ASHER'S POINT OF VIEW 'Uh, Aunt Wart, come back now. I cannot handle this kind of thing alone. I cannot handle it yet. Not yet.' It was midnight already but here I was. Instead of being asleep, sitting on the sofa while the lights were off. If somebody would see me, he or she would think that I was a brokenhearted person. But, hey, I was not widely awake because of that. The reason was . . . because I was watching out for Scarlette's safety. A few minutes later, a strange presence appeared behind me followed by another . . . followed by another . . . followed by another . . . and followed by another. All in all, there were five. When compared to the presence that I felt earlier, these were weaker. I stood up and faced them. Through the moonlight that passed through the glass windows, I saw what they looked like. They were wearing black cloaks and have pure black eyes, bloody red faces, and dirty white sharp teeth. One thing is for sure – they came from the Underworld. SCARLETTE'S POINT OF VIEW 'That was embarrassing!' was all I could say when I realized what happened - Asher saw me in that state. I was sure, I looked like a tomato when I was still with him earlier. 'That was embarra―wait, what?!' I sat on my bed and stared at the wall while my mind was loading. 'It was not just embarrassing, it was super embarrassing!' I just sighed and laid down again. "It was already done. I could not reverse it anymore." "Ugh!" I was startled upon hearing that shout. "Ugh! Stop!" That was Asher's voice! I quickly got up and ran towards the gate. I cussed when I forgot the keys inside the drawer. I returned and ran again for the second time. Still, I cussed when I tried to open their gate. It was locked! I bit my lower lip as I breathed to calm myself. I needed to think of what should I do. After that, I stared at the not-so-high gate. "Ugh! Stop!" I heard Asher shout again. Uh, I was left with no other choice. I rubbed my hands with each other as I counted one to three before I climbed. Yes, I just climbed the gate. I ran towards the door. "Ugh! Stop! Please!" Luckily, the door was not locked. After I twisted the doorknob and pushed the door, I froze because of what I saw. Five creatures-in-cloaks were around Asher and beating him. I could not see their faces because I was at their back. "Ugh!" I bit my lower lip as I thought of ideas on how I could save him. I looked around the whole place but there was not anything that I could use. I felt my hands tremble. "Damn it," I cussed―uh, wrong move. Those creatures-in-cloaks heard me so they turned in my direction. And because of that, I saw how they looked through the moonlight - pure black eyes, bloody red faces, and sharp teeth. My eyes widened as I stared at them. I felt like I wanted to shout but I could not. It felt like I lost all of my energy. My voice had gone. My heartbeat became faster when they started to walk closer to me. I gulped. "D-do not c-come . . . n-near me!" I said, "P-please." Tears began falling from my eyes. I wanted to run but my body would not let me. My knees were trembling a lot in fear. Still, they walked toward me. They were smiling ear-to-ear which gave me chills down my spine. One of them laughed and uttered, "So, you are the daughter of that swordsman." Confused, 'Daughter of swordsman? Who? Me?' "S-stop! Do not come any closer!" I pleaded. They laughed in unison. "And why would we? God Durlen will be happy if we will bring you to him." 'Damn it, Scarlette! Do something!' The hatred I felt started to build up. 'I hate it. I hate how weak you are.' "D-damn." I looked in Asher's direction when I heard his voice. He tried to stand up but he was in too much pain. "Shit," he cussed. He looked in my direction with his worried face. "Run!" I shook my head. "I-I cannot run away." It made his forehead crease because of frustration. "Hard-headed. I can handle this. Trust me. Now, run!" I refused firmly, "I cannot leave you here, dumb!" "Good girl," the demon in the middle said. "Do not leave, so we can capture you at once." Just a few meters before they could reach me, I breathed deeply to calm myself. I looked around again to find something that I could use but this time, I was calm. I noticed the tall, black vase at the side of the opened door. Thanks to the reflection of the moonlight, I was able to see the silver sword in it. I grabbed it and held it tightly. "You are really his daughter," the demon on the left side said. 'His? Is he referring to Dad?' I thought. "Who are you talking about?" I asked, all of sudden, curiosity came. They stopped and smirked even more. "Pity. You do not know anything." My eyebrows met. "Do not know about what? Huh?" "Come with us and we will tell you." "And do you think that I will agree to go with you, Demons?" "Ha! Then, you left us with no other choice!" I bit my lower lip when they walked continuously as they surrounded me. A few seconds passed, and they attacked. I did not know what mystery happened to me but it was clear that I used the sword so fast - just seemed like it was so natural for me to use it. I swiftly moved as I dodged their attacks and slashed them. Groans and grunts were all I could hear from them after slashing their hands, arms, legs, stomachs, and heads. Blood was scattered on the wall, floor, curtains, and on my clothes. "W-what have I done?"
