Chapter Thirty Eight
Mia and Ian let go of Diego immediately Drake possessed him.
"Master Drake? Are you there?" Mia asked.
Diego's eyes snapped opened.
"I feel so powerful! His powers combined with mine will make me invincible!" He laughed. "Do not call me Master Drake, I am now Diego."
"You look more handsome. I have to admit, Diego is quite a good looking guy," Mia said.
"Don't tell me you're falling in love with that weirdo." Ian rolled his eyes.
"That weirdo is your master now and you have to do whatever he says," Mia said.
Ian frowned at her words as he looked at Drake who was now Diego.
"What about Kash? Won't he notice that Diego is possessed?" Ian asked.
"Don't you know who Diego is? Why do you think I decided to possess him when there are other supernaturals?" Drake asked.
Mia and Ian shrugged.
"Because he is a weirdo?" Ian asked and Mia hit him.
"Because he is a shapeshifter with the powers of a chameleon. He can blend in with his environment excellently. Haven't you heard of camouflage?" Drake asked.
"Oh, now I get it. Since he can camouflage, Kash won't be able to detect that he isn't the real Diego." Mia said.
"Exactly!" Drake chuckled.
"That's a pretty amazing power he's got there," Ian said.
"Yeah. He can also become invisible and has the upper hand in any battle. He is just what I need to deal with Kash." Drake said.
"Awesome!" Mia exclaimed.
"Now, let's get out of here. His apartment is suffocating," Drake said.
"I think you're supposed to live here since you are Diego now. You need to get acquainted with whatever he does." Mia commented.
"She is right," Ian said.
Drake scoffed before sitting down on the small chair in the room.

OREKLION: THE WATER KINGDOM
Princess Sapphire laughed. It was obvious that she had read something funny from the novel she buried herself in all day.
"Seriously? She should confess that she loves him already, instead of acting sassy and jealous," She said and laughed out loud again.
"Sapphire!"
She rolled her eyes immediately she heard her name. She knew who it was. Her sassy and arrogant Senior brother. When he pushed open the door, she dropped the book and stood up. Her silver hair fell majestically on her waist while her blue gown stopped below her knees. She had the perfect curves and was a beauty to behold.
"How may I help you, brother?" She asked with a mischievous smirk on her lips.
"Where is the golden cup I normally use to drink wine?" Prince Roland asked.
"If I am not mistaken, there are a lot of golden cups in this palace. Which one are you talking about, exactly?" She asked with her hands on her waist.
"You know the one I'm talking about. The maids said you were the one that used it." Roland said.
"There are other golden cups that you can use. I am not done with that one yet," She said and sat down.
"That's my favorite. Hand it over," He said.
"No." She answered and picked up the novel.
"Don't make me use my powers on you." He glared at her.
"Don't you have someone to guard? You know, since I have no one yet," She said and he sighed.
"Must you make a fuss about it?" Roland asked her.
"Just reminding you to rub it in my face today. After all, it is only Kash that can put you in your place," She said and flipped a page on the novel.
Roland huffed and stormed out of the room. Sapphire sighed and dropped the book.
"Well, he succeeded in spoiling my mood today!"" She sighed.
"Are you okay, princess?" Layla, her personal maid asked.
Sapphire turned. "Layla, when am I going to become someone's guardian?" She asked.
"I don't know but I think it depends on the person." Layla answered.
"Kash is my baby brother and he got someone before me. Is it that I am not good enough?" She asked.
"Don't say that, princess. You are the most envied around the whole supernatural realm,"
"No, Layla. Princess Cassandra is the most envied and that is why I wanted to be her guardian but Kash got her instead. He is so lucky! He is the only male guardian who had the opportunity to guard a female supernatural and a heiress for that matter," She said and Layla smiled. "When am I supposed to go to earth?" She asked.
"When the ocean stirs." Layla answered.
"That isn't going to be soon. I really want to see Princess Cassandra in person. She must be very beautiful," Sapphire said.
"You're beautiful too." Layla complimented and Sapphire smiled.
"I wish Kash would visit soon. I miss him," She said and Layla chuckled.
"Why are you chuckling?" Sapphire asked.
"You say you miss him but never proves it when he is around," Layla said.
Sapphire chuckled. "He is very stubborn and sharp tongued, that's why." She smiled.

