Book 1 - Chapter 14
I run straight for the man in the middle of the three who is being shot with an arrow.
"Now let's find out who you are," I said to the man who was struggling to stay alive and gasping for air.
"Let's find out who you are now."
“N-no! This just can't be right! I couldn't help but stare at him, and I wanted to touch his face so badly I could hardly stand it.
As blood drips from his mouth, I feel bad, and the tears that have been building up in my eyes are about to start falling down my cheeks in the next blink of an eye.
“F-faolan?” I asked him, but all he did was look at me.
“F-faolan!” I started yelling his name, and I knew that any second now, he wouldn't be able to live his life anymore because of the fart stuck in his neck, and it would be my fault.
"Why the hell do you have to be it?" I ended up screaming because I didn't know what to do. I can't stand here and look at what I've done any longer. I felt like I stabbed my own heart.
Even though I'm looking at him and telling him, "Don't tell me you're going to die," he keeps sucking for air while I watch.
"No! Faolan!” I cried my heart out and begged you to keep fighting for it.
“No-no!!!” I said, as his eyes were focusing on me. I can't help but be interested as I watch it turn red.
I know for sure that Faolan's eyes have never been red before, but here I am, staring at him with my own eyes totally empty.
He smiled at me and told me, "Asena, I never thought you could do something like this to me."
"I never thought you could hurt me like this."
When he asked me, "Why do you pick on me out of everyone here?" he started bragging about things he would never do to me.
I couldn't help but wonder what was going on as I stood there and looked at him. At this point, I'm not sure what's going on. He said something that made me wonder more, and up until then, a lot of my thoughts had been digging deeper piece by piece. I'm not sure what the right thing to say is, but he said something that made me want to find out more.
"Asena, I thought you were in love with me. Why did you do this? Why did you plan me out?" he asked, and as I looked into his fiery red eyes, he asked again, "Why did you plan me out?"
My eyes started to turn emerald green, which made him look away, and I gave him a smirk.
I said, "Lia, Honi, and Freki," which made him look at me for a second before turning his head away again.
"How did they think of those names?" I told myself that it proved that I had been right the whole time.
I told him, "I killed all of your sisters," which made him look at me with eagerness, anger, and the desire to kill me as well.
"Why did you do that! Why did you kill them, too?' He sputtered for air, which made him cough, and I could see that his lips were turning white right then.
I sat down next to him and saw how much pain he was in right now. I told him, "Act like how to be a Faolan."
While looking at him blankly and staring into his eyes to get him to stop mumbling. "Stop bothering me. Stop doing things that will show you where I'm weak," I told him with a smile he'll never forget, and I left the room.
When he laughs so loudly that it makes me feel uneasy, I stand up, move away, and turn around. I'll give a long sigh when he finally speaks, then keep walking until he says something.
"How did you know that this wasn't what you were looking for?"
When he asked me, I turned around to face him and stared at the smile that was slowly coming on my face. It's a thing that the player made by doing things in the game. I didn't know that this was part of the plan, so I have to thank my gut for pointing me in the right direction even though I briefly ignored it.
"Faolan, that is not at all how you should act.”
I told him, "You're not who you say you are, and you can't act like you are." He laughed.
"Faolan's eyes aren't turning red, and Faolan's anger has never, not even once, boiled over like that."
After hearing what I had to say, I thought about myself again. "Faolan never, ever thinks of me as his competition, and he would die for me," I told him.
I looked at him again when he said, "Uh, so that's why he can't kill me earlier."
"Asena, I know you are the cruel one who made all of this happen. You are far too acquisitive!” When he said it, I laughed, groaned, and held my bow and arrows with such a tight grip for a second.
I went in front of him while he was in pain on the tree, where he was kneeling and trying to save himself by not being able to move his body so that the arrow would only go in one direction.
I told him, "That's not being greedy; that's being cold-hearted."
"Don't try to trick me, but Faolan didn't have any sisters!" I told him that, and then, without feeling sorry for him, I took the arrow out of his neck, which was making him scream in pain.
I can see that he is in pain and that blood is dripping from his body. He is also starting to look like a wolf, even though he is still a person.
He yelled, "Shut your motherfucking mouth!"
Then I turned away from him and left. I turned away from him while he was being punished for what he did.
I told myself, "You can't trick me," as I kept looking for a way to get out of this huge forest that looked exactly the same when I felt like I was in the middle of it.
It looks like a place where all the trees are close together and there is a big circle of orange dried leaves on the ground. I stood in the middle of the room and looked in every direction.
Where do you think I should go? I have no idea. What direction is south around here? Because it is in the shape of a circle, it is hard to tell them apart.
As I looked at the trees on my right, I said, "Fuck this, it's so hard to decide where to go," and kept walking. The green marks made me want to find out more about it without really going there.
"What does that mean exactly?"
Again, my emerald eyes turned, and it made me angry to see a man's footstep heading out of that way with someone behind him. I said my eyes were moving again, which made me mad. I started by drawing my bow and aiming at the person in the very back of the room.
“Ugh!” When someone heard the wolf I was looking for, they ran towards me while gasping for air. I could hear the wolf howling.
"Asena!" he yelled as he looked at his back and then at the dead wolf on the ground.
Still, I'm not going to let anyone trick me here. I know I can't trust anyone else in this area right now because I'm still holding my bow and arrows. I won't stop pointing my bow at him, even if he looks at me and looks right into my eyes.
He said, "Asena, this is Faolan," but I could only laugh.
When I was about to shoot that man with my arrow, I said some things that made him realize what I was about to do.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!" I yelled as I threw away the arrow that was pointed at him.Download Novelah App
