‘I agree to everything you said. Mother possibly would not like to come home, even if Mr. Ribadau is dead today. She is a proud old lady who would never think it would be proper to come home in shame after the second failed marriages that ended with death. She would see it as stepping on her pride. As for me, I have forgiven her. But we shall as much as possible get ourselves close together even when Uka should refuse. After all he is not legally recognized to be father’s son. But as a secret, the deal to disconnect the life of Mr. Ribadau had been sealed and unfortunately, no going back to it. His tricks to get an opponent off the race for the white house would backfire. He employed our services, and I would rather spare the old chips to see him get rid of. That was the way he could be paid. I have been waiting, till few days to the election, I shall then do something real. I wish him not that, but must be carried out, not even by me. I would not want to stain my hands with his blood. I shall be in waiting. Meanwhile be at alert to news and security details which is in check now. Believe me you; his time on earth is up”. “I cannot make you believe I understand anything you said. But whatsoever may have happened or may happen, we must hold our hands close now”. They stood up, shook hands, looked into each other’s eyes hugged and separated. That was the way of men. “ I will see you tomorrow. You will see me brand new with shavings and cuts. My mourning period is soon over”. “Can I give you a ride? “No, don’t worry. Someone kept me company and you may not like to see him” “All right. Good night” “Good night too “he replied. That evening promised to be a good one. At least as he said, his mourning was over. He could sleep eye closed. He had seen the one he long desired to see. The only brother and person who understood him. He was right after all. Their mother needed them now to help her build back her past. He was soon on the street to the main road. Along the busy expressway from Stadium to the National Theater down the Military Barracks was so busy and stuffed with the teeming crowd of people of all age –brackets. It was the most bubbling point in the entire city, with the highest traffic and human congestion. The beat there does not stop with the array of expensive and ordinary cars and houses, which were mostly hotels, filed neatly like grand pix. It carries all torch of modern city and life. Mosi looked and waited as his brother passed the gleaming streetlights and nearby crowds to the dark evening, until he disappeared into the crowd.
* As supposed, Mr. Ribadau inherited Mr. Zack’s eternal burden, guilt and headache from his family to his political life, down to the innocent blood of someone who had done nothing to him. The problem coming from plotting the death of the man who was once acclaimed as the rising sun of the radical cleft. He would not have though involved in such or even heading the plotters considering the years, they spent together in their university days in Italy and in politics. Out of selfishness and greed, he was intimidated by a fat paycheck and promise of a better political future to accept the hardest assignment of the time which he fulfilled, but at the cost of his inner peace and personal convenience. If not for politics, quest for power and wealth, the whole idea would have been altogether different. It was his perceived flirtation with Barons of the reactionary ruling party that gave rise to the worst decision he had taken in life to kill an innocent man who was no more than a friend to him. A friend whose sudden end came when he had succeeded in garnering lots of support and admiration from a large segment of populace, a man with a political urge of almost maniac intensity. Beyond his brimming flow of creativity in politics which was acknowledged in the republic, energy, warmth, and curiosity for fresh ideas were just his ends. Big political heads from other subsidiary parties to the ruling party has been his major admirers and supporters. He had walked with the nation's tallest trees in the jungle of politics, paraded, dined and talked with them. His sudden rise to politics made him thinks higher and strongly, helping in solving problems and making every political problem look ordinary. Virtually no aspect of political life escaped his attention.
