Author's POV The day finally arrived, for which everyone was waiting. The stage was decorated with lilies, her favourite flower. He was trying to hide his nervousness by repeatedly adjusting his tie. Seeing him doing this, Han Shuo laughed and asked, "Are you giving any job interviews? Relax." "You'll not get it until you become the groom, Han Shuo," Xi Song commented, mockingly smiling at him. "But he needs to find the bride first, Xi Song," Ling Xiao added. "Mr. Perfectionist failed to get his girl." Both kept throwing comments at him while he remained silent, feeling helpless. On the other hand, the bridesmaids were busy giving the final touch-up to the bride. "Have you remembered the vow, Xia Na?" Tang Xue asked out of curiosity as she nodded her head in a yes. "I can't believe our daring honey is getting married." Xingyue wiped her tears, gazing at her. "I know, right? No one expected she'd get married before me," Tang Xue chuckled. Hearing them almost made her tear up. She tried to hold back her tears so as not to ruin her makeup. "I love you, guys." She quickly embraced them in a group hug. The time had come. The classic wedding tune started playing when the door opened. Ling Xiao had reached the spotlight and was waiting for her. Then he heard the sound of walking. He glanced at the door and spotted her. Wavering hair, a white veil, and glowing brown eyes. Her juicy lips curled into a smile when her eyes met his. She was wearing a mermaid-cut gown, flaunting her curves. She was holding a bouquet of lilies in her hands while walking down the aisle. Behind her, bridesmaids carried her long veil and moved along with her. The closer she got to him, the more teary the moment became. Ling Xiao's POV She was coming to me, carrying the prettiest smile ever. I gasped while watching her look so beautiful. No matter how hard I tried to control myself, I lost. It was exactly as the books described it—a moment of adoration filled with her beauty. All I could do was stare at her effortless look. She was so pretty. Even when she reached me, my eyes were not ready to turn away. Xingyue cleared her throat, which led me to come out of my thoughts. I gave her my hand as we walked further to the stand. Holding hands in hand, I let out a deep sigh before starting my vow. "First of all, Xia Na, you're the most beautiful bride ever. Meeting you was the best moment of my life. But knowing you and losing myself in your love was even better than that. Maybe I never realised that someone could have filled that void. The light that you lit in my dimmest heart—would you like to be that light in my life for the rest of my life? Would you like to hug me in every little moment of happiness between us? Would you like to be my wife and spend the rest of your life with me?" She pressed her lips together, holding back her tears. She nodded with full vitality. "Yes, I will." My anxiety finally calmed down. But my heart was beginning to throb when it was time for her vow. "Love was something that I hardly ever expected in my life. I was completely used to always being alone in the tough moments of my life. I had thought that I would spend my whole life alone until my eyes met yours. I didn't know when that habit of quarrelling with you turned into love, Ling Xiao. Then a time came when I could feel less of my burden when you gave me a shoulder. For the first time, I felt the joy of relying on someone else. I know I always pretend to be tough, but thank you for letting me be one. Thank you for being my friend in my grief. Would you like to be with me in my sorrows and happiness? Will you be my husband, Ling Xiao?" "I will for sure, Xia Na." The room filled with applause as I took a step ahead and kissed her. ............................................... Tang Xue's POV The marriage ceremony wrapped up nicely. All the guests had gone. I too took my purse and was about to walk away when someone held my hand from behind. I was thrown against the wall and seized from both sides. I rolled my eyes, knowing who it was. "Mr. Han, I gave you a warning last time." "Shh!" Putting his finger on my lips, he shushed me. I gave him a pissed-off look. "I have come here to give my clarification. I can't stand it when you misunderstand my efforts as mistakes. Whatever I did was not my mistake, but I tried to make you mine, Tang Xue." He finally said my name, which I always wanted to hear. It was unexpected but pleasing at the same time. "I know I realised my feelings late, but can you accept Mr. Perfect's tiny flaw? I like you, Tang Xue." What I was looking for, I saw in his eyes today. He put his hands around my cheeks and cupped them. Slowly, he leaned closer to me as I closed my eyes. My lips curled into a tiny grin when his lips kissed my forehead. Even if I expected him to kiss my lips, I love how intimate a forehead kiss could feel. .................................................. Xingyue's POV Holding a glass of red wine in one hand, I was enjoying the view with a bouquet in the other. My eyes instantly spotted a familiar figure as I called him, keeping the glass on the table. "Xi Song!" He turned to look at me. Without saying anything, I directed him towards a drink with my eyes. It was full of stillness for a while, filled with the seashore. We both just sat quietly and sipped wine. Then I thought of breaking the silence, and looking at him, I asked, "How is the work in the US?" "It's quite tiring, but I'm now used to it." "Oh! Then you must have gotten the American girl as well. I've heard they're too pretty." His slight chuckle stunned me. "They are, but I'm still stuck on one girl." It was enough for me to turn my eyes away. He noticed it as he threw a similar question at me. "What about