Chapter 21 Rescue

1 month ago. On a full moon night. Right in Selena's room, she was seen busy doing her schoolwork. While she was busy doing her homework, her mother suddenly knocked on her door and then asked her to join in for dinner with her grandmother who happened to come to visit them. Selena quickly went into the dining room, and it was true. There, her grandmother was waiting for her along with a woman who was none other than her aunt Selena. The atmosphere of a joyful dinner together looks so warm. Their togetherness gave a truly extraordinary impression in front of Selena's eyes. Not only that, dinner dishes that usually look unappetizing are now completely different. The endless conversation continued in the room. One time, Selena opened up a topic of conversation that she thought was very interesting. As soon as Selena said what attracted her, the excitement that had previously occurred slowly began to fade. Her grandmother who suddenly fell silent and changed the subject made Selena feel devastated. In an instant, the atmosphere became gloomy. Seeing what was happening there, Selena immediately left the dining room while running towards her room which was not far from there. Her heavy breaths began to gnaw at her throat. Arriving in the room, Selena immediately closed the door to her room and sat right behind the door in silence.
"Why? Like this?" mumbled Selena.
Meanwhile in the dining room, the instantaneous silence began to melt away as soon as her aunt Selena cracked a joke that made her grandmother laugh. The gaze of Selena's mother who couldn't get away from what was in front of her immediately began to say something to the two of them.
"I guess it was my fault. Sorry I didn't tell him more and let him know what he shouldn't have."
"You feel guilty?"
"Yes, I think so."
"Yes you're right. You shouldn't let him explore what he doesn't deserve."
“Isn't that fine? it's not a sin after all?" her aunt Selena said calmly to the two of them.
"You!"
"Oh, sorry ma'am."
Beautiful full moon night. That's the picture that comes to people's minds when it happens. However, behind the truly extraordinary beauty it turned out to hint at an unpredictable destiny. The bustling atmosphere that happened at the Selena family's house is now over once they decide to go home. Selena's mother, who was still ringing with what her mother had said, kept her thinking until she finally drank a glass of wine that was on her table. The clock shows 10 o'clock at night. Selena who was still sitting while still thinking about what had been said before still felt a sense of guilt mixed with a big question mark in her mind. A moment later, Selena got up from there and opened her bedroom drawer and found something. A book that had been hidden by her previously was found under the table in the unused room. Slowly, Selena opened the pages of the book and apparently found something that could cure her curiosity. A story that explains how a group lives in the shadows. The most interesting part is when everyone is aware of something and that is what happens.
"It's not bad. How could that be?" Selena muttered as she continued reading the story before finally falling asleep.
At this time, the hall that was in the middle of the gathering of people saw a lot of strange items that bothered the eye. Joe and Arnette were so shocked by what they saw that they both screamed while feeling tears in their hearts. Meanwhile, Selena who was currently being carried by the people seemed to be smiling at the two of them as if it was the last goodbye. Without thinking, Arnette immediately ran towards her crying and was then dragged by several people from the gathering to where Joe was. At the same time, Marchell and his two friends were running while continuing to look for Selena's whereabouts until they arrived at a place that was none other than the gathering place of these people. Right in front of their eyes they saw a building that also contained a fairly large tent. Ethan was constantly on guard while continuing to pay attention to the direction of the place.
“Wow, this is amazing,” Aaron muttered.
“We have to go there. I'm sure they're there,” Marchell said confidently.
"Wait a minute. we can not carelessly enter that place. what if they find us and kill us?” Ethan said to Marchell while looking at him sternly.
"Come on, don't say such scary words."
"How can you be sure they're there?"
"I just think the worst case is that they get caught."
"Wow, this is outrageous."
"What's outrageous? Shall we just stay here?”
"Not. Wait a moment. We should at least think of a way to escape if we get caught.”
"That is true. You're smart Ethan," Aaron said.
Arnette who was previously dragged by people in strange clothes was then taken to a place that looked like a prison. There, Arnette was locked behind very dark iron bars. Cries for help continued to echo but nothing could get her out of there. The people who had previously brought her there, had now returned to the hall where the ritual was being carried out. Selena who was there, looked scared while unable to say a word. The people seemed to want to chop her up there. Joe, who was still around the hall, seemed to notice some of the people guarding him and not long after that the people were tricked and made Joe manage to escape. This time Joe seemed confused about what to do first.
"Unlucky. What should I do? Save Selena or Arnette? Gosh, this just gives me a headache.”
Selena who was in the middle of the hall. And seeing those people reading weird words just made me sicker. The look in her eyes that did not feel afraid at all made the people even more told her to kneel down. The strange ritual went on for a long time and when one of them started calling for the leader, the person came in front of Selena carrying a sharp object and really surprised Selena. Their faces were not visible because they wore strange masks like animals but were not animals and also wore blood-red robes. Joe was watching them from afar, and thought to save Selena when there was a gap.
"What the hell are they? Why is it so annoying," Joe muttered
Arnette who is now in the dungeon looks very suffering. Her crying never stopped and kept saying she wanted to go home.
