The Global Peace Ambassador 17

Now, his eyes sparkled with excitement. All the while, he thought he was chatting with a fellow teenager. Then, he greeted, “Good day, sir.”
Denise smiled, and remarked, “Save your energy until I give you a hug.”
At that moment, Kenny’s problem was half solved. He felt like getting up to give him a hug at once, and even if he died the next minute, he would die a happy boy.
“Okay sir,” he responded happily, and Denise walked out to meet Dr. Harper and the Head of the Government, who was collating data for his report to the United Nation. Nevertheless, he signaled to Phil and Jude to stop the search, and they did. When he had the opportunity, he informed Dr. Harper of his discovery, and he maintained a straight face to avoid suspicion. After a while, he walked into the ward and attended to three patients before he walked to Kenny, and inquired, “How are you, Kenny?”
“I’m fine, doctor,” he responded.
“Prepare your mind. My boss said you are returning to Kent with us,” the doctor whispered. Although, he was weak, but it took maturity for Kenny to control himself. He nodded, happily, and the doctor examined his broken and swollen leg. He discovered that if nothing would be done fast, the leg would be amputated. Afterward, the doctor returned to the verandah and informed the Head of the Government who was still hanging around, “There is a critical case, and if the Medical Director is here, I would inform him of what to do.” Thereafter, he looked into his eyes, and waited for his response. Now, Dr. Parker was aware that there were no Medical Director and doctors because those who were still alive, had never been paid.
“That is serious. What can we do in the absence of the doctors?”
“Well, I can do the little I can, but if you give the approval, we would take him along with us to Kent,”
Now, the bill that Dr. Parker would give to the UN had increased, and it would be a boost to him that he sent a patient abroad. He looked at Dr. Harper and accepted, “I don’t joke with the health of my citizens. You have my approval.”
“It is all right, Dr. Parker.”
Afterward, Dr. Harper returned to the ward, and dressed Kenny’s wound, and gave him some multivitamin. When he was certain that he would be tolerated by the Heathrow Airport, he turned to the Head of the Government and pointed out. “I have not seen any doctor, and I wish to hand the drugs over to him before we leave.”
“That is very thoughtful of you. They will be here very soon, but you don't need to stress yourself. He would know what to do with the drugs when he arrives.”
“It is all right,” the doctor responded, Dr. Parker gave them a handshake one after the other before they left.
At Dover
After Arthur spoke with Nicholas, he looked at Tim, who was busy with his song, and imagined how he felt.
“If adults are missing, Denise, imagine how a child would feel?” He thought. Then, to cheer him up, he called out, “Tim.”
Nevertheless, he was concentrating on his work, and his father's voice startled him. Then, he looked up, and answered, “Yes, father.”
“What would you love to have for lunch?”
He looked at his father in bewilderment. He could not process the answer to such an open check. Then Arthur hinted, “Never mind, I will take you out for lunch.”
“Thank you, father,” he responded with glee. Nevertheless, he continued with his work. After 10 AM, the anxious Arthur sent a message to his son, and inquired about his trip, and waited patiently for his response. When he saw his post on the family platform, he was excited.
At the Government Hospital
Nichole was busy with her work while Freya and Olivia busied themselves with their phones. Suddenly, Freya's face brightened when her husband's message popped up. Before she could announce that her husband reached out to her, Denise's message popped up on the family platform.
“Angel and mom, they have landed.”
Quickly, Olivia decided to call her husband when she got his message. Presently, the office was lightened up.
“This is good news,” Nichole pointed out. “You are right, mom. I pray that they would come back today,” Freya wished.
“I pray so too,” Olivia concurred.
“Angel, now that you are settled, get ready. We will see a doctor.”
“Okay, mom,” Olivia responded cheerfully. They left for the gynecologist's office, and after the check, they returned to the office. Nevertheless, when it was a few minutes to noon, Olivia got a message from Tim.
(Big cousin, father, is taking me out for lunch.)
(Wow! That's good. Enjoy yourself.) She replied immediately. Then, she broke the news to Freya and her mother-in-law, “Tim is having a good time with father. He promised to take him out for lunch.”
“Wow! That is good. Where is he?” Freya asked.
“Father took him to work.”
“Wow! You would have been better off if you had gone to work him too. Here, you get nothing but strings and drugs,” Freya teased, and winked at her mother. Then, Nichole fought back, “What are you insinuating, Freya? Do you mean that I can't take you out for lunch?”
“Seeing is believing. Let's see if you can,” Freya impelled. Really, she won. Nichole went off her way, and promised, “Both of you should get ready. I'm taking you out for lunch.”
Now, Olivia, who had been laughing her heart out over their jokes, was elated, and she appreciated, “Thank you, Mom.”
“You are welcome, my dear.”
“Let me pick your grandson from school so that I will settle down and enjoy my lunch. Or will you change your mind before I return?” Freya looked into her mother's eyes, and asked mockingly. Then, Nichole pouted, and teased back, “Naughty girl.”
They laughed happily, and Freya picked her purse, and swiftly left the office.
At the Food Planet Restaurant
Against Arthur's plan to take Tim out at noon. He got a call from the Patriarch, who wished to inquire about Denise's trip.
“Good day, Arthur,” the Patriarch greeted joyously.
“Good day, our father. It is good to hear from.”
“Yes. I just got off call with my nephew at Sevenoaks. That was thoughtful of him.”
“I see you. Thank you, once again.”
“It is my pleasure. I learned that they arrived safely.”
“Yes our, father.”
The call lasted for twenty minutes, which delayed their lunch.
“Let's go, Tim,” he announced the moment the call ended. They walked out of the office at once, and walked to the car park. Tim loved it when he was driven by a man. That day was not an exception. They got to the restaurant, and took their seats at a common table. Luckily, Harriet was on her toes to ensure that there was no hitch during the rush hour. Furthermore, she was able to spot Arthur and Tim, and rushed to them.
“Good day, father,” she greeted warmly.
“Good day, my daughter. How are you?”
“I'm fine, father, but this table is not for you. Kindly come to the right table.”
“Wow! That is good,” he agreed, and got up. Tim got up too. She led them to a secluded spot where they could have their privacy.
“Make yourself comfortable, here,” she declared.
“We are grateful. How is your husband, and your parents?”
“They are fine, father. Thank you for your interest.”
“Kindly place your order,” she requested.
They placed their orders, and she left at once. While they were waiting for the food, Arthur engaged Tim in a conversation.
“What assignment did your mom give to you?”
Tim looked up from his phone and responded, “She asked me to write a reconciliatory song about the war in Zingcord.”
“That is good. Have you done that?”
“Yes, father, but I am still on it.”
“It is okay.”
