Willow watched as the rogue followed the lazily strolling couple who were unaware of their impending doom. Soon the couple turned to a nearly abandoned street, their steps lazy, unaware of their surroundings. The rogue gave an evil grin as he rubbed his hands in anticipation. Willow was about to step into his path when two vampires met the rogue from another street. Willow stopped in her tracks, her confusion growing while the newly arrived vampires started conversing with the rogue as if they knew him. The couple strolled forward without the knowledge that they could have been murdered that night. Why would a vampire talk with a rogue? What's going on? Thankfully, she is a fair distance away from them to hear her approaching steps. Willow took her silver dagger that was tucked in her boots and scanned the streets for any further surprises. Just as she was thinking of making her presence known, a familiar voice rumbled beside her, "That's not nice of you to leave me behind" Willow's mouth thinned at his sudden, unwanted intrusion. "I can't wait while you prance around in your tulle vampire," she whispered back, keeping her eye on the trio. Thankfully, the wind is blowing in the opposite direction for them to hear anything. But it won't take too long for their vampire hearing to detect their presence. Willow has to get rid of her unwanted companion and fast. "My fangs are this close to sinking into your pulse," Lothaire whispered near her ear, his breath tingling her skin. "And my silver dagger is this close to pierce your skin," Willow countered changing the grip on her dagger making it face the vampire beside her. "Touché. What are we doing here?" Lothaire asked in a bored tone as if it's beneath him to stalk a group of vampires. "You know, my record is crystal clear. My team never... never failed a mission. I swear vampire I didn't get caught till now but with your grumbling, you will make sure otherwise," Willow angrily snubbed, as irritation mounted inside her. Why is she with him when the lead is a few steps away? "Me? Are you accusing me? You, puny woman, I will let you know no one talks to me like that. You should be glad I'm not sucking you dry right this moment for your defiance" "Oh, stop throwing tantrums. I swear you will give me brain damage before this is over. How can you walk with all that massive ego on your shoulders?" Lothaire stared at her lips, his gaze lingering there for more than a few seconds. The things he wants to do to that mouth are probably illegal. However, that didn't stop him from fantasizing about it "Give me a lip one more time Tinkerbell and I promise I will put those petals to good use," he whispered, his voice hoarse. Heat raised within her at his promise. Willow pinched her palm for good measure to anchor her to the present. "Look, all this jabbering will only make that trio slip away from us. I need to follow them. Why don't you scoot away for a while? I will meet you at the diner when this is over," Willow suggested patiently as if she is talking to a 10-year-old kid to go buy candy while she does the grownup stuff. "This is the last time you will talk to me like I'm a helpless, fragile imbecile who only meddles. If you don't heed Tinker bell, I will make good on my promise to taste those pouty lips of yours," Lothaire said from behind her, his body almost touching but not quite enough. Willow looked around her as if searching for something. "What are you doing?" "Looking for your minions to obey your command as you put it. I guessed your brain must have been damaged. But now, I'm sure. Who do you think you are? King? Ha! In your dreams" "Willow," he growled low, his throat working up and down to accommodate the sound. "Shhh. Are you blind? Can't you see I'm following them? Even if they can't see you, they will smell you if you are with me. I can't let them get away. Go stomp your foot somewhere else. Please try to understand." "Why can't they smell you?" Lothaire asked, ignoring the frustrated tone in her voice. "Because of this," Willow showed the shiny bauble on her finger. Lothaire grunted in displeasure. If he hadn't checked her ears while she slept, he wouldn't have known her kind. "I can't let you handle them alone" "As if I will listen to you. Listen, vampire, let me do my work. You will only get in my way. Please?" Willow threw "please" for good measure. Though she is in no mood to plead. "Fine," Lothaire said through tight lips as if it's paining him. Willow didn't waste time placate his sensibilities. She sprinted towards the retreating group. Just as they were about to go in separate directions, she jumped on them with her dagger ready. She used her powers to immobilize the two vampires while she tackled the rogue. Thick, thorny vines sprouted from the ground wrapping the vampires and immobilizing their hands and legs. They bared their fangs as they struggled to get out of the form grip. The rogue looked shocked to encounter her. "You!! Aren't you the one-" Willow sliced his stomach before he could utter another word. The rogue looked in shock at his cut abdomen. He bellowed his displeasure by screaming, "you will pay for this you whore!!" He charged at her but she is expecting his attack. Turning to her side at the last moment, Willow jabbed him at his ribs with her dagger once again. The rogue stumbled, blood oozing out of his body. His eyes unfocused, he turned and tried to attack her once again. Willow swiped her dagger in an arc, slicing his neck, not wanting to toy with him. It's not his fault he has gone rogue. If her guess is any indication then those warehouses are not merely breeding programs. Someone is capturing Supernaturals until they are starved and out of mind with hunger. Until they are willingly agreeing to turn into a rogue. But it's only her speculation. She has to find evidence to support her theory. That... that will be given by these two vampires. The vampires looked like one of those guards at the warehouses. Exactly not the ones she encountered but of the same brand. Menacing, master vampires who are arrogant enough to let their guard down. Willow cracked her knuckles and gave a sinister smile before facing them. But what she hasn't realized is that one of the vampires has cut the vines loose, allowing him room to slither away and spring upon her. Before he could sink his fangs into her, Lothaire is upon him, ripping the head in one swift move. Blood splashed everywhere. The body crumpled to the ground. Her body took a moment to notice what had transpired. Lothaire took angry steps, covering the distance, and went to the other one who is now literally scared and shaking as he gazed at him. He has not tried to escape, unlike his over-enthusiast partner. "Stop, you idiot!" Willow shouted just as his hands went around the other. Lothaire stilled, his body coiled in tension as it is about to leap and snap the vampire's neck. He turned and snarled at her; bloodlust mixed with adrenaline making him see everything as a danger to him. "Bones... leave him. We need him," Willow cajoled in a soothing voice. Her heart beating wildly in her chest. "Please Bones," Willow pleaded, her eyes never leaving his angry gaze. Slowly, Lothaire loosened his grip on the vampire, his anger dissipating and clearing his mind. "Willow?" He questioned, reading her defensive position, her hand tight on her dagger, ready to stab if needed. Lothaire backed down noting her coiled body. "Let's take this somewhere else," Willow said, turning and walking to a dark alley, her eyes not once meeting his troubled ones, her steps measured and tight. What has she landed into? Willow groaned under her breath.
