Eryna was dropped off at the mansion by Hunter because Grayson had decided to stay with Simba. It was already dark outside, Eryna brought in the bouquet with her and walked with a huge grin on her face, her heart was fluttering as a huge burden had been lifted from her heart, she walked in a half dancing manner.
“You came back quite early, you could have stayed more,” Micah spoke sarcastically. She didn’t notice Micah sitting in the main room that was a very unusual thing.
“I know right...I was telling Hunter not to hurry so much,” Eryna mumbled the last words.
Micah frowned and glanced at the bouquet in her hand with a puzzling look.
“What are you holding?” He asked.
“Hm? This?” She lifted the bouquet,” they are flowers, can’t you see?” She replied.
Micah didn’t reply and glanced back at the papers in his hand.
“Are you done interrogating me? Can I leave now? I'm already very tired,” Eryna spoke in a tired voice.
“Grandpa said he would be here,” Micah spoke.
“Again?!” Eryna’s expressions became sour suddenly as she stared at Micah.
“I didn’t invite him,”
“God!! I don’t want to be in that boring room of yours,” Eryna wined and sat on the sofa in front of Micah. “I have already started missing my room,” Eryna wined until Micah got up and walked up the stairs.
“Hey! This is a disrespectful action you just did! I was talking to you,” Eryna shouted.
“Oh! I didn’t notice that” Micah smirked and continued walking up.
“This brat has no respect for elders,” Eryna muttered and looked up at the ceiling while getting comfy on the sofa.
Eryna stayed in the position for a while until she got bored and decided to go back to her room, She scratched her back while walking up the flights, Her tired legs weren’t moving quickly, she dragged her body to her room and opened the door slowly. The lights were already on and Micah sat on the bedding with his laptop in his lap while his back against the window.
“What is going on here?” Eryna rubbed her eyes to ensure that she wasn’t seeing things, but he was there. “Why are you in my room and on the top of that...WHY ARE YOU ON MY SIDE OF THE BED,” Eryna sprang in anger and bounced on the mattress.
“How does it feel? Does it hurt seeing your things being sabotaged,” Micah muttered with a mean expression.
“I am not talking to you and I will take my revenge,” Eryna pouted. “But I am still glad I don’t have to go to that stinky room of yours,” Eryna made herself comfortable on the bedding.
“How long is he going to stay?” She asked.
“Are you already tired of me?” Micah spoke while staring at the screen,
“Well, you can say that,” she replied in a mumble.
“Why?” Micah asked with a disappointed tone, “Why are you tired of me?”
“I don’t like things that I can’t predict, you are something I can’t predict so I don’t like you,” Eryna pulled the blanket from down his legs as she muttered.
“How?” He asked,
“You are nice to me sometimes while the other times you are grumpy and hurtful, it’s disturbing,” Eryna replied clearly while her back faced Micah, she had already curled herself into a ball.
Micah’s eyes stared at her for a long time, he was in a constant battle within himself wanting to say something but also stopped himself, but in this tug of war if his emotions he decided to say it.
“I am scared—“ he muttered.
Eryna listened to him quietly and then chuckled.
“If you are scared of me—then don’t be,” Eryna mumbled.
“No, I am scared of rejection,” Micah added,
“Hah! I can see that quite clearly, it’s just the reason isn’t clear,” Eryna turned around and glanced at him.
“You know?-how?” Micah was surprised.
“Because,” Eryna lifted her hand and pressed her finger against his frowning temple. “I have been there too,” Micah’s frown relaxed and he heard her sincere voice with an attentive face.
“Why?” Micah asked curiously, “who rejected you?”
Eryna retreated her hand a bit and then playfully pulled a few strands of his hair without realizing it, “ You wanna know?” She asked in a mysterious tone that made Micah even more curious.
“Hm…” he nodded, his guards were down and he looked like a normal person rather than a scary person.
“Come closer,” Eryna grinned.
Micah drew nearer, Eryna lifted her head from the pillow and whispered into his ear. “I was abandoned by life,“ she grinned.
Micah’s face suddenly changed and he looked surprised.
“Really,” he replied.
“Hah! Fooled you!” Eryna chuckled and rolled to the edge of the bedding. Micah stared at her dimple for a few seconds and then looked at her wet eyes that showed how much honesty was hidden in those words.
“Must have been hard for you,” Micah placed his files on the floor and muttered under his breath. Eryna’s ears perked up and her eyes swiftly crawled back to Micah, she was taken aback by him.
“What did you say?” Eryna asked with disbelief.
“I said it must have been hard for you,” he replied patiently and pulled the blanket over his head. Eryna who had been keeping her tears in didn’t notice them making their way out. Her heart skipped a beat as she stared at Micah.
Micah pulled away the blanket to tell Eryna to turn off the lights but when his eyes met hers he was petrified to see her tearful eyes.
“Did-did I do something wrong?” He looked like all the blood in his body had been sucked out. Eryna dried out her tears and turned around.
“No, I just felt like crying—“ Eryna replied in a teary voice.
“Come here,” Micah muttered,
“Huh?” Eryna looked around with her pink nose and red eyes.
“Here!” Micah patted on his lap,
“What for?” Eryna asked.
Micah clicked his tongue and pulled her closer, and landed her head safely on his lap.
“Cry!” He spoke.
“But-“ Eryna was confused for a moment.
“You only have 15 minutes,” Micah spoke with a stoic voice.
Eryna’s eyes filled up again and she started weeping out… the sadness that had stuck in Eryna’s heart for a while now came out of her eyes in the form of tears. Micah patted her head lightly while looking away,
“My father used to do this for me when I felt like crying,” his voice was weak as he spoke.
“See! I told you that you were unpredictable,” Eryna spoke.
Fifteen minutes passed and Eryna had cried out as much as she could, She sat up before Micah with her messy head and puffy eyes.
“I will repay for this, You can borrow my lap once you feel like crying.” She muttered.
