I heard that familiar voice that seems like that of Austin.
I quickly hid my face and moved a little bit away from him.
"I will pay extra money for the book and still return it" He said.
I never knew that he reads novel too and come to small libraries like this.
"But sir, I asked for the book first and am a regular customer."I said while covering my face with a book.
"Who's this?"Austin asked.
"She's..." Mr Jim said.
I immediately cut him off,"I am Laura!"
"Why are you covering your face then, do you know me?"Austin asked. He tries to drag the book off my face.
"I have conjunctivitis!"I said almost immediately.
"Huh, you should have worn glasses instead"He said, "pls sir this is some money, can I have the book."
I peeped through the book and noticed that Mr Jim had already given him the book.
I quickly snatch it from him, "first come, first serve"
"What are you doing, Miss Laura?"He asked as he tries to drag the book from me.
"I paid for that book"He screamed loudly.
Mr Jim just stood by his counter watching us.
I ran into the biggest room in the shop but he somehow cut up with me. He dragged my cloth, I loses balance and was about falling when he quickly caught me.
His left hand was on my waist while the other one held the book tight.
My hands held his neck tightly, our face almost touching especially the lips.
He stayed still for sometime, I can't believe that am finally in the hands of my crush.
"What's happening here?"Mr Jim intruded the moment.

I can't believe what's happening, why does this moment seem so familiar.
Why does it seem like I have held this body before?. And she smells familiar too.
She smells like the new girl in our school, but she is ugly while Havel is beautiful, with makeup. I wonder how she'll look without those?
"What's happening here?"The librarian asked.
I quickly dropped her. She landed on her back.
"Hey!, Can't you handle someone with care!"She screamed.
She's kind of beautiful if she doesn't have that much pimples. And her shape, wow!.
"Come here on Monday evening for your book, I will return it when am done"I said to her. She just stood like a tree not saying anything.
I don't know why I wanted her to come again but I have a feeling like I know her from somewhere.
"Thank you sir"I bowed to the librarian, "I will be coming here more often"
"Okay"He replied.
I walked out of the shop feeling proud of what I just did😏.

My heart skipped for an hour. Thank God he did not recognize me.
I greeted me Jim goodnight even when I was annoyed about the book.
I sluggishly walked home.
*MONDAY MORNING*
I woke up, had my bath, wear my make up, ate breakfast, had a fight with my brother,then prepared to go to school.
"Am going mum!"I announced
"Okay, learn well"My mum said.
I opened the gate and was surprised to find Ray patiently waiting for me.
"What I you doing here?"I asked.
"I came to take you to school"He replied with a smile.
"How did you know my house?"I asked
"U told me that your house and your mum's restaurant are close. So I came here hoping this is ur house. I guessed right."He replied.
I chuckled, "okay, let's go then."
Just then my mum came out, "Havel you forgot your water."
"Mum, thanks"I said and collect the water from her.
"Wow, mister Ray, why are you here?, You both knows each other just in a night?"My mum asked. She already seem to like him.
"Mum we are already late for school."I said.
"Okay, why don't you come tomorrow for breakfast, for free"My mum suggested.
"Mum!, He has parents too"I said.
"Okay ma'am, I will since I have no one to worry about me"He said.
"What?!"I screamed. Is this guy lying right now? Or is joking?.
"Good, you can go now, be careful"My mum said. She is acting all nice now to Ray. He has no idea what her other side is like.
"Thank you ma'am"Ray said.
We bid my mum goodbye and left for school.
"Are you going to come and pick me everyday now?"I asked. I never knew our relationship have reached that level.
"Yes, if that's what you want"He said.
I didn't want to involve myself in a love triangle since Megan is in love with him.
And what transpired between Austin and I was still fresh in my head.
I don't know how I'll face him now.😞
"Yes, that will be nice but I don't want people to think that we are so close"I said.
"We can tell them that we stay in the same neighborhood, it's true, my home is not far from yours"He said.
"Okay"I said.

Austin walked into the class looking as handsome as ever in his sportswear.
I quickly rushed and hug him. He pushes me away which was unusual.
"Baby, what's the problem?"I asked.
"Nothing, let's just end this awful relationship" He said.
"What?, Am the only beautiful girl in this whole school"I said with pride.
"I am interested in someone new, someone more beautiful than you, you are beginning to pi.ss me off"He said and walked away.
Just the Havel walked into the class with Ray.
I knew it will be that wre..nch.

I walked into the class with Ray.
"Good morning class"I greeted.
"Morning"Some replied me while some ignored.
Janice walked up to me, "so it's you"
"Me what?"I said looking surprised at her words.
"You have decided to get the whole boys on you right? There is group of boys I'm this school that won't be talking about Havel. Now you've succeeded in destroying my relationship." She said.
"Janice"I called softly. I swear I had no idea what was going on.
"Who knows what is behind those make up, who knows if you are so ugly that you put this much makeup on your face or mabe you got surgery or is it enlargement and those chest and boobs of yours look so fake"She kept talking.
I just stood looking so lame. I was already teary and anymore words will make me cry.
"Janice stop!"Ray said angrily.
"Janice!"Austin shouted, "have you gone nu.t?, Or are you cra.zy. one more word from you and your life is gone"Austin said in a boss like tone.