you? Did you encounter any handsome guys?" Humming, I took a sip of wine and waited for him to react to it. But he didn't. He shook his head and congratulated me instead. "Mom!" A girl came running towards us. A smile formed on my lips as I squatted to reach her height and greet her. "How is my baby doing?" "I'm all great. But I have to go now." "It's okay, Honey. We can play the house game next time too." Kissing her cheek, I watched her leave and turned my head, only to see him walking away too. I stood up and headed to grab his hand. I clutched his wrist, making him turn back. The moment he turned, I wasted no time and landed my lips on his. Xi Song's POV As soon as I turned, her lips brushed against mine. Shockingly, I frowned at my place with my eyes wide open. I was trying to process things. The kiss felt as if I had returned home after a long, tiring journey. She broke the kiss and moved back when she noticed I hadn't kissed her back. "Are you dumb? Do you think I can move on from you, settle down, and have a five-year-old daughter in just three years?" Tears dropped down her cheeks as she claimed, "I missed you, Xi Song." She burst into sobs. "I missed you so much!" Putting her hands over her face, she covered her eyes. With my trembling hands, I slowly took her hands in mine and made her look at me. "Xingyue, I missed you too." I leaned in, cupping her face and reaching her lips. I closed my eyes and brushed my lips against hers. Love is all about becoming silly. In order to have it, you need to come out of your comfort zone and embrace it with all your heart. There would be many love stories displaying different types of love. Some remain incomplete. Some are painful. Some are filled with happiness, while others are built by destiny. But in the end, it is all about finding the intense love in each other and holding onto it. __________________________________________ Epilogue: Intense Love Xingyue's POV I was sitting on a bench under a tree, waiting for Xi Song to come. The surrounding area had green grass all around. The chilly wind was blowing my hair after the rain fell. I was scrolling through my phone when I got a text from Xia Na. Staring at the screen, I squinted. I felt taken aback for a moment. Putting a hand over my wide-open mouth, I snuffed. "Is it for real?" She sent me a picture of her pregnancy test, which showed a positive result. Unexpectedly, I found myself jumping in rounds out of happiness. The joy was beyond any explanation. We were finally getting all this bliss we manifested in our rough times. It couldn't be better than this. Xia Na would live her dream of becoming a mom while Tang Xue finally experienced the taste of love. And for me, I couldn't be happier than remarrying him. Time has taught me to value relationships and how sometimes forgiving solves the most tangled problems. If happiness exists, it was there in my life in the form of Xi Song, my friends, my mom, and my sister. Even looking back, I just laughed when I remembered those moments when I met him for the first time. Little did I know that a stubborn person would become the dearest person in my life. I was so busy talking to myself that I didn't even notice Xi Song staring at me while sitting next to me. "I can wait for you, but the photographer can't." I came back to my senses when I glanced at him. A smile formed on my lips as I giggled over how handsome he looked in the black suit. I never imagined my heart would flutter watching him in the same wedding outfit. His visuals were not a lie. He felt exactly like the fictional characters I'd dreamed of. He lent me his hand and said, "Let's go." ........................................ Author's POV Holding hands, they intensely looked into each other's eyes when a click sounded. "Okay, shall we try some other pose now?" The photographer asked. "Umm... Can we make our own pose?" "Sure. Go ahead." He took his position as she signalled Xi Song to recreate their pose again. She again grabbed hold of his collar tightly and pulled him towards her. As she rested her face over his chest, she heard his heartbeats clearly. Without even notifying them, the photographer clicked their pictures, capturing their genuine happy smiles. It was almost evening by the time their photoshoot was over. The photographer handed them a printed photograph and left. He held two images: one from their past and the new one. She kept pointing out the differences while he chuckled. "Our smiles are looking so different. I can barely recognise us." She pointed it out, laughing. "It's because this time we happily got married." She nodded her head in agreement when they glanced at each other. "Mrs. Song..." "Yes, Mr. Song?" "Would you like to ditch your doctor husband and go on a sunset date with this gentleman?" Pressing her lips together, she tried not to laugh. Her lips formed a cute little pout as she rejected his offer. "I'm a loyal wife, Mr. Song. In my life, no one takes the place of my Dr. Song." "Isn't he boring and always working late at night?" "Yeah, but life is all about finding happiness in those adjustments. I hope you find someone great, Mr. Song." "Thank you, Mrs. Song, for being loyal to this idiotic, stubborn, cold-hearted Dr. Song. I hope you two will be together in every universe." "We will, but..." She stood up. "You're wrong about him, Mr. Song. He might act cold, but when you get to know him, you'll realise he is the sweetest person you've ever come across." Standing up, he grabbed her hand and intertwined their fingers. "Shall we go on a sunset date, Wifey?" Her curled lips answered him. He took the lead and ran while holding her hand as she followed him.

it was quite dusty, which seems like an old cherished picture.
