? Jealous? Hahahaha Hahahaha yes. I mean, how dare she?" Evander fought to hide a giggle as he bit his lower lip. "Why would you be jealous of her?" "Nothing." She replied and removed her hand from his grip. He held it again. "Tell me why." "I told you, its nothing. I'm not even jealous." He nodded. "Should I bring her back then?" "Don’t you dare.!" She said a bit loudly and he giggled. "You are literally jealous of a zombie" He said and she almost puked the little she had managed to eat. "way to go, man." She said as he burst into uncontrollable fits of laughter, earning confused glances from the others. "What's funny?" "The zombie." he said amidst laughter and once they couldn't decipher what he meant, they simply ignored him and continued eating.
