The Global Peace Ambassador 7

The country is known for its heterogeneity, and has about twenty ethnic groups, including the Cord-speaking area, which was Jude’s tribe. Bare rocks are scattered across the grasslands, which cover the county. The altitude ranges from around 1,600 meters (5,249.34 feet ft.) to a peak of 1,900 meters (6,233.6 feet ft.) above sea level in the Zing Hills range near Jalin, the country’s largest city. The years of war, bombing, tin and columbite mining have left the area strewn with deep gorges and lakes
He was pleased with his discoveries, and was able to contact someone from the country, who he could identify as a random with his secret account, and began a chat with him.
(Hello, my friend. I am happy that there is peace in your country, and that is why you can chat.)
(Nope. Just suffering and smiling.)
(I’m lost. What do you mean?)
(This may be my last chat because I may be dead the next moment.)
(Seriously?)
(Yep)
(What efforts are you making to stop it?)
(Nothing. I am only a youth. The Head of State would not stop, despite the plea from the masses.)
(What do you think that he is benefiting from the war?)
(The United Nations sends support to the citizens, which he enjoys. If the war ends, the support will stop.)
(I see. What do you want, the war or peace?)
(Peace.)
(But the support from the UN will stop.)
(We are better off.)
(I see. How old are you?)
(17)
(Interesting. What do you do for a living?)
(Waiting for death)
Presently, Denise was emotional, and wished to stop the chat. Then, he rounded up, (I strongly believed that you will not die until I give you a hug someday.)
(Just wishing. Goodbye.) Now, Denise feel his pains, and that spurred him to act fast. In conclusion, he responded, (Goodbye.)
He logged out and looked at the time, and was shocked that it was thirty minutes past his closing hour. He hurriedly gathered his stuff and left.
At Sevenoaks
After Louis left the office without a word that fateful day, Cassandra was as worried as his parents. Her situation was worse because she would not confide in anyone, but die in silence. She was most worried when he did not show up the next day, and to complicate issues, no one had an idea of his whereabouts. Erick was working with him over the net, so he was unfazed. The second day, she reported to work, and met his absence, she stopped pretending, and inquired, “Erick, what about the boss, will he be late to work today?”
“I would not know. Why do you ask?” He responded indifferently.
“Nothing. I would have taken permission from him to be a few hours late tomorrow,” she cooked up, and looked intently at Erick, who responded at once, “I believe that he is not the right person to talk to. You are not working under him again.”
“Oh. I completely forgot. Thank you for reminding me,” she concurred.
Those two weeks were weeks of emotional trauma for her. Although, his presence would not make much difference because he would not even look in her direction, but it was better than his absence. He returned after the award ceremony, physically and emotionally refreshed. Nevertheless, she was inwardly happy to see him, but could not express it. Meanwhile. Erick was openly happy and welcomed him warmly, “It is good to have you back, boss.”
“Thank you. How are you?”
“I’m good, boss. And you?”
“I’m good, too.”
“Good morning, boss,” Cassandra greeted coldly, which Louis found repulsive, and he responded coldly too, “Thank you. You can return to your office today, Cassandra.”
“All right, boss,” she responded, and concealed her disappointment.
Meanwhile, his trip to the United Dunforn Republic was fruitful. Before he left, he was able to contact their Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Mr. Richmond Scott, and they began to talk. Two days after the event, he got a call from him.
“Good day, Mr. Scott. It is good to hear from you,” he greeted joyously.
“I am delighted to speak with you. I hope you had a fair trip back to your country?”
“Certainly. Thank you for asking. Any news for me concerning my proposal?”
“Yes. We had a Supreme Council Meeting yesterday, and tabled your intentions.”
“That is good. What was the conclusion?”
“We are yet to conclude. The council wished to know how many hectares are you willing to buy?”
At that point, Louis was happy with the open check, but to avoid appearing greedy, he threw the question back to him.
“How many hectares can you comfortably give up for sale?”
“As you can see, we need money from all quarters to revamp our collapsed economy.”
“Certainly.”
“We can give up one hundred and seventy million hectares for sale at the moment.”
“That is good. I can buy part of it and get buyers for you if your price is reasonable.”
The excited Minister simply responded, “I will give you feedback tomorrow.”
“It is all right.”
The next day, he got a call from the Minister and they closed the deal. He paid for half of the at once, and promised to get buyers to pay for the rest within thirty days. Which was part of his tactics to acquire the whole land with the little resources he had. When his father saw the report, he was pleased, and he mumbled, “When it comes to business, he would forget that he is a last born and give it all it takes.”
After the part payment, Louis contacted Mr. Salem in Cairo, and they gave the land loud publicity, and other investors picked interest. He sold the land to them, made his profit, and used the income to pay off for the remaining part of the land.
The Dinner
Arthur and Nichole had planned for a dinner for their secret wedding. However, the Patriarch’s proposal would not be proposed. To avoid appearing repulsive before him, he gave him a call to inform him of the venue.
“Hello, Arthur. It is good to hear from you.”
“Good day, our Patriarch. It is my pleasure to hear from you. I wish to inform you that I have come up with a venue for the dinner.”
“That is good. Can I hear the venue that you have in mind?”
“There is no other better place apart from your house. The dinner and venue would serve as a get-together for the Bailey’s family. Or do you have a contrary opinion?”
“Wow! You just opened my eyes to another event,” the Patriarch declared happily.
“What is that, our father?”
“We have not officially welcomed our lost but found kinsman.”
“I see.”
“It is all right. I thank you for coming up with the idea of a family get together.”
“It is all right, our Patriarch. I can recommend a good caterer if you permit me.”
“That is the crux of the matter. I would like to work with your caterer.”
“It is all right.”
