Book 1 - Chapter 10
“You were watching what was happening, right?” I asked Faolan a question while keeping eye contact with him the whole time. We are now back in the forest, where we usually train. I let out a long sigh as I looked at the cliff where our people used to live, but now there was no sign of anyone living there.
"You must know that he's been keeping something from me, right? Yeah, and I know he's been doing that. He might be able to figure out what people are thinking. When Faolan said, "I want you to keep your mouth shut all the time," I bowed my head to show that I agreed with him.
I told him, "He's my target now" while I was sitting on the edge of the cliff. When I think about this lonely place, I can feel energy rising up in me.
This helps me keep my cool and keep fighting for those people. Even though I can't see it right now, I'm sure that there is something written on the ground where all of the blood that has been shed in the last four years has been buried. After I told him that the dry, empty area made me sad, he came over and sat down next to me. I told him that it made me sad to see the land.
When I said, "I don't know why the game master told us that," he just looked at me while he picked up some rocks and tried to hit some trees that were still standing.
I told him I didn't understand why the game master had told us that. I replied, "I don't understand why the game master told us that."
When he said something like, "Maybe he sees some potential in us," I turned to look at him.
“If he couldn't learn anything new, he could never be a game master. It shows that he, like Kix Elifo, is hiding something from other people." It was something he said that made me agree with him.
I hadn't even considered that it could happen, but one thing is for sure: I'm not going to let anyone beat me in this competition. I don't want to waste all the hard work and inspiration I've put in over the past four years to get to this point where I'm finally ready. It's important that I win this fight, which is just getting started. I couldn't help but smile when I caught a glimpse of him.
I said, "This is the first step toward getting closer to the thrones."
At the same time, I could feel excitement starting to build up inside me. We have started making plans for everything that will be a part of the ceremony that is going to happen in the future. In contrast to what they usually do, this ceremony will be held for the first time with only three people. This will be the first time we've ever done something like this. The game master changed the original plan for the game, so our group is the first to do the activity. We still train and plan here in the forest where our now-extinct tribe used to live.
I was having trouble breathing when Faolan said, "Let's take a moment to calm down," and he waited to say it while he did it. When I look at Faolan, who is still excited to put his life at risk for this game, I can't help but give myself a small smile.
When I started walking toward him and said, "Let's go to the palace," he just looked at me.
I kept talking about going to the palace as I got closer to him.
When he said, "That's not outside our plan," I couldn't help but laugh. I had no choice but to do it.
I turned around to face him and said, "I know it's not in our plan, but we'll make one right now." I gave him a pen and paper.
I said, "I know it's not in our plan, but we'll plan it right now."
I went on to say, "I know it's not in our plan, but that's because we'll plan it right now."
As I got closer to him and told him about my plan, he showed his approval by nodding his head. Then, I asked Lia, Honi, and Freki to help us in this situation.
When he turned to me and said, "Just make sure the three girls don't get hurt this time,"
I promised him and myself that I would keep my promise and make sure they didn't get hurt. I have decided that I will never again hurt the people closest to me or put them in danger by doing something bad.
"I'm not making this promise to you, but to myself."

"Are you sure Asena? Are you going to come along with us?" Freki said that was something in her life that made her very happy right now.
First, she looked at Honi and Lia while clapping her hands, and then she looked back at them. She gave a big sigh, and after a moment, she turned back to me. Lia is the only one who knows about my plan right now.
"Be careful," she whispered in my ear as she gently took my hand and moved close to my ear. She looked at me and gently touched my hands as she talked to me. In answer, I gave her a smile.
She looked me in the eye and said, "I know what you want to know and why you want to know it."
"Let's go?" We started by telling each of them that one phrase, and then we went into the palace.
My goal for the day is to see the plan through to its end, which requires me to travel all over the community while carrying a lot of supplies.
"Do you have any ideas, Asena, about where we should go first?" Lia asked me while we were still dressed, and I just stared at her like she was a professional pastry chef.
I told her, "Let's sell these treats first before walking to the royal entrance," and she nodded her head to show that she agreed with me.
When I told them about it, I said, "I'm sure they'll think something is up if they find out we're not doing this." While we do this, we can still see the palace in the distance from our tribe's tents.
While I was walking to the royal gate to sell them, Lia's two younger sisters sold them in a beautiful and smart way. While I was walking to the gate, they ran out of tickets.
I told her, "Lia, I'll do it right now," and then I moved out of their way so she could distract them from looking for me.
So they wouldn't look for me, so I did this. I told her that I would do it right away. I'm standing at the palace's front door right now, and after a long sigh, I've started making plans for how to handle this situation.
"Hello, would you like some freshly baked cookies?" I started selling them with a weak, feminine voice, and as a direct result, all of the security guards are now under my charge.
"Does that sound right? How much does it cost to buy this?"
They are beginning to bite on the hook I've set for them. I tried to look at them carefully so I could say, "This is only $2 per piece, and if you want any, it's a great deal," but I was so emotional that I couldn't even look at them right. I do this not only to keep myself safe but also because I don't want them to see my face for that long.
She told him, "Okay, we'll buy, but you'll have to wait for us."
The guard told me with a smile, "We're going to get our money in our rooms." He even held my hand for a second, but I pulled it away and smiled at him and his partner.
He said, "We're going to get our money from our rooms." We were told by security that we would have to go back to our rooms to get our money.
Before they left the palace, I turned to look at them and said, "Yes, I'll wait for you here."
Then I saw them walk away from the building where they were standing. As soon as I saw that they had all gone, I ran across the border and straight into the palace.
As soon as I said, "Finally, I'm here," I started looking for chances to listen in on conversations wherever I could. When I saw that two soldiers were coming my way, I ran away quickly and hid.
“The Game master has already thought of everything, so we don't have to worry about anything. They have decided that those three people will be killed no matter what happens at the end of the tournament. No matter how well they do or how well they fail, they will all die in the same place.”
When I heard those words for the first time, I noticed that my heart was beating a lot faster than usual.
