"You have just two days to prepare it Kebarah." Lewis informed immediately Kebarah walked into his chambers. "Why two days, I could make it now, the most important ingredient is Yvonne." He replied, hating the fact that they were delaying it. "We always give two days notice. The first day Is for her to bid farewell to her family members and the second day is for her to be purified by the palace women. If I skip tradition and something goes wrong, questions will be asked and that will only plant seeds of doubts in the people's minds." "As you wish, your highness." He joked making Lewis laugh. "I will administer the poison to her tomorrow then." He added. Lewis laughed, enthralled just by the thought of his lifelong dream being fulfilled. "To our alliance." He said raising a toast. "The most dangerous alliance in history." Kebarah replied and they both burst into laughter. "I sometimes take pity on my ignorant brother." He started after taking a sip of his wine. "I had sent message of our agreement to the water wielders and to every part of this nation. When he is found dead beside Yvonne's battered corpse.." He paused to laugh evilly and Kebarah finished it for him. "It will be the talk of the world. His corpse will be spat at for killing Innocent girls and he will become a villain in the eyes of the water wielders wielders for killing their queen who was only fighting to keep them safe." "At least Yvonne will be a hero." "You are sure the poison will not kill her before It gets to him?" Lewis asked, slight apprehension in his voice. If such happens, he will not only fail in killing his brother forever, because that is the only remaining venom, his wrongdoings might also be exposed. "Be rest assured Lewis. The potion I am making will release it in small portions and it will only reach the lethal amount for humans at midnight because I will administer it to her at midnight too." "The plan is Yvonne will be delivered to his room around the time when no ray of sun is present in the sky. She will take her time to seduce him, though I will make sure he is drunk to increase the chances of him falling for her seduction. They would fondle a little to make sure he trusts her and when he is fully immersed in passion, she will bite her tongue till it bleeds and kiss him therefore making him swallow the venom laced blood. The venom is highly lethal to monsters and the quantity does not matter except as you wish to have him sleep forever instead of die so you could have his beating heart, I will make sure to instruct her to execute the task before midnight or we will have to pull out the heart before he is completely dead." "As for Yvonne, the effect of the Poison commences immediately it is consumed on a monster so it will realize it has been poisoned almost immediately and it will attack her due to anger and fear. It may kill her before it collapses or at the very least render her unconscious before the poison finally kills her and I can have a part of her blood before the bodies are officially discovered in the morning." "What a tragic death." Lewis said,a sinister smile on his face yet there was doubt in his eyes. "If only there was another way." He added. "I can only hide the strong stench of the venom by the stronger stench of blood and I would have suggested to hide it in meat but the remaining portion you have will only suffice for one, therefore making me unable to get the venom for myself. However, if I put it in her blood, the whole of her blood will become poison and your request to have him die with a woman, I doubt he will eat meat before bedding a woman, not to talk of how suspicious the meat will seem. This is the only way I can assure you of victory." "I know I should mind my business but what other monster do you want to kill to desperately need the venom?" Lewis asked curiously. Kebarah was quiet for a while before he replied. "A monster that gives me sleepless nights." **********# Irina could not help the rush of memories as she strolled by the familiar places. The hallways use to be her favourite because of how walking through it made her feel like a princess. She had always felt like all eyes were on her and the guards there were to protect her because she was an important asset to the royal family. How naive of her She chose not to dwell on the last or the alternative future and focused on her mission. She needed to hurry so she would be able to get some sleep too. The mission was harder than is sounded because it was already past midnight and wherever she hoped to get information or whoever she hoped will be gossiping about the latest news was fast asleep. She had visited Noelle's room first and he was awake but after she had stayed for a while and he had said nothing but read, she knew she would get nothing from him. Next, she had looked around and finally stumbled on Yvonne's room but she was fast asleep, her guards too were sleeping on duty so she could not catch any gossip from them. She looked for Kebarah's chamber but once she found it, it was empty. Where had he gone at such an ungodly hour? Maybe making plans. If only she knew where he would be. She then proceeded to check the sorcerers chambers, the library but all were empty. As she searched her brain for other places he could be, she realised she had not had a glimpse of the king's chambers. However, entering the king's chambers was not easy as the magical barrier that was protecting it against intruders no matter how she tried only blew her off. She found herself almost knocking against a wall which would have made her visible and at the wrong place for they were two guards right in front of the chambers facing the wall she had barely escaped from hitting. She thought of what to do for a while before she chose to wait in front of the chambers. Even if Kebarah was not in the chambers which she doubts, the guards were the only ones fully awake and it will be a matter of time before they began gossiping to pass time. As she waited, she tried to eavesdrop so she could hear any sounds but there was nothing. Considering how big the chamber is, even if they were saying something, she doubts she will hear it since they would be deep inside. Suddenly, she heard laughter. Two different make voices. "Have a good sleep Kebarah." She heard and the door opened for a smiling Kebarah who walked out and turned to an equally smiling Lewis. "Should you not start calling me in-law. I am like a father to Yvonne." He teased, making Lewis laugh harder. "Of course my son and your daughter will be engaged in two days we are in-laws now." "Have a good sleep inlaw." Lewis added laughing uncontrollably. It may be because she has a glimpse into their plan but the sarcasm in their voices made her skin crawl. She glanced at the guards pretending to be minding their business. This is all a show for them. Lewis had always been very good at putting on the mask of a kind and just leader and that of a caring father, they must be planning something and they needed the world to believe they are just the innocent in-laws. "Good night in-law."
