Authoress POV Dave waited and waited for Oliver to return till it was late at night. By the time Oliver returned, Dave was already asleep. The next morning, Dave wakes up and finds a bunch of bananas right next to him. Right beside it was a note that said: Eat up and meet me outside. Dave ate all the bananas and rested a bit then he comes out of the abandoned building and finds Oliver stretching. Dave POV "What are you doing?" I asked. "What does it look like I'm doing?" Oliver said. "Um... Stretching?" I replied. "Yes." Oliver confirmed. "But what I mean is that why are you doing it?" I asked. "You sure ask a lot of questions. Come here and join me. You'll need it for today's activity." Oliver said. "What activity?" I asked. "Shush. Join me now or just forget about it." Oliver replied. "Fine, I'll join in. But this doesn't mean you won't explain to me later." I said. We both did some stretching and exercise. Soon we were both done. "Okay. Here we go. Follow me." Oliver said. "You still haven't told me what this is all about." I said. "Stop complaining. I'll tell you once we are there." Oliver said. I had no other choice but to follow him blindly. We reached a shop at the far end of the road we followed and stopped a little distance away. Oliver dragged me to a corner but I was still confused at what he was doing. "See that shop there?" He asked as he pointed to the shop. "Yes?" I replied. "You are going to get water from there to me." He said. "Okay." I replied and stretched my hand out for some cash. "What's that for?" He asked. "The money for water..." I said, feeling confused. "Is your brain really that slow?" He said. "How do you expect me to be with money?" He added. "No... Don't tell me... You want me to steal it?" I replied. "Of course I want you to steal the water. It's not that difficult." He said. "Didn't you say experience is needed?" I asked. "Yeah, I did. So?" He replied. "Then why are you sending me to do it?" I asked. "I don't have any experience." I added. "Exactly. That's why we are here. It's so you can get some experience." He replied. "I don't think I can do this. Don't you remember what happened the last time?" I asked. "That's all in the past now Dave. You can just keep trying. Experience doesn't come easy." Oliver said. "Okay... I'll try." I replied "But you have to go first." I added. "Great! That's the spirit!" He said happily. "Now watch me and do the same." He said. Oliver moves to the shop from beside it and he passed it. "What's he doing?" I thought and continued to watch him. He turned around and this time he swiped the water with immediate effect into his big pocket while coming towards me from the shop. The shop owner didn't even notice a thing. It was almost like some sort of magic trick. Oliver finally reached where I stood. "Ta da!" He said. "Now it's your turn." He added. "Now hold on just a minute. That was so fast. And how come the shop owner didn't catch you?" I asked. "Dave Dave Dave. You ask too many questions. You know what? I will tell you the secret." He said. "I'm listening." I replied. "All you have to do is to make sure that the person is busy with something before you take what you want." He replied. "Really? But at the other shop everyone there was busy with something." I said. "Yes. But you made one mistake." He said. "And what's that?" I asked. "You were too slow in making your move. How do you expect the shop owner not to catch you?" He replied. "Hm. You've got a point t there." I said. "Oh and one last thing." He said. "What?" I asked. "Do not and I repeat, do not make eye contact." He said. "But why? How am I supposed to know when he is looking at me or not?" I asked. "Why do you think I passed the shop in the first place?" He asked. "I don't know." I replied. "I only passed so I could have a better view of it. You know? Like, what the seller is doing, where the water is, and which of the bottled water is in a better position to be swiped." He explained. "This is a lot to take in." I said. "Don't over think it. Just go ahead and do it. Just remember not to make direct eye contact. It would attract too much attention." He said. "Okay. Here I go." I said. "Do it quickly." Oliver said. "Okay." I replied. I went straight to the shop, from the side of course. I passed it, making sure to get every detail of the shop and which water to take too. Even the shop owner was busy with something but I made sure not to make direct eye contact. Here was my big moment. After getting just a bit distant from the shop, I turned back again. I controlled myself from shaking and being too obvious. I got closer and closer to the water. My head was sweating and so was the rest of my body. I swiped the water from its original position and put it in my shirt. Yes! I finally did it! I did it and I wasn't caught! I tried as much as possible not to get the shop owner's attention and I also tried to walk in exactly the same kind of speed I had used right from the beginning. I was so close to success but then I felt a hand grab my shoulder very tightly. I tried so much to keep my cool. The face I saw when I finally turned around shocked me. I felt my eyes get hot but I tried my best to hold in the tears. "I can see you are not ready to change." The man said. I can't believe I got caught again. And by the same man from who's shop I had tried to steal bread.