THE NEXT DAY
Cassie woke up earlier than usual and sprung up from the bed. She quickly showered and put on casual clothes. She stared at herself in the mirror and shook her head.
"This won't do. I need to look extra beautiful today. If I look charming, Kash might forgive me," She smiled proudly.
She flipped through her wardrobe and took a short pink gown. When she wore it, it didn't reach her knees. She looked at the mirror and smiled.
"This should definitely blow his mind," She said. She sat on a stool and brought out her make up kit. "Today, I'm going to wear makeup," She applied powder on her face and put on red lipstick. She let her hair down in waves and pushed a bit back with the help of hair pins. She brought out her pink sneakers and put them on, then checked herself out in the mirror again.
"Perfect!"
Satisfied with her look, she picked up her back and headed for the sitting room.
"Aunt, I'm leaving!" She said.
Aunt Maggie alighted the stairs and her mouth dropped open.
"Is there a big event happening in school today?" She asked.
"No, Aunt. Why did you ask?"
"First, you're going to school earlier than usual and second, you dressed hot. Are you going on a date today?"
"No, Aunt. I just wanted to look beautiful today." Cassie answered.
"Is it for someone or..." Aunt Maggie said and Cassie coughed.
"No, it's for no one." She said and was about to leave.
"Aren't you going to eat?"
"No, Aunt. I'm fine! Bye, Love you." She pecked Aunt Maggie's cheek and hurried out.
"Wait! Aren't you gonna wait for Kash?" Aunt Maggie asked but Cassie was already gone.
Aunt Maggie sighed and touched her cheek and looked at her hand. "Lipstick?" She asked and chuckled.

Kash just finished taking his bath. He had watched her all night and left immediately she woke up. He wiped his body dry with a towel and went to his wardrobe.
After arriving earth, he did some research about how humans live, what they do and the kind of places they lived. He bought an apartment not far from where Cassie lived so as to blend in but he preferred living in the water.
Aunt Maggie already knew where he lived but Cassie doesn't know yet.
He glanced through his clothes and settled on black jean trousers and a white top with black jacket. His hair was still a bit wet so, he left it the way it was. He wore his canvas and took his backpack. He was about to turn the doorknob and open the door when he felt something.
He stopped and used his eyes to scan the room. In a swift moment, he saw someone coming to attack him but he was fast enough to block it.
"You fail everytime, Neil." Kash smirked.
"That's because I am no where near your perfection," Neil said and became visible.
"What are you doing here?" Kash asked.
"Seriously?" Neil rolled his eyes. "I thought spending some time on Earth will make you change from your cocky attitude but I was wrong. Is that how you welcome your best buddy?" Neil asked. He was pissed.
"What? Were you expecting a hug?" Kash asked and Neil nodded. "Not gonna happen. You have to return to Oreklion. You aren't supposed to be here," Kash said.
"I only came to spend a day with you. Is that too much to ask?" Neil frowned.
"I have someone to guard. I need to take her to school," Kash said.
"I want to see her too. I'm sure she would be very beautiful," Neil said and Kash poked his forehead. He knew that Neil was a flirt. "What? Do you like her?" He asked.
"Why would you ask me that?" Kash looked away.
"Why not?" Neil chuckled.
"Let's just go," Kash said.
"Yay! I'm following you." Neil smiled.
Kash sighed and opened the door. He and Neil had been friends from childhood. Neil's father was his father's best friend and royal adviser. Kash and Neil were more like brothers since Kash relationship with his brothers wasn't that good.
Kash got to the house and saw that Cassie had left.
"Ooh, she left without you? She must be a stubborn one," Neil said.
"She isn't stubborn!" Kash snapped.
"I see." Neil chuckled.

Kash appeared in the school thinking that Cassie was around but he didn't see her. Neil trailed behind Kash but the human students couldn't see him. Only the supernaturals could.
"This school has beautiful ladies." He commented.
"Shut your flirty mouth!" Kash snapped at him.
Kash couldn't see her and decided to check the hall way. He halted when he saw someone coming through the school door. His jaw dropped when he saw her. Students started murmuring and taking pictures.
"Looks like an angel just dropped from the sky."
"She looks hot!"
"I didn't know the new girl could be this beautiful."
"Does she have a boyfriend?"
"She is so sexy!"
"Look at that gorgeous dress!"
Kash didn't like their flirty compliments.
"Is she the one?" Neil asked.
"Yes." Kash sighed.
"She's got good shape. She is so cute! Does she have a boyfriend?" Neil asked.
Kash didn't answer but walked towards her.
"Hey Kash." She smiled when he got to her but he said nothing.
Instead he removed his jacket and wrapped it around her waist, making it fall on her knees which shocked everyone then he whispered into her ears,
"Do not dress like this to school again. It is making guys lose their minds,"Download Novelah App
