The Global Peace Ambassador 24

At the Bailey Native Home
Before Arthur arrived at the hospital, Nichole, who was worked-up, had excused herself from work. She was in the vestibule when her husband arrived, and she got into the car. Then, she cast a quiet and searching look at him, and observed that he was troubled. To ease her tension, he cheered her up, “I hope I did not panic you, my queen?”
“What is the matter, hubby?” she asked after he turned on his engine.
“It is nothing to worry too much about,” he encouraged her, but she would not be fooled. Apart from loving Arthur, she was too familiar with his mood, and knew that he was deeply disturbed and depressed, even though he was smiling to cover up.
'What has happened?' She asked herself. Likewise, her mind ran through many things, that could make her husband to forgo his work, and request her to do the same.
'Oh! Louis,' she exclaimed when she thought of him.
'I hope that he is safe?' She asked herself while she allowed her tears to flow freely. Nevertheless, Arthur, who could feel her pains, overlooked her, and concentrated on his driving. Soon, they were at home. She put herself together, and got out of the car. Before, Arthur could do the same, she was already on the verandah, and murmured the response to the greetings of the surprised security and janitor, and hurried to her room.
“Welcome back, boss,” the staff members greeted simultaneously.
“Thank you,” he responded with a forced smile, and joined his wife in the room. To his chagrin, he met her leaning against the wall, and he sensed her perturbation. Likewise, he rested his head on her trapezius muscle, and confessed, “My Nichole, I apologize if I frightened you. I got a disturbing revelation about Relish's daughter from Denise.”
Despite her state of mind, she heard him clearly. She was relieved to hear that the situation had nothing to do with Louis or any other child. Then, her eyes beamed in abashment, and she turned gradually, and looked at her husband with her puffy eyes. They locked eyes in silence for a few seconds before Arthur spoke, “I just realized how much my past actions towards you affected your personality.”
Now, guilt complex overwhelmed him, and Nichole felt sorry for him.
“You were not at fault, my dear” she made clear to save him from shame and anxiety. Then, he moved away from her, and sat on the couch. Likewise, he attempted to pull off his shoes, and to his relief, she squatted on her heels, and assisted. At that point, he rested his head on the headrest of the couch, and let out a rhapsodic sigh of relief.
'Who would have loved me like her?' He thought. Nevertheless, Nichole was euphoric after she learned that her husband was determined to cheer her up. Now, she was through with his shoes, and sat beside him. Then she asked, “What happened? I mean, what triggered your realization?”
He drew her close to him, and gave her a peck on her forehead before he gave an account of Denise's discovery at the station.
“What!” She exclaimed when he mentioned Whitney's name. Her husband paused, and looked at her.
“That is embarrassing to her parents,” she pointed out.
“Evidence of lack of home training,” Arthur blurted in annoyance. Nevertheless, they did not leave work for nothing, but to catch up with the past. Therefore, she leaned on his chest, and pleaded, “Could you put your worries aside, and allow me to celebrate my victory over them?”
Without waiting for his response, she began to undress him.
At the Office Complex.
After Denise left the station, with Jude, they headed to the office. Meanwhile, the hostility from other road users was still visible, and he almost rammed his car into the back of the one in front.
“What is the meaning of this,” he blurted when the car in front of him stopped suddenly.
“You would have been at fault,” Jude remarked.
“You are right. I will deal with them,” Denise declared. He had the intention of picking his grandfather's bucket of bolts when he visited his native home. Soon, they were at the complex.
“Would you love to say hello, to father, before you return to work?” Denise inquired when he halted at the car park.
“I would be delighted to do so,” Jude admitted. They got off the car, and to Denise's surprise, his father's car was not in the garage.
“It's like father is out,” he informed Jude, who was beside him.
“Oh no! I will see him some other time,” he indicated, and moved towards his car while Denise watched him. Thereafter, Jude waved at him. Furthermore, he waved back at him, and returned to the office when drove out of his sight.
“Where has father gone to?” He mumbled while walking to his office. Then, he decided to give him a call after he took his seat.
At the Native Home
It was a pleasurable moment for the couple, and afterward, Arthur let Nichole know how sorry he was by asking for forgiveness.
“My dear. I'm deeply sorry. I wish I can turn the hand of time, and make it up to you,” he apologized with a sombre expression.
“Stop being hard on yourself, Arthur. I'm proud of you for preserving yourself for me,” she expressed joyously. Despite himself, he smiled at her perception of the matter.
“Is that how you view it?” He asked, and pulled her naked body close to his. She bit his exposed nipple, and acknowledged, “Yes, of course. Or how do you explain your amazing stamina in bed.”
Now, Arthur was elated and horny. He wished to live up to her expectations. Likewise, he kissed her intimately, and gave her the best sex.
“Thank you, for preserving your energy for me,” she appreciated with satisfaction.
“Thank you for keeping yourself, and waiting for me. I think this is the time to have our wedding dinner.”
“Wow! I thought we would wait for our one-year anniversary,” she inquired.
“It would not stop that when the time comes. It would put an end to the conception that I don't love you.”
“It is all right, my dear.”.
Afterward, they rested in each other's arms, and suddenly, Arthur's phone rang. Although, he was disturbed, but he would not blame the caller because it was still working hours. Nichole watched him while he picked the phone. Then, he hissed, “Denise, let me be,”, and dropped his phone without answering the call.
“Denise?” Nichole asked in astonishment when he ignored his call. She quickly picked it before the call timed out, and greeted, “Hello, son. How are you?”
“Mom?” Denise called out, and wondered how the father's phone should be with his mother by that time of the day.
“Yes, son. Your father is distraught presently over many things. Could you give him some time, and he would get back to you.”
“Okay, Mom. I wish to let him know the outcome of my visit to the station, and seek his opinion on what to do.”
“It is all right. I will let him know, and he will revert.”
