Chapter Forty Three

"Victory is all mine!" Diego exclaimed. "Maybe, possessing this Diego guy isn't such a bad idea." He smiled, still looking at the paper.
"When are you going to visit the library?" Ian asked.
"After I imitates Kash behavior thoroughly then I'll go. Because, I am quite sure that the library keeper must have known him." Diego shrugged.
"Oh, okay." Mia nodded.
"You too can appear in school now. I'd like to see the shock on Kash's face when he sees that you are freed from his time loop." Diego laughed.
"With pleasure!" They smiled and disappeared.
"This is what I'm talking about. This little Diego has no idea of the immerse power he possesses. So naive!" He exclaimed and laid on the bed.
Meanwhile...
In what seemed like another universe where everything was blank and white, Diego walked around, looking for a way to escape the place he was trapped but couldn't. He wanted so much to take his body back but as a result of his weakness, he still can't.
Now, he had no idea what was going on. He didn't know whether this demon that had possessed him is hurting the people he cared about.
"I'm so stupid! Why can't I fight for myself?" He hit his forehead and plopped to the ground. He had thought things like this won't happen again. More of the reasons why he turned to an introvert because he had been living a life of guilt and shame for what he did. That was why he hated when people possessed him. The aftermath isn't always nice. He didn't want to live his life in another guilt so he was going to fight his way out of here.

