Chapter Thirty Five

"I found Mia and Ian. They've been stuck in a time loop!" Jake exclaimed.
"They've been what?" Drake asked.
"They're stuck in a time loop! They're in between the past and present. It looks as if they're Frozen in space," Jake said.
"Why didn't you bring them here?" Drake asked.
"I... I wanted to inform you first." Jake stuttered.
"Now, you have. Go and bring them!" Drake ordered.
"Okay." Jake bowed and disappeared.
***
"Cassandra, you haven't told us what is wrong with you." Mr Miller folded his arms.
Cassie turned back and looked at Kash. She faced the Math teacher and shook her head.
"Nothing is wrong,"
"But, you looked shocked," Mr. Miller said.
"Oh... Yeah! I remembered that I didn't come to school with my lunch." Cassie lied.
"So, you were thinking about food in the middle of the class?" Mr. Miller asked and Cassie smiled nervously. He facepalmed and turned to continue what he was writing.
"I've always known that she was weird." A girl said and returned her gaze to her notebook.
Cassie rolled her eyes and continued writing.
"I think he was here for Cassie." Diego whispered to Kash who was deep in thought.
Kash nodded, still thinking about why Drake had come to look at Cassie. Now, he was more determined to protect her at all cost.
After Mr. Miller left the class, it was lunch break. Crystal stood up and faced Cassie, "Do you wanna have lunch with me?" She asked.
Cassie's mind drifted back to the poison incident. She shook her head and faked a smile. "Not really. I'm waiting for Kash. Go on without me," Cassie said.
"Okay, if you say so." Crystal sighed and left the class.
A cute guy approached Cassie and sat down beside her. "Hi, I'm Jaden." He waved, smiling charmingly at her.
Cassie looked at him from head to toes. He was cute with pink plump lips and brownish gold colored hair. She observed him for a while and didn't notice any bad energy from him.
"Hey, Jaden. Nice to meet you." She smiled.
Kash watched them but relaxed when he didn't notice any bad energy from him.
"He's cute," Diego said. Kash turned to face Diego with a glare. Diego chuckled and said, "But, you're cuter."
Kash returned his attention to them, wondering what they were talking about.
"You said that you forgot your lunch at home. Do you wanna have lunch with me? Bills on me." He smiled cutely, which angered Kash.
"Um, I was planning on having lunch with my friend," Cassie said.
"Don't worry. She can join us," Jaden said.
"It's a he." Cassie laughed.
"Oh... He can join us too. I have no problem with that." Jaden smiled.
"Why are you treating me to lunch anyway? We haven't talked since I came to this class." Cassie said.
"I didn't know how to approach and talk to you. You seemed unapproachable," Jaden said and rubbed the back of his neck.
"You were scared?" Cassie asked.
"I was nervous." He answered and she laughed.
Kash's grip on his pen tightened to the extent that the pen started cracking. "Calm down, big guy. Stop being jealous!" Diego snapped.
Kash scoffed and looked away. "I am not jealous!" He snapped back.
"I can see that." Diego rolled his eyes.
"Come on, Kash. Let's go have lunch. Jaden is treating us today." Cassie smiled as she stood up.
"Huh?" Kash was surprised.
"I'm coming as well," Diego said.
"Really?" Cassie exclaimed.
"Yeah." Diego answered.
"Okay then. Let's go," Cassie said as they headed to the cafeteria.
***
They sat down and their lunch was served. After they started eating, Jaden decided to strike up a conversation.
"So, Cass, how do you see the school?"
Kash almost choked on his food.
"Cass?" He asked Jaden.
"Yeah. I think calling her Cass instead of Cassie would be better." Jaden smiled.
Kash looked at Cassie and she smiled. Diego just watched the drama while enjoying his lunch.
"The school is great so far. Even though people refer to me as weird." Cassie answered.
"You aren't weird at all. To me, you're like the most beautiful girl I've ever seen," Jaden said and Kash choked again.
"Sorry. Take some water," Cassie patted his back and gave him water. "You're choking a lot today. Is the food that delicious?" Cassie asked.
Kash shook his head. "It's not like that. Thanks for the water," He said and she smiled.
"So, like I was saying, I don't think of you as weird at all."
"Thanks, Jaden." Cassie smiled and Kash scoffed silently.
Zeeva wheeled Lily over to where they were.
"Jaden, what are you doing here?" Lily asked.
