The sunlight entered the room and hit the bed directly, Micah frowned as he felt the light against his eyes, He slowly got up of the bed and looked around, he was still not used to sleeping on the left side of the bed, he leisurely glanced at the right side of the bed that was empty.
“Did she wake up early?” He muttered to himself and looked at the bathroom door. He got up from the bed still sleepy, he knocked on the door a few times.
“Hurry up!! I don’t have all morning to wait for you!” He spoke with a dissatisfied tone.
There was no response from inside, Micah’s frown slowly disappeared as he opened the door to find it empty.
“Did she go out?” Micah muttered to himself and went inside.
Micah got ready and walked downstairs towards the dining room, he saw the maids cleaning the tables and mopping the floor. He looked around but didn’t see Eryna, so he asked a maid.
“Where is Renya? Did she already leave?” Micah asked.
“Miss.Renya? No, I didn’t see her come down,” she replied.
Micah was puzzled but suddenly he remembered.
‘I-I asked her to leave!!’
He looked down at the floor as the scene from yesterday played before his eyes. He glanced at the hallway where Renya’s room was located.
‘Did I say too much?—no! I did the right thing, she deserved it!’ He thought while making an arrogant face.
But his gaze was still glued to the hallway, the maids were puzzled too as they didn’t know what they were supposed to do,
“Should I check her room? It’s possible that she is there,” the maid Micah had talked to asked.
“Yes! Tell her to wake up, she is late for work,” Micah made an arrogant face while speaking.
“Right away, Master,” the maid swiftly walked towards the room, Micah took a seat beside the table and asked another maid to bring him a glass of water.
A few moments passed and the maid returned with a glass of water, Micah took it and was about to take a sip out of it when he heard a shocked voice, it was the maid, she came back running and her face wasn’t calm.
“Master, Miss.Renya isn’t in her room, all her belongings are gone as well,”
‘Crash…
Micah's face went blank, the glass in his hand slipped out of his clutches. The water splattered all over the floor while the glass broke into tiny pieces.
“What did you say?” Micah asked again. “Did you say Renya wasn’t in her room?” Micah stood up slowly as his gaze travelled through the hallway. He stepped forwards, towards the room. The door was closed and he bursted into it.
“Renya?—“ He looked around before calling out once more, “Renya?!” He opened the washroom door to look, but it was empty .
Micah was flustered, it seemed as if someone had taken all the belongings away with them, he opened the wardrobe to find it empty. His complexion became pale as he held the wardrobe door.
“Did she really leave?...” his gaze was blank as he stared at the empty room.
His words from yesterday rung in his ears like warning bell,
“Get out!!”
“I am sorry,”
“I said get out!! And don’t let me see you again!.”
“Hah! Was it that easy? I thought it would take a lot of effort to throw her out of this mansion,” Micah muttered with a sour mood, his eyes trembled as he walked out of the room, he wanted to act as if he was relieved but he couldn’t, it was his rude tone that kept on ringing in his ears.
……………………………………………………….
Ayden walked through the office’s hallway when he heard strange murmurs, at first he wasn’t interested but then he heard Micah’s name ,he kind of got curious about what had happened. He walked closer to a group of girls that were gossiping amongst them,
“Hi ladies! Are you having a great day?” He asked in a cheerful tone.
“Gasp!” The girls suddenly got shocked when they saw Ayden talking to them.
“What happened, is there something on my face?” Ayden started rubbing his cheeks.
“Yes!” One of them replied, that made Ayden more conscious,
“What is it?” He asked.
“It’s charm …” she replied with a low chuckle, Ayden was left shocked for a second before he understood the joke.
“Haha!! You are funny,” he replied, “ by the way, what is all this? Did something interesting happen?” Ayden asked.
“You don’t know?” They asked in shock.
“No, that is why I am asking you,”
“It’s Master Micah, he is in a very bad mood, he has fired half the staff of the advertising department at the meeting,” they replied with a sorry gaze.
“Half the staff? Is he nuts?” Ayden was shocked, he rubbed his temple and looked around.
“Everyone is worried, he had called the meeting of the managers of all the departments...it seems like many of the workers would be fired today,” they replied with traumatised looks on their faces.
“Sigh! I will have to talk to him…” Ayden muttered and walked over to Micah’s office, he walked in without knocking,
“Okay now Brother! What is wrong with you today? Did you eat the wrong medicine?” Ayden lashed out at him.
“You forgot to knock,” Micah replied.
“Gosh! Brother, are you for real going to do something childish like this? Tell me what happened?” Ayden asked.
“What happened? I just didn’t like the staff so I fired them,” He replied.
“So you want me to believe that?” Ayden asked.
“What else can there be?”
“There is clearly something wrong with you, or why on earth would you fire so many workers on a single day?”
“They were—annoying,” Micah threw the file in his hand and rubbed his temple, and licked his lip that had dried out.
“Did you have a fight with Grandpa?” Ayden asked with a tired voice.
“What does it have to do with that?” Micah asked.
Ayden glanced back at Micah with a serious gaze, his lips twitched and he replied softly.
“Brother Dear, I know you very well...the only reason you would act like this is when you are furious at something Grandpa did.“ Ayden paused,
Micah listened to him attentively, his face formed into a complex expression. Micah placed his hands on the table and placed his head on it.
“I wish it was because of something grandpa did!!” Micah’s voice was not the usual one, it had tenderness in it. Ayden frowned a bit and then rubbed his head before asking.
“This is new, Come on tell me what is wrong,”Ayden asked.
“Tell them that there is no need to leave the work—I will let them off the hook this time with a warning,” Micah muttered, his head was still on his hands.
Ayden was feeling anxious when he saw his brother in a sorry state so he walked to his side and patted his shoulder.
“Come on—get up! Let’s eat something first—you need energy to work,” Ayden spoke.
“I am not hungry, you can go ahead without me-I just want to rest alone for a while,”
