chapter 14

Chapter 14
Did Brian save you or me?
Seeing that there were more and more people, Charlotte cringed at the thought that Melvin would be hacked on the hot search tomorrow, so she reached out and pulled her: "It's not interesting, let's go."
Mel peered at Christine and snorted, then followed Charlotte out of the exhibition hall.
Gabriella was slapped in the face for the second time tonight, but she couldn't being angry was an understatement: "Mel, do you know how scheming the women around you are and how much money they pay?"
When Mel heard this, she almost went berserk. Charlotte glanced at her and motioned her to stop talking, "You stand here and wait for me."
After speaking, Charlotte turned around and walked back to Gabriella: "A question for you, Miss Morris."
Gabriella looked at Charlotte with contempt: "The skill of changing the subject is really clumsy!"
Charlotte raised her eyebrows, "How is your relationship with your brother?"
Gabriella was stunned for a moment, but Charlotte didn't wait for her to answer, and said unhurriedly: "If you have a good relationship, it's impossible for you not to know that I am divorced from your brother, but I don't want a cent."
She looked at Gabriella, the smile on her face faded, and her peach blossom eyes showed a bit of coldness. Her voice quivered, but everyone around her could hear it clearly.
After speaking, Charlotte turned around and left.
As we all know, although Gabriella and Brian were born to the same parents, when Anita was three years old when Brian was three years old, she divorced Brian's father with a sum of money given to her by the Morris, and later had an extramarital affair with Brian's father. Next, Gabriella and Alicia came into the picture.
Therefore, Brian and Gabriella really have no brother-sister relationship.
Charlotte fluttered a few words, not only righting her name, but also mocking Gabriella.
Mel looked at Charlotte who was approaching, and gave a thumbs up while no one was paying attention.
Mel took her to the open-air area, with no one in sight, and she blew another rainbow fart at her.
Just as she was about to say something, when Elvis called, Mel immediately fainted: "The brand owner is here, I have to go to business, if you feel bored, go back!"
On the contrary, her purpose of bringing Charlotte to face her today has been achieved, so she is naturally reluctant to let the big beauty continue to be lonely and cold here alone.
The sponsor of the brand side is not easy to offend. Although Mel is a little self-willed, she still understands stuff like this.
With a wave of her hand, she carried her skirt and walked back.
Looking at Melvin's back, Charlotte smiled.
There are not many people here, but drinks and snacks are available. Charlotte glanced at the sun loungers by the swimming pool not far away, raised her eyebrows and walked over.
She wore a pair of high heels with straps today, and has been standing for nearly an hour. Her feet are a little tired. No one comes out here, which is just right for her to take a break.
The lights in the floor-to-ceiling windows were red, and Charlotte sat on the sun lounger, staring - blank at the sparkling pool water in front of her.
"Miss Charlotte."
Christine didn't know when she came out. Charlotte looked up at her and stood up from the chair: "Is there something wrong, Miss Donald?"
"Charlotte you're amazing. When I sent you the photo, I thought you wouldn't mind, but I didn't expect you'd make such a big move."
Charlotte raised her eyebrows, "So, Miss Donald, do you want to ask me for a guilt?"
"Of course not."
Christine looked at Charlotte in front of her, remembering what Brian's secretary said that day, how the smile on his face shrunk into a grimace.
"Oh, since it's all right, I'll go first."
She said, smiled at her, raised her legs and walked back to the meeting.
Charlotte lowered her head and glanced at her captured wrist, frowned, and spoke again, her voice subdued: "Is there anything else?"
"How about we make a bet, Charlotte?"
"What are you betting on?"
"I bet, if I fall into the water with you, Brian is either going to save you or me"
Charlotte followed Christine's line of sight, only to find that Brian watched them from beside the floor-to-ceiling window.
"No, Brian and I have already divorced. Miss Christine doesn't need to treat me as an enemy now."
From this angle, Brian's sight didn't notice her expression, Christine's sneered, and tightened the hand that fell on Charlotte's hand, intending to pull Charlotte into the pool: "This is not up to you, Charlotte, I— -what--"
Before Christine could finish speaking, Charlotte kicked her, bubbles of water splashed as she slumped into the pool.
