Part 11

Wisdom was snoring loudly and rolled over from one side of the bed to the other. He was having a nightmare and woke up suddenly only to see someone sitting on his bed with earmuffs. He thought he had seen a ghost and yelled as he sat up.
"Shhh!", Careen signalled to him to stop making noise.
"Huh?", Wisdom rubbed his eyes with his hands rigorously and opened them only to realize it was Careen sitting on his bed all along. "You scared me!", he said to her.
"It's past 7am. Let's get to work", she responded. She got up and went to the door, she was already dressed in her chef uniform.
"But I haven't yet dressed up...I haven't even brushed my teeth", he got surprised with her.
"Then meet me in our kitchen when you're done with the needful", she replied and went out.
"I better hurry up", he said to himself and jumped down from the bed. He ran quickly to the bathroom. He opened the door and turned back because his mobile phone was ringing. I'll call the person later", he said and turned to go back to the bathroom. He banged his head on the wall as he turned. He felt a lot of pain and rubbed the affected area with his palm. "Darn it!", he ran into the bathroom.

The preparations for the anniversary celebration had already begun. The kitchen was really a busy place. A lot of meals were being prepared simultaneously. The decorators were also another set of people that were as busy as bees, making sure the hotel was decorated in a spectacular fashion .
The receptionist was also another busy figure. With the large amount of guests that were to attend the event rolling in, she had to attend to all of them and show them the hall the event was to take place in.
Careen on her own part was taking down notes in her jotter of what your various Spanish guests would like to have for breakfast that morning. She went to each of their apartments asking them what they wanted. They would tell her and she would jot it down.
She was heading for the apartment of the last one to find out what he wanted to eat. She got into a lift alone and set it to stop at the fifth floor.
"Good morning Careen", Sarah greeted over the earpiece.
"Good morning Careen", Nicholas greeted also.
"Good morning mates. What's popping?", Careen replied.
Both Nicholas and Sarah heard the computer lab door being opened and turned to see who it was. It was the Chief Constable. "Good morning Sir", they greeted in unison.
"Any updates about the mission?", he minced over to them.
"We're waiting for Careen to give us the updates", Nicholas replied.
"Careen...what's going on?", he asked his daughter.
"I want to prepare breakfast for the Spanish guests", she replied.
"You haven't yet found the security system control room?", Nicholas inquired of her.
"Uhmmm...", she hesitated, "I haven't found out where the room is", she said.
"We need to know what's happening in the hotel and its premises especially on days like this. We tried hacking it again but the person keeps on ruining everything", Sarah gave out a niggle.
"I'm busy right now, I promise to find out where the room is once I ask the last guest what he wants for breakfast", Careen assured her.
"No updates", her Dad shook his head in disappointment. "I have better things to attend to then", he left them and walked out of the laboratory.
"I hope you'll find out where that control room is very soon", Nicholas doubted her.
"Just give me some minutes...", she said. The lift opened but she did not realize it. The people waiting outside were startled to see someone talking to herself. "...you know I always keep my promises", she giggled and turned to her side, only to see a group of people watching her in surprise.
She kept quiet and walked out of the lift, not responding to what her colleagues were saying to her over the earpiece, making them get worried.
After walking away from the people, with some distance between them, she turned back and saw they were still looking at her weirdly. "That was actually a song I was singing you all", she lied an obvious lie to them.
"...you know I always keep my promises", she chanted repeatedly for some time, behaving dramatic, walking backwards further away from them slowly. "It's a song released by, you know...", she thought for a while, "Yes! By an artiste. It was released by an artiste", she said, facing her front and mincing off to the guest's room.

Mr Okechukwu entered the hotel building and walked straight to the receptionist's office. He was dressed in a black, up and down Native attire, complemented by a red Igbo cap, walking stick in his hand and an eagle feather attached to the cap.
"Good afternoon Professor", the receptionist welcomed him with a beautiful smile.
"Wait!", he became delighted, "You know I'm a Professor?!", he asked in a childish manner.
"Yes Sir", she wore an awkward smile because of his weird behaviour.
"I knew Professors can also be famous in a way", he sighed, feeling happy.
"That's great news", she said obscurely, "That's the hall the event is taking place", she pointed at the hall for him to see.
"Ah! Event is not starting now so let me take a stroll round the hotel and meet more people that know me as a Professor", he winked.
"I think calling him Sir would have been way better", she thought.
     "So...Bye dear", he bade her.
She forced out a smile this time and bade him farewell in return. Mr Okechukwu left, walking in an elegant but pompous way. She watched him in wonder as he walked away.

