Everybody fell asleep in the van because we had gotten up so early earlier in the morning. I was startled when we came to an abrupt stop in order to avoid colliding with an approaching vehicle that appeared out of nowhere.
I heard the sound of a chip's plastic being opened, but it was only a faint sound. I swiveled around to see where the sound was coming from. It was immediately clear that Jez had only recently woken up while attempting to open the bag of her favorite chips.
"You're being extremely selfish." He was taken aback to the point where he almost lost his grip to the plastic.
"Selfish?! Isn't it reasonable for me to be concerned that if I give you these chips, you'll eat them all?" he exclaimed as he savored his chips.
"Give it to me! It's not like we don't know each other!" I was the one who responded. If I had known that he was carrying chips, I would have sat next to him instead of in the passenger seat of the car.
I was attempting to get it on his hands, but my arms were simply too short.
"Serves your right! What comes to mind now that you're sitting next to the driver? You're such a drama queen. Surely you feel like you are in a music video as you take in the scenery and think about someone who has a thing for someone else!" He made a remark before handing me his chips.
"What the hell? You say a lot of things!" I groaned. After I returned with the snack, I shifted my seat.
"Don't eat it all at once! My favorite Piatas chips were the red ones!' He explained. He behaves as if he is a child who is fussing over a piece of candy.
"Yes, I understand! Don't be concerned, I'm not hungry at all. I'm only interested in getting a taste of it."
When I discovered that there were a large number of chips inside the plastic, my eyes glowed with delight. My initial taste was only a small amount, since I was curious as to what it tasted like. Second, I had another taste of it. Third, because it was so good, I couldn't stop myself from eating it. Fourth…
"Hey! You said that you were not hungry! God, you are on the verge of eating the entire bag of chips."
There's no denying that anyone may be self-centered when it comes to their favorite food.
"That is why I do not believe you in the least. Particularly when it comes to eating, you're a clown," he exclaimed before breaking into laughter.
We arrived at our paradise-like destination a few minutes later. The driver left us because he said that her wife needs his help. He'll simply return after we've finished exploring the area. Yuta is acquainted with him, so we decided to let him in because it seemed to be an urgent situation.
"Oh, I'm not surprised that my magnetic personality continues to be alluring even in this area." Marcus commented as he took his sunglasses off his face. The wind blew suddenly and caused his eyes to hurt because of the dust.
"Ouch! It's a terrible pain!" He screamed in a high-pitched tone. Every girl who happened to be passing by burst out laughing because of him.
"Marcus! Please help me get rid of this!" He told to his friend, who is currently engaged in a conversation with Yuta about the beautiful tourist  attractions in this area.
"Marcus!" he cried even again, but Marcus was preoccupied and didn't even notice him scream.
I looked for Sasha on the other corner of the room from where I was standing. They said they were only going to use the restroom, but they haven't returned as of yet. What happened to them?
Also, Jez. He's also not coming back, either. Is he upset that I nearly finished all of his food? But that's a little too simplistic. For something so small, I'm confident he will not sulk.
There's a familiar car parked on the other side of the street. The door to the driver's seat opened, revealing Wyndery, who was dressed in a scarf. His smile is just as stunning as his clothing. He's dressed casually in a yellow tee, faded frayed shorts, and a pair of slippers.
"Kaoree! My eyes are hurting! Why aren't you paying attention to me?" Latrelle yelled once more, this time sounding like he was about to cry. God! I was under the assumption that he had successfully removed the thing that was causing him discomfort in his eyes.
I decided to help him in order to get him to stop whining like a child. I took a step closer to him in order to blow his eyes, but he halted me in my tracks.
"Wait, wait!" he exclaimed, his one eye squeezed tightly.
"Why?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.
"Did you manage to wash your teeth?" he asked back. I burst out laughing because of his question.
"Yes, without a doubt! If you get a whiff of my breath, you might want to consider using it to make your perfume."
He laughed heartily, attracting the attention of the people walking by, and he said nothing "It's a really funny joke. Okay, just help me out with this one thing."
