Chapter 20 Epilogue - Between Heaven and Hell

The borderland between the living realm and dead realm was just an empty space. This was a place where spirits were allowed to pass through freely. Too freely that sometimes the spirit fell and got lost on the borderland between heaven and hell. The borderland between heaven and hell was covered by the dark forest, extending from the borders of high heaven to the edge of the deep hell’s valley.
Heaven and hell were angels’ residence while the dark forest in borderland were for outcasts. A certain angel could be exiled from a deep Hell and a certain angel could be exiled from high heaven.
For worse and much more serious crimes, they would be banished down to the living realm where more punishments were waiting. For what reason? No one will find out.
Every angel was born with a pair of wings on their back. Every angel has a different style and shape of wings, but the color of the wings would determine who they are and there are only two colors, black and white. Some are born to sweet delight in heaven, some are born to endless nights in hell.
They would be stripped down off their wings and live as an outcast until their crime was forgiven. They may return back but they would never get back their wings. But like their wings, they never come back.
Those angels that were exiled by heaven or hell often joined the opposite side to seek revenge. Only once in a while, the exiled angel chose not to take any side and took refuge in the forest for that forest did not belong to heaven or to hell.
Here is the story about an exiled angel from hell. In order to return to the hell that he was exiled from, he needed to bring those lost spirits that were wandering in the forest to hell. But how can he gather enough lost spirit when his kind personality causes him to continually help and defend the lost spirit and send them back to where they belong even if that means to heaven.
It was not a problem to him since he actually found pleasure in guiding the innocent lost spirit back to heaven. This way he could have reason to go to the edge of the forest and stand so close to heaven's gate.
He liked watching those angels with pure white wings, especially one particular angel. He gazed at the shining angel, staring back at him. He could not stop staring at him, even though he knew he should stop. He never got so close to one of them before. He wanted to, but he would never be welcome there. Why did he even try?
Days will pass with them staring at each other for he cannot go any further than the forest’s edge. Should he lure the heaven angel into the forest? Should he trick him?
He did not have to do anything for the angel walked along a sinister path, rushing towards the deep of the forest on his own will.
The angel was lost. Walking through the silent forest, silvery flakes drift down, glittering in the bright light of the harvest moon. The crunching of sound beneath his feet was the only sound. The silence of the dusk fallen woods encloses him with a comforting embrace. The forest was dressed in its finest, as if waiting for an honoured guest. The world was bathed in the blue haze of last light, the only shimmer coming from the moon.
Was it always night time in hell? The angel wondered as he strolled along the dark forest, not knowing where he was heading or what awaited him. The exiled angel silently watched him with what appeared to be amused interest.
Just when the angel got too far, the exiled angel decided to show himself and prevented the angel from going closer to hell. They met for the first time so close and thus they happened to fall. Yes, they fell in love.
A strong, kind, nice and caring exiled angel fell in love with a beautiful, kind angel. They said a love between an angel from hell and an angel from heaven are forbidden but what if the only way for one of them to survive was to be with each other forever. Will it be an exception for an exiled angel?
An angel from heaven and an exiled angel, fighting for their love. For this they were banished from the realm of the angel into the realm of the living with more punishment waiting for them for eternity.

Thank you for reading and supporting my story. I hope you enjoy it.
Should I write the story of them before they were banished? Let me know.
