"Hey! I told you I'd be the one to go first!" Vanna exclaimed. "Please, let me shower first! You take such a long time!" Drianne insisted. "Calm down, girls. There are two bathrooms," Marcus said as he intervened between the two girls who were arguing because they were so thrilled to start preparing for our next trip. Everyone woke up early in the morning to go for a walk. Yuan recommended it so that we can condition our bodies. Even though I was sleepy, I tried my hardest to wake up because I had no choice. Melissa pushed open the curtain that separates the indoors from the outside. The sky was captivating because the sun was just rising, and the chipping of the birds added to the beauty of the day. "Pandesal! Pandesal for sale!" A vendor yelled from the street outside. She was selling a type of bread that was well-known in the Philippines. "I'm just going to go outside and buy." Melissa exclaimed with glee. She put on her jacket before heading out because the breeze is really chilly outside. Given how cold it was, I was unsure whether I should take a shower. The sweet aroma of coffee infiltrated my nose. My parents and I used to drink this every morning when I was still living with them. "Coffee? I'm aware that this is your favorite." Jez muttered. I can tell it was a strong black coffee just by sniffing it. I recall my mother making a delicious cup of coffee and a warm pandesal before sending me off to school. I took a sip of it after slowly blowing it out to cool it down a little bit more. "This is the first time I've had coffee in a long time." I said to Jez, who is currently sipping on a glass of warm milk. Unfortunately, I can't really coerce this guy into drinking his coffee because he has this bizarre belief that it will turn your skin the color of coffee. In addition, it only serves to exacerbate his anxiety. "I know, girl. That's why I prepared it for you," he explained shortly. I know he's not in the mood right now because his sleep was disrupted. I'm curious who's going to take the next shower. At some distance away, Yuan called out. His well-defined abs were on full view because only a white towel was covering his lower body. "M-Me!" Jez volunteered while flashing a flirty smile. He ran to the bathroom as soon as he grabbed the towel from the chair. However, when this flirt purposely fell down, Yuan was there to catch him and took advantage of the opportunity to hold Yuan's biceps. "Be careful," Yuan cautioned, completely unaware of Jez's true motivations. Because of how much of a flirt this friend of mine is, my brows were raised. Instantaneously, he looks at me, winks, and gives me a secret thumbs up. Melissa followed me to the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee. She placed the bread on a plate, it looks so delicious because it's freshly cooked. I have the feeling I'm going to eat a lot right now. "Oh my God, it's so cold!" she exclaimed before wrapping her arms around herself. "But you know what's even colder?" she asked, a full smile on her face as she made the peace sign. I understand she was making a reference to T. H. and my relationship "That is something I am already aware of! You're treating me in this manner solely because your relationship with Marcus is blossoming, don't you think?" Suddenly, her cheeks turned bright red as she lightly slapped my arms. "Hey, we're just friends!" she exclaimed flirtatiously. "Put an end to the "friends" nonsense! You will not be able to fool me!" "Wow! You also deceived me when you claimed that you are only friends with T. H., but I witnessed him kissing your forehead!" She gave a meaningful smile. "Why? Have you and Marcus already kissed?" "Oh, how I wish! Of course not!" She burst into laughter. "I'm currently interested in a large number of boys. Do you want me to make a list?" She went on to say with pride. Despite the fact that she proudly stated that, I am aware that it is all one-sided. She is the only one who is interested, and the other is not. "No. It will simply be a waste of our time." I said just before biting into the bread. "Whatever! Just go ahead and take a shower! Jez is done." I happened to run into Sasha, who was dressed in a spaghetti strap top and ripped shorts. Is she certain that's what she's going to wear? "Consider yourself lucky if that outfit doesn't make you itchy. We're going on a hike," Marcus made a remark. "Fortunately, I have a spare set of clothes with me. Don't worry about me." Sasha winked. "What's up with your reaction?" I asked Melissa. "She gave him a wink!" "Don't worry about it, it's not like you're dating each other." I said before I took a second mouthful of the bread. "Oh my God, that hurts!" "It's painful to know the truth." I said before I left her to wash the cup I had used. When I went to the restroom to fetch my towel, I was taken aback by what I saw there. I screamed to the top of my lungs. Oh my goodness! What was that that I just saw? Relax, Kaoree. What were you thinking? "Why didn't you knock?" He froze in disbelief before grabbing a towel from a hook on the wall and covering whatever needed covering. "Is that something I still have to do? This is a women's restroom, not a men's!" I defended myself, my cheeks still hot. My face is probably as red as a tomato right now. "Do you want me to leave or do you still want me here?" he said with a smirk "What?! Get out of here, I don't need you!" I swallowed because I was reminded of what I had just witnessed. "Sorry. I'd appreciate it if you could please wait here for at least five minutes." I nodded, a little sluggishly. Fortunately, he didn't disappoint me because he completed the task in five minutes or less. His laughter was even more contagious when he realized I was pissed by his actions. I didn't give a damn about him and continued to go inside. I instantly showered and dressed in an attempt to forget about everything. I overheard them chuckling while playing chess. "Psst!" "Psst!" "Psst!" "So, what's the deal with your expression? You're lacking in affection, aren't you?" He joked. "Don't worry, I'm here to make up for the fact that you don't have any love for T. H." "Your brief!" "It was in the bathroom. You were well aware that it was a female restroom, and you even left that... thing!" "What the hell, Latrelle?" Yuan said just before bursting into laughter. "You can say it to me quietly and lovingly if you want." He muttered that sent shivers down my spine. "I don't want to!" My stomach is churning at the sight of him. Perhaps it was because he was negligent with regard to the things that needed to be looked after. "It's for this reason that I love you even more, since even when you're angry, you manage to make me blush." I stared him straight in the eyes, but there was something I realized. "Please, no more flirting. Let's get back to the game!" Yuan interrupted. My mind and heart have betrayed me. Because I wanted to hear those comments from someone who had wronged me.