Careen was heading towards the lift after she had taken down note of what the last Spanish guest wanted for breakfast. On her way, she noticed an office that was labelled the Security Control Unit and quickly stopped to have a longer view of it just to be certain.
She quickly informed her colleagues over the earpiece;"Guys! I've found the security room." She spoke in a whisper.
"Oh yes! Yes! Yes!", Sarah say up on her chair, "Get in there and distract them", she urged Careen.
"Just like that?", Careen asked in surprise. She then looked around this time to be sure no one was around.
"Is there anything else to do?", questioned Nicholas.
"I can't just barge in and distract them", she responded. Both Nicholas and Sarah chuckled over what she said.
"Careen! This isn't the first mission you're into as a Secret Agent. We know you got this", Sarah replied with a giggle.
"But...", Careen then paused to think over it again. She gave in and sighed;"Fine! I'll know what to do."
"Put on the glasses so we'd know how it'd turn out", Nicholas instructed her. She put on her glasses and they were able to see her view with another laptop close to them.
"Here it goes", she said and opened the door. After she closed the door when she had gone in, she saw only a man sitting on a swivel chair in surprise to see someone in his office. Careen recognized him to be the man that was with the Manager and the chargé d'affaires in the official's apartment. She gasped with surprise.
"What are you doing here?", the man asked her.
Careen took off her shirt and threw it away. "I'm here to distract you", she replied in a luring manner. Nicholas and Sarah saw the shirt thrown away and turned to each other, totally shocked.
"You're serious?", the man asked desperately.
"Let's find out", she replied with a smirk and stuck her tongue out slowly. She catwalked dramatically and slowly towards him.
"That...I don't think is the best way to distract him", Sarah stammered.
"I got this...trust me", replied Careen.
"You got what?", the man got curious.
"I got you baby", she replied, "You want to take off my bra?", she grabbed him by the collar, close to herself. Sarah and Nicholas looked at each other and gasped with shock.
The man made a move to take off Careen's bra but she stopped him, making a sound that meant no. "You need to take off your clothes first", she said.
"Sure", he quickly took off his shirt.
"A girl just came into your office trying to lure you and you gave in?", she thought, looking at him surreptitiously with a grimace.
Her colleagues were intently watching what was going on when Nicholas remembered they had not begun trying to hack into the security system one more time.
He gasped and whispered to Sarah;"You haven't begun hacking into the security system."
"Oh yeah!", she turned her attention to the first laptop.
"Let me help you take off your trousers", Careen gestured. He agreed and stood still, spreading his hands while she unbuckled his belt and brought down his trousers. He raised up his legs one after the other and she took it off completely.
"Come on! Come on!", Sarah watched the process that was loading, already 53% gone, eagerly hoping it would load completely before the man would find out.
The security operator was dressed only in boxers and was about to take it off quickly but Careen stopped him immediately. "Someone could come in at anytime", she said.
He thought about it and knew she was right. "Let me go lock the door", he made a move but Careen intervened.
"Let's use the restroom", she pointed at it.
"If I lock the door, there's no need for that", he replied.
"Locking that door could bring up suspicion but we staying in the restroom, we'd know whenever someone comes in so we could keep quiet. The person would think you went out or maybe in the restroom. If the person calls you, you could tell the person you're in the restroom then he or she would go", she winked at him, "Then we would continue with our...", she smirked at him.
He smiled at her;"You're right! You're really smart."
Careen held his hand and they both went to the restroom door with their clothes in their hands. She opened the door and he went in first. She immediately closed the door and locked it up quickly.
"Hey! Hey! Get me out of here", he shouted and banged the door loudly a few times.
"You guys are done with hacking into the system?", she asked over the earpiece.
     "99...100! Yes!", Sarah exclaimed.
"We've done it Careen", Nicholas replied. Sarah could now see whatever that was going on in the hotel. She clicked on the second room and it covered the entire screen. She saw Careen looking up at the camera and waving at them.
"Yes! We see you there Careen!", she replied feeling so happy.
"That's great", Careen looked round, "I think I need to go prepare breakfast for people", she said and briskly left the room.
"Now we see anything that happens in the corridors and some important offices and rooms...and even the lifts", said Sarah as she searched from place to place trying to find anything suspicious.
"First of all, let's have a view of the ground floor", said Nicholas.
