CHAPTER SEVENTEEN Mira was Found

The squad proceeded to other chambers that had not been searched and carried out a thorough search too. They made sure that no chambers were left unsearched.
Unfortunately, they didn't discover anything after all their search.
They hurriedly made their way to the Empress's abode.
The little light was already dim when they got to her abode.
Her majesty, who was gazing through an empty space, lost in thoughts didn't even know that they were in her before, but not until when they hailed in respect.
"Long live, your majesty!!" they voiced at once.
At the sound of this, she bounced back to reality.
She readjusted herself and then cleared her throat mildly after which she began to address them.
"How did the search go?" She asked curiously.
"We made sure that no chamber in the whole district was left unsearched," replied their head with a face slightly frowned.
"I wonder how those half humans got missing, especially Mira, whom we're so sure that we locked up in prison. Is it a conspiracy or….," He continued amidst anger.
The empress who was disappointed in the news became more disturbed than she was flustered.
She managed to let out a few words to encourage them and then told them to retire to their chamber.
When the light had fully faded, Gilmore and the sister secretly followed Mira back to prison.
They were more careful than they were scared, least, they would be caught and that would be the end of them.
They were lucky to meet the large net that they left behind when they got to the prison top.
They encouraged Mira to get inside the net and when she did, they both helped her into the prison by lowering the large net gently.
When they had done that, they bade themselves 'goodbye' and then they retired to their chamber feeling fulfilled though with fear of what may happen next.
After some time that Gilmore and his sister left for their chamber, Mira started pulling herself out of the large net just so that she could be a bit comfortable at the moment.
It was such a difficult task for her as she had no help but she kept trying her best without giving up.
This continued until she managed to Free herself, at last.
On the other hand, Gilmore and her sister had secretly gotten to their chamber to catch some rest.
"What a job well done!" Exclaimed Bella under her breath.
Then, she let out a smile.
"Indeed, it's a job well done." Responded Gilmore, looking at her. Though he could barely see her face clearly as there was no light.
"I am still wondering what would have happened to us if we were caught in the middle, but all thanks to the Moon goddess which didn't allow such to happen to us" he added, shaking his head in rejection of his statement.
"It's as if everything is ok for now but, who knows how the weather will be in the next few hours from now? Who knows how the Empress might react to the news when we get there to break it to her hearing?" She sounded so worried at this point.
"What you just thought of is so true but Bella…. Just be optimistic concerning everything. Don't be scared because we'll pull through and nothing will happen to us. So, get your mind relaxed and let's watch how it goes in the next few hours from now." He concluded, drawing nearer to his sister.
He held her hands and then helped her to her soft support where she normally laid.
°°°°°°
The light showed up a few hours later and everyone went about their sole activities.
Ma'am Eva had gone to visit her son-in-law just so that she would know how they're fairing as it has been a long time since she last visited them.
Gilmore and his sister were busy at their own corner, getting things ready and as well getting ready to visit the Empress just so that they would relate the news to her.
Sibraa on the other hand had gone to harvest some sea worms in the farm that he would use for breakfast.
As he approached the farm, he developed a strange feeling which portrayed that something was wrong somewhere.
He had a thought of going back to his chamber but on a second thought, he disregarded the strange feeling and continued till he got to where there were plenty of the sea worms.
The sea worms were much this time and looked so fresh and enticing.
"They are so fresh," he muttered, smiling.
Without wasting time, he began to gather them to the basket he came along with.
He continued till he felt a strange tap behind him.
Fear gripped him and his basketful of sea worms dropped from his hands and the worms began to crawl away.
He turned with immediate effect to see who tapped him but there was nobody.
He was so sure that he was not being followed. This made him start shivering.
He kept calm for a while trying to figure out what was happening to him.
Then, he started browsing around the area to see if he was being followed.
At this point, his eyes met Liamb, who was lying in the right corner of the farm. He was covered with sea veggies and slimy liquid.
He went straight to see if he was dreaming or it was real only to see him lying heck dead.
"He has been far dead!" He screamed and then rushed out immediately with fear to the Empress's abode.
"Your majesty! Your majesty!! He screamed.
This caught her attention immediately.
Princess Bellina who heard his screams from her chamber drew closer to her chamber's entrance to listen to their conversations.
"Who is after you at this early hour?" the empress inquired curiously.
"Liamb, Liamb, Li…am…b!! He screamed again, breathing so fast and pointing towards the farm's route.
"What's with Liamb, this time? I had thought the news had something to do with Mira," muttered Princess Bellina in her corner, frowning her face. She then sighed and left for her soft support.
Coincidentally, the same question came from the Empress, too.
"What's with Liamb, this time?"
She paused and waited curiously for a response.
"I saw Liamb when I went to harvest some worms for myself just a while ago. He was lying heck dead at the right corner of the farm." He narrated hurriedly, still breathing fast even as he shivered.
As the Empress was about to say something, Gilmore and his sister rushed in, breathing so fast too.
The Empress held her words back and tried to understand what was going on.
"Why are you two here?" She asked, leaving her seat this time.
"Her majesty!" It's Mira, Gilmore said, allowing tears of joy that he faked to break out of his eyes.
"We have found her!" Him and his sister exclaimed excitedly.
Princess Bellina jumped out from her corner excitedly at the overhearing of this great news and was ready to get out of her chamber.
Empress Lulu at this point was happy hearing this news too and without waiting to hear the rest of the things they had to say, sent for the Squad.
"Squad!!"
She called out in a loud voice.
Immediately, the Squad availed themselves.
She grouped them in two and let out some instructions.
She told the first group to follow Sibraa to the farm and investigate what Sibraa told her. She then sent the second group to go with Gilmore and his sister too.
"Bring Mira alive," she added as the second group were about to leave.
