" Jeff, if you want to tell me anything just do" she said like she wanted to cry. His voice is vague to her and he seem slightly angry with her. What was bothering her is that she didn't know the reason for the sudden anger. Jeff sighed helplessly. "Thought you were super smart" he said. Kim felt wronged with his word and she frowned. He moved closer to her and patted her hair. "Ain't you a family baby? This meeting includes all" He whispered to her ears. " Oh" she said softly. She then smiled at how he easily got angry because she unknowingly exempt herself from the family. "I didn't mean what you think. I thought it was an emergency for ..... You know..." She couldn't finish her words because she didn't know what she would say again. She became speechless. "Let's move baby". Walter stood up immediately he saw Jeff come out. He was seated in the secretary's office with a newspaper. "Going somewhere sir?" He asked politely. Jeff nodded and left without saying a word. "We'll be back" Kim told Barb. "Yes ma'am" she said with a bow. She also stood up when Jeff came out. When they got down to the garage, Walter already called a driver to prepare the car so he was standing right beside the car. He bowed when he saw them and opened the door. "Sir do you want me to follow in another car or ride with you?" Walter asked. " Just ride with us. What's the point coming behind when we are going to same destination" Kim was the one who replied. She didn't know if Jeff will approve what she just said and she thought that she has spoken too fast. She didn't even dare to look at his face. She just scolded herself for been a talkative. Jeff looked at her and snorted. Walter on the other hand didn't do anything. He was waiting for Jeff's approval. "Why are you still there? She already told you what to do" he said to him firmly. Walter bowed. He wouldn't dare enter while his boss is still standing. Kim was happy that he listened to her and didn't scold her for being a blabber mouth. "You". Jeff said softly gesturing Kim to enter the car which she was about to do when she heard someone shouting Jeff's name. "Jay! Jay! Jay!" The voice shouted. Kim didn't need to look at the person to know who it was. How could she forget the most annoying voice she ever heard. The person is the only one who dares to call him like that. She paused moving closer to Jeff. If Kim hadn't stopped, Jeff wouldn't have. He wouldn't want to force her to go into the car especially now that she is now skin to skin with him but it didn't stop the scowl he wore. Both Kim and Jeff, none had on a nice look. Kim's own was for two reasons. The first was because of who the person calling is and the second was because of the emergency that they were going to attend to and her call delayed them. She didn't try to hide her unhappiness. She just frowned her face at her. Jeff's was because he was been delayed. "Jay, I've been calling you all the while" she said panting a bit. She didn't even do as if she saw Kim and this made Kim more angry. "What do you want? I'm in a hurry" he said in a very bald voice. This tone made Lucy very dejected. She looked around to see if she was made fun of but it seems no one care even Kim that wore a frown before gave an impassive look. "Hurry? To where?" She asked without thinking. The stern look he gave her made her know she made mistake. Being that she hasn't seen him for a while now, she wasn't so affected by his look. She missed him so much than to care about his look. It's not as if this will be the first time he would do it. It just that things have changed a lot since he got married. Before if she moved close to him, he would just give an indifferent cold look and not shoo her away but now he wouldn't even let her get close. Jeff saw that she wasn't ready to say anything, he then moved to leave. "Ain't you gonna attend the meeting?" She asked quickly when she realised that she's going to lose him. The meeting she was talking about was actually slated for two hour later but she came earlier just to be able to have more time to be with Jeff but seeing that he is heading out she knew her effort of hurrying down is wasted. The worse thing is that if she didn't head back, she would have to sit in a near by restaurant till almost the time or she sits at the company's reception which is the last thing she would ever do.