He adjusted the angle of his head to make it more in line with my height. With each step, I got a little closer to him.
"I'll take care of it." He took my arm in his and was the one who helped Latrelle.
Latrelle's brow was creased, and his red eyes were still evident. They were both looking at each other very intently.
An approaching lady broke up their stares. "T. H., I've arrived!" As she smiled happily, she wrapped her arms around T. H.'s shoulders.
"Oh, you're here as well?" she exclaimed, a little irritably, as she realized I was present.
I'm sure this girl is only brave enough to spout mean words because she knows someone will come to her defense. But what if we're just the two of us alone together? I'm not sure she'll be able to say that.
"Are you triggered?" I smirked and looked at T. H., who had his lips parted because of what I had just said. I turned my gaze back to the woman he was with.
"Why would I do that? I'm not going to get triggered by low-class b*tches." She grinned, bringing attention to her extremely red lips. Bitch, you look like you've just been stung by a swarm of hives full of bees.
"Why are you speaking in such tone if you're not feeling triggered? Or, perhaps, you feel threatened? Are you concerned that someone may steal your man?" I took a closer look at their entwined arms. She was holding T. H.'s arms even tighter now than she had been earlier.
"Guys, put a stop to that. You're both much hotter than the bread we ate earlier in the evening." Marcus came in between the two of us and interrupted us.
"Let's go! Prepare yourself by stretching your legs because this will be a hard road." Yuan reminded. It was a nice timing because our friends who had gone to the bathroom had returned at the same time.
"I thought you were eaten by the toilet bowl." I told Melissa and Jez. The three girls followed Yuan, who was in the lead. They were having a good time chatting with our tour guide, who was quite knowledgeable about the area. According to his cousin, Marcus, it's understandable because he lives near mountains and also works as a fisherman.
"No. Jez's stomach was grumbling, so he did... you know." Melissa burst into laughter.
"Yeah. It's possible that it's because of the coffee." Jez responded while clutching his stomach.
"For the next time, just drink milk," I suggested. "You know your stomach is very sensitive, so it's best to choose your foods appropriately," I explained further.
I thought we were going to stop for a break in the middle of our walk, so I pulled over beside the mango trees to wait.
When I saw T. H. in front of me, my heart skipped a beat and my feet took a voluntary step back. My throat was getting dry, so I swallowed.
"T. H., Rosella might be on the lookout for you," I said wearily. The girl was currently with Latrelle and Marcus, and she was enjoying herself while conversing with them.
"I don't give a damn if she goes looking for me."
His response took me completely by surprise. That wasn't something I was expecting. I swear I can feel my heart pounding against the inside of my rib cage as he gets closer to me. His gaze had been fixed on mine. I've just realized that he's only an inch or two away from being right in front of me.
I could hear him exhaling deeply, "Kaoree, let's..."
"Oh my goodness, my eyes! You really chose this place to flirt, didn't you?!" Because of Jez's scream, the corners of our mouths widened. I had a strong desire to throw something at him.
My thoughts were still mulling over everything that had happened. What do you think would be a nice thing to throw to him? Is it the stems of the trees that are strewn across the path, or is it the small stones that are right beside my feet?
"I have to get going," T. H. said, as if he hadn't done anything earlier. He left us and I had the opportunity to take several deep breaths and calm down.
"Hey! You're back with him, aren't you? You're easily swayed, young lady." Jez smacked me in the arm. That was a simple smack to him, but it was a sting to me!
"It's not like that at all... We've just finished talking." I defended myself before continuing to walk at the same pace as our friends.
"Talk? Are you certain? You're only an inch apart from each other!" He responded in a mocking tone.
"It's been proven that you're easily swayed by that guy!" he said. We only exchange high-fives before bursting into laughter.
"But seriously, don't fall prey to T. H.'s charming personality or you'll find yourself in the same situation again," he warned.
"I'm sorry, but I really wanted to be a victim!" I made a joke before laughing.
"You're a complete moron, young lady. You can do whatever you want, at the very least, I provided some advice!" He replied while applying bb cream to his face.