KASH'S APARTMENT
He opened his door and sighed as he entered but something seemed off. He turned on the lights but what greeted him was the aroma of fried sea fish and potatoes. He could swear he locked the door before stepping out that morning. Why is there someone in the kitchen?
He dropped his backpack on the couch and took slow and steady steps to the kitchen. He wanted to open the door but it was locked. He could have disappeared and appeared in there but he wasn't sure if it was a human there or a supernatural.
"Who would pull a stunt like this?" He whispered to himself and then he got it. "I'll teach him a lesson later." He chuckled and cleft for his room. He showered and started putting on casual clothes.
Neil finally opened the kitchen door but he peeped first before opening it fully. Who knows, Kash might be there to spank his head. When he didn't see Kash, he took the food and set it on the table in the living room then switched on the television.
Kash was cleaning hair with a towel as he walked towards the living room. He saw Neil on the couch enjoying the movie and eating chips.
"What are you doing here?" Kash asked, sitting on the couch.
"Can't you see? I came to make you lunch." Neil answered with an eyeroll.
"As my wife or girlfriend?" Kash glared at him.
"As your best friend but if you want me to be your wife and girlfriend, I can." Neil gave Kash a seductive smile.
Kash gasped. "Stop being naughty!"
"Stop being a tsundere!" Neil snapped. "I know that you're happy to see me but you're so good at hiding your feelings that I'm confused right now. I made your favourite, can't you at least tell me thank you?" Neil pouted but Kash only smirked. "You see what I'm talking about? You're only nice to that Cassie girl. You only act nice around her but you can't even tell me you love me."
Kash laughed. "Are you jealous of Cassie now?" He asked.
"Of course I'm jealous. Who knows how many times you've told her that you love her but just once, you can't even tell me anything." Neil lamented.
"Don't get your hopes up, brother." Kash smiled and wanted to touch the food but Neil slapped his hands away.
"You're not touching this food till you tell me you love me." Neil said with narrowed eyes.
"Dude! You're not a woman." Kash facepalmed.
"Then, I'll take my meal and leave," Neil said. The doorbell rang just then and the two guys exchanged glances.
"Did you invite someone over?" Kash asked.
"Nope!" Neil shrugged.
Kash went to the door and peeped through the hope but saw no one. He opened the door and looked outside, still he saw no one.
"Ta-da!" Cassie appeared in the room and Kash gasped.
"Cassie!" He exclaimed.
"What? Are you surprised to see me here? You don't want me to know where you stay, right?" She asked.
Kash closed the door. "No, it's not like that."
"Don't try to explain. I tricked Aunt Maggie into telling me where you live and vóila, I'm here," She smiled, looking around. "You have a very nice place. Wow! What's that elegant aroma?" She asked.
"Princess!" Neil beamed at her and forgot about the meal he tried to go with.
"Hi, Neil. Did you make these?" She also, staring at the delicacies on the table and sat down.
Kash came to join them and sat beside Cassie.
"Of course! I tried to surprise Kash with a meal but he didn't appreciate it." Neil pouted.
"Don't start." Kash sighed.
"Don't mind Kash. It looks delicious! Can I have some?" Cassie asked.
"Of course you can. At least, you aren't cocky." Neil eyed Kash.
Cassie served herself some of the food and started eating. Kash was about to touch the food but Neil yanked his hands off.
"Forget this food if you aren't going to say what I want to hear." Neil frowned.
Kash looked at Cassie then back at Neil.
He sighed. "Fine! I love you. Thanks for the food." Kash said between gritted teeth.
"Oh my heart! I just fell in love. Say it again." Neil smiled and Cassie laughed.
Kash rolled his eyes and grabbed the food from Neil.
Neil laughed and turned to face Cassie. "So princess, what brings you here?" He asked.
"Well, I came to see Kash. I was really bored at home and Aunt Maggie was returning to the office, so I had to use that opportunity to come see him." Cassie answered.
"You don't have any female friends?" He asked.
"Why are you asking?" Kash looked at him.
"I wasn't talking to you, mister. Mind your food and allow me talk to the most famous princess in the whole realm." Neil said.
"Famous?" Cassie asked.
"Didn't you tell her?" Neil turned to Kash. "You aren't a good guardian. Why didn't you tell her that everyone in OREKLION is dying to meet her?" Neil asked but Kash simply rolled his eyes.
"Wow! I would love to visit OREKLION some day." She smiled.
Kash almost choked on his food. "Visit?" He asked and she nodded.
"That'd be great! I'm sure the people would love to see you!" Neil exclaimed and Kash smacked him on his forehead.
"You know that she can't visit Orekilion till she has visited Athens. Besides, her presence should not be felt in the supernatural realm yet." Kash explained.
"Oh." Cassie bent her head.
"But I'll take you to Orekilion soon." Kash assured her and she smiled.
Neil just smiled at them and started eating. He thought they looked good together but the problem is if Kash father will agree.
Kash looked at Cassie and saw a stain on the side of her lips.
"Cassie, there is a..." He trailed off, pointing at the side of his lips, hoping that she would get what he is trying to say.
"What?" Cassie asked, looking at him.
Kash picked up a napkin and leaned closer to wipe the stain. Neil smirked as a mischievous idea pooped up in his mind. He used his powers to make Kash's hand slip and almost made him kiss Cassie. Kash, who was very calculative and smart had thought about what his friend would do.
He glared at Neil but Neil winked at him.
"You cook so well!" Cassie complimented and Kash scoffed.
"I cook way better than him." Kash said.
"Are you sure?" Cassie asked.
"Don't you believe me?" Kash asked her.
"It's not like I don't believe you. I'm just feeling like, nothing can beat this taste." Cassie smiled.
"Thanks Princess." Neil smiled, looking at Kash who only scoffed.
"I'll judge when I test your food the next time I visit, Kash." Cassie smiled.
"Next time?" Kash asked.
"Why do I feel like you don't want me here?" Cassie glared at Kash.
"No. You're free to come here." Kash rubbed the back of his head.
"You can visit me too." Neil said and Kash smacked his head again.
Cassie laughed but she loved how they acted like brothers.

Asher couldn't sleep. His mind was occupied with his father's words. He stood up and paced around his room.
"Is Cassie really going to fall for Kash?" He wondered.
He thought about the times that Cassie and Kash spent together. He realized that he hadn't spent much time with Cassie and that would have given Kash an upper hand. He wasn't going to let this happen! He would accept his father's advice.
He was going to be selfish... just this once!
