Chapter 19 Eighteen

Everleigh POV
The class started. Finally, I get to school where I can interact face to face. Homeschooling made so tired mentally. All day you put your eyes on gadgets, and gadgets all day!
I'm really bored at home. But for the safety, father initiated this homeschool. I wasn't approving about it, but eventually, I did it. I thought, I guess I have to try.
Every night I'll sneak around and visit the bar I'm playing DJ. I miss it. The sound and the vibrations of the songs from the speakers that vibrated inside my chest is so making me excited. I always watch the dance battle competition, in which, it was my fault why they had.
I was dancing at the stage with this wild music and a guy approached me—trying to hit me up for the night. But I was drunk and challenge him to do dance battle with me. Crowd step aside and clap their hands with my dance moves. But to my surprise, the guy was also a dancer. I didn't know his name, but we hangout, just chatting about stuffs. He is a good guy after all, just trying to take a move for nothing but talk; I'm his very first victim.
"We're here," Raven smiled, before leaning on me and removed my seatbelt.
I don't know if he is having a hard time unblocking my seatbelt or he is doing it slowly. I could feel his breathe on my cheek.
"I already have my phone," he said. He finished removing my seatbelt. He leaned on my seat and looked me at my eyes. "I already had your number; I'll text you so save mine. Text or call me if you need me, Ms. Scott."
He moved away before getting out of the car. He opened the door for me, and as usual, he put his hand above my head to prevent me from bumping.
When I got out, I arched my eyebrow and looked at him. "Don't order me," I said before putting my sunglasses.
He bit his lower lip before nodding a few times. I rolled my eyes and walk straight ahead, chin up, with confidence and power. We don't have any uniform, we are only ordered to wear casual formal wear.
I don't have a mask on, I don't need to hide. I know Raven got me.
As soon as I reached for the elevator, I entered. I saw Raven leaning on the car and waving at me. I smiled. He can't see me; I'm too far from him. Why is he so cute?
Oh, gosh! Everleigh!
I tried to bit the inside of my cheeks to prevent my lips from curving. The elevator dings and I got out.
I was about to walk on the corridor when a familiar figure caught my attention. He was talking with the other men and women, laughing and smiling, not until he turned his head to my direction. Jackson's smile gradually turns down and was replaced with a sad reflection.
Some other students here pass by me wasn't taking me a look seriously, almost of the students here are highly influencers and elites of the society.
"Hi, Everleigh," a woman said and smiled before passing by. I arched my brow and smile at her.
Jackson bid goodbye to those he was talking to. They looked at me and smiled before they leave.
"Everleigh," Jackson walks nearer to me.
"The couple we missed."
"Let's go, girls, let's give them privacy,"
I sighed.
"H-Hey," Jackson awkwardly raised his hands as a wave. "Um, since we are classmates. I-I can accompany you to our room, is it okay?"
I continued my fierce and intimidating look. "Okay," I walk.
"O-okay..." He started walking beside me.
The fact that I was excited coming to school and Raven's waiting for me down there at the parking lot, was all erased by the presence of this man. I forgot about him being here. And now, I don't know what to do.
"Y-You, didn't change your number, right?" he asked.
"Yeah,"
"Can I still communicate with it with you? I...I mean, as classmates...c-can I?"
Don't Everleigh, don't agree—
"Sure," I answered.
Do I still love him?! No, I'm sure no, but perhaps...like?
It is so complicated. A one year cannot erase our happy memories together for five years. He's been always by my side. He is my friends, my boyfriend, my brother, always giving advice of what to do. I learned a lot from him. I realized so many things from him. His intellect made me fall for him harder.
"Here's…our...um... room. A section,"
I looked inside. There more than 15 students here. When they noticed my presence, they smiled at me before getting back to their own businesses. There are two vacant seats; at the middle row.
"Looks like we will seat there, is it okay with you?"
He is always like even before. Always asking me and setting aside what he wants for himself. He always gives me what I want. He spoiled me.
I looked at my wrist watched. "It's too early. I should go to the library. You go first,"
"Can I come with you?"
I looked at his eye, but quickly I withdrawn. "Suit yourself."
There tons of students who are still roaming around. Campus is quiet thought students here are thousands—disciplined young daughters and sons from elite families. It is easy for me to walk here since I'm no far away from what they're in social class.
We reached the library. It was made of tinted glasses.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I looked at Jackson who is smiling widely while examining the outside of the library.
Books are his companions. He loves reading.
I secretly smirked. Might as well pull a bit of prank.
I rolled my eyes. "It's okay, I find it boring." I turned my back and tried to walk.
When he suddenly speak. "Wait! We will not enter? I mean, do you want to see inside? It’s more beautiful seeing the books than looking here outside." I turned to him. He gulped. "But if it's not okay, we will get going. But you'll miss what's...inside..."
There he goes. I know, he just wanted me to see what he loves. Just a normal him.
"Fine, I'm interested." I walk in, leaving him outside.
I pushed the glass door. My mouth opened with amusement as soon as a saw the interior.
"Wow, I didn't saw it coming," I whispered to myself.