"I don't understand your question, Lily." Jaden answered.
"You're asking what he is doing in school?" Stella asked.
"That isn't what I meant. I mean, what is he doing with Cassie?" Lily asked.
"I don't think that's any of your business. You aren't my girlfriend," Jaden said and Stella laughed.
"Let's just leave," Zeeva suggested.
"No," Lily answered. "Jaden, I'm saying this for your own good. Your father is rich and one of the most influential men here in America. This girl carries bad luck everywhere. Do you wanna end up like me?" Lily asked.
Cassie was about to answer but Kash stopped her.
"No one would wanna end up like you. Do you know why? Because you're bad luck itself." Kash answered.
"Good one, Kash." Stella praised him.
"Stella, whose side are you on? Me or Kash?" Lily asked.
"Kash." Stella answered immediately.
"You're cràzy!" Lily snapped.
"You've started with your loosed tongue again. I wonder why it's only your body that got paralyzed. Your mouth should have been the first, ugh!" Stella snapped and walked away.
Lily gasped and Cassie stuck her tongue out for her.
"Zeeva, take me away from here." She ordered.
Zeeva sighed and wheeled Lily away.
"I don't know why she won't stop looking for trouble," Cassie said.
Kash was about to talk but Jaden bèat him to it.
"Ignore her. Here, have some chicken feet." Jaden smiled and dished them for Cassie.
Cassie smiled. "Thanks. You shouldn't have," She said.
"Oh, come on. You deserve this and more." Jaden said.
"Okay, thanks." Cassie smiled.
Kash used his hand to fan himself. Jaden turned and his eyes met with that of Kash. If eyes were bullets, then Jaden would have died from Kash's glare. Jaden looked away immediately and focused on his food while Diego laughed silently.

Jake appeared to Drake with Mia and Ian.
"Are we alive?" Ian asked.
"No, you're dead and are here for judgment." Drake thundered, making them jump.
"Master Drake!" They exclaimed and fell on their faces.
"We are very sorry, please don't kill us." They pleaded.
"I gave you a simple task. Bring princess Cassandra to me, but what did you do? You screwed it all up!" Drake snapped.
"Have mercy, Master Drake. We promise to do better." Mia said.
"You know how much I detest failure, yet you're trying to push me to the wall."
"We're sorry," Ian said.
Drake sighed and paced around the room. He sat down on his throne. "Rise," He said.
Mia and Ian stood up immediately and bowed. "Thank you!" They said.
"We wil do better this time around." Mia bowed.
"I am going to handle things by myself this time around. I'll call for you whenever I need your services. Just keep an eye on that wimpy guardian for now." Drake ordered.
"But, Master Drake, are you sure you will be able to handle it? It's been a long time since you visited earth. It will make you weak," Mia said.
"Which is why I have a plan. I am going to enter Diego's body." Drake smirked.
"Diego? That weird guy in class?" Mia asked.
"Yeah. He is the last of his kind. His body would be a great place for me to abide in, and his powers together with mine will make me unstoppable." Drake smirked.
"That sounds like a brilliant plan," Ian said.
"It is a brilliant plan!" Drake snapped.
Ian flinched. "Yes, Master Drake."
"Unfortunately, the kid doesn't want me to use his body and is trying to run away from me." Drake chuckled.
"We can help you get him. All he needs is a distraction," Mia said.
"Good! Do not fail me this time," Drake said.
"We won't, Master Drake." Mia and Ian bowed then disappeared.
***
"What a flirt! Hmph!" Kash huffed as he watched Jaden smiling dreamily at Cassie.
"You have to calm down, okay? He is just being friendly," Diego said.
"Friendly my foot!" Kash said.
"You look like a baby when you're jealous." Diego teased.
"I am not jealous, okay? I'm just not okay with her smiling at him and him smiling at her like that." Kash defended.
"Yeah, that's what we call jealousy." Diego chuckled.
Kash faced Diego. "I'll be glad if you go back to being the Diego who doesn't talk alot for now," Kash said and Diego laughed.
"Okay, jealous bones." Diego teased.
Kash frowned and his frown deepened whenever Jaden complimented Cassie and she smiled.
"Can I have your number?" Jaden asked.
Kash's eyes widened. Cassie was about to answer when they heard the sound of something breaking. They turned and saw that Kash had broken the spoon he was using to eat. Diego burst into laughter when he saw Kash's reaction.
