EPILOGUE

The wind was blowing behind my face as my feet touched the grass. I was lying under the tree, reading my favorite book. I spend most of my time in the park near our school because it's so peaceful here, unlike our school full of people roaming around.
"Aww," I threw the book in frustration. Here I am again, hating this book for the nth time.
What the hell is that? I've read the book a lot of times and I am still frustrated with the ending. I don't know why I'm still reading that thing even though I know the ending is the same. Well, it's my favorite book.
I do love the book but I hate the ending. I couldn't believe how I could even say that I love the book when I hate the ending. Well, I guess, there are things that we do love even if we hate them or things we hate but still love. Okay, guess, it is still the same.
Tsk. Nothing. I feel like I'm the protagonist in the story. It seems like we both have a connection so I read it over and over. I also have a lot of questions in my mind like my dreams that I feel have actually happened.
Do you know deja vu? I often experience that. And they said that maybe my dreams happened in my past. I dreamed a lot about a guy but I couldn't recognize him. Although, every time I woke up, my heart aches. And, there was even a time when I literally cried waking up and I don't know the reason. What was that? I still haven't figured it out.
Gosh! I want to see the author of that book so that I can ask for the next chapter. I don't like the hangover and I'm sad at the end of the story because Syne and Vlad didn't find each other.
Or maybe they did and the author is just playing with our minds?
Did they meet?
What happened? Did Syne defeat Michael or did Vlad reincarnate? I mean, did he already grow a soul? Ugh! I need book two because I am so disappointed at the ending. No, not disappointed, just sad for now apparent reason. I don't even get why I am so affected.
Am I the only like this? Getting so attached to a character that doesn't even exist?
Ugh! It's frustrating. I should not read this.
I have a lot of questions and I don't even know the answer. It's killing me. The author is really good at hanging us readers. Or maybe it was really the fact that the author wanted us to imagine the ending or end it by ourselves.
I just hoped that they got their happy ending. I think I'll write the ending I want for both of them because I still feel bad.
I'll just write and finish their story nicely. It's also the sign I am waiting for to start my novel. I always wanted to become a writer, but got no motivation to do that. This is it.
I got up and arranged my things. I immediately looked for the book that I had thrown away but I was shocked because it was already gone. Huh? What happened? Omg.
I really love that book even though it's old. I just bought it at the bookstore and I really liked the story even without a happy ending.
I'm a fool, why did I throw it? Where did it go? No one was even around? I am sitting on the lawn in front of our church. I looked around and there was no one.
Am I being haunted? Gosh.
I looked around and froze when a pair of shoes stopped in front of me. I raised my head, my gaze turned to his pendant, the same pendant in the story - Syne's watch pendant.
Wait ... why do I feel like.... What is this?
"Miss, is this what you're looking for?" I immediately looked at the man's hand as he lifted my book and smiled. Oh my gosh! I took the book and hugged it. I really thought it was gone.
"Thanks," I happily said.
"Their story doesn't have a happy ending, right?" he confirmed.
I stared at his face. Suddenly my heartbeat went fast and I seemed to be in tears for no apparent reason. Where did I see this man?
"Yeah, I hope they just met again," I replied while thinking about where I saw him until I remembered that he seemed to be with me in my dream.
"How about we just make our story a happy ending?"
Before I could react to what he said he held out his hand to me.
"I'm Vladimir, you are?"
I smiled. "Cassandra."
