Chapter 28

“Milady?” Kath called my attention. I looked at her and smiled.
“Sit at the front, Kath.” I said, more sounded like a command. She nodded to agree while looking at me with confuse. Well, I was more than confused on her acts.
I need not to worry about her because she was wearing thick clothes and the coachmen’s seat has a roof. The seat infront could fit four persons with the size of a matured man.
I sat properly and we departed because we were already late. We had reservation with the La Preinte Botique for our costume fitting.
Late or not, the owner could not do anything with us. They did not even have a nerve to complain if we suddenly cancel the reservation because the owner would surely let it pass since Dad was her friend.
When we arrived at the Capital, I could not hide my excitement. I was seeing all the old establishments that gives me a calm feeling. I like this old structures that gives off familiarity compare to the new establishments in my past where they only gave me pressures.
We ate breakfast at Del Constine before going straight to the botique.
“Oh my! Here you are Duke Zachrono!” Mrs. Creld exclaimed and welcomed us with open arms. I wandered my eyes on the whole place. This establishment was not yet developed like the others. After 4 or 5 years, this botique would be infamous where you would need to make a reservation 3 months prior before they take your measurement. But right now, it was just an ordinary botique like others.
“And the Young Masters are also –“ she looked at pur direction but she paused after seeing me.
“Oh, the Young Lady is also here. I apologize for not noticing Milady.” She apologized and bowed infront of us. I smiled at her and also bowed elegantly that startled her.
“What a fine daughter you have, Duke!” she complimented happily to my father. Dad had a smug look on his face and when my eyes landed on my brothers, I also saw my brothers with a proud smile crept on their lips even Millian has this expression. We proceeded with the measurements but I was separated from them because the botique have different measurement rooms for men and women.
“Please wait here Milady.” The lady who took me in this room said while smiling. I nodded my head and sat on the couch placed in the corner. They also gave me tea and macaroons while waiting in the room.
After several minutes of waiting, the door flung open that made my head turned in that direction. I was surprised when I saw who entered the room, the owner of the botique -Madame Creld herself with her assistant.
She happily clasped her hands while walking towarsds me.
“Let’s start, Milady, shall we?”she asked smiling and she was too bright to refuse. Her assistant took the tape measure from her tools and gave it to Madame Creld.
“You are the one whowould take my measurement, Mrs. Creld?” I asked confused.
“Hoho. You are right, Milady. If you would let me do the honor~.” She said in a sing song manner. I could trace her overwhelming happiness just from her voice. I smiled back at her and gave my thanks.
Madame Creld was a kind and joyful person. She also talked a lot while taking my measurements and her assistant was taking down the notes. I never get bored while standing straight with my arms wide spread on my both side because of her.
After taking my measures, they excused themselves for a moment and gave me a new tea for the first one has gone cold without drinking it.
While waiting, I wandered inside the room. There were few maniquins inside the room wearing dresses. The dresses were all beautiful! No wonder why, they would become the most well-known botique in the Empire.
I was about to touch the lace of the red dress when I heard something fell and broke. I jolted in surprise and looked behind me. I see, it was from the outside.
“Look what have you done!” I heard a familiar child shouted in an annoyed tone from the outside of the room I was in.
Uh-huh? This also happened in the past, the only difference was I did not go out in the past. But now…
I went out of the room to look what was happening. Same face, same attitude.
I sighed. I went back time but his attitude was still the same. What should I expect?
“Argh! I do not care if you are a Prince! You are not the one who will be crowned anyway!” I heard what the Duke’s son told to the person he was talking to right after I opened the door.
“…” the other just looked at him boredly and did not say anything. The two of them looked at me in chorus after I opened the door.
I looked back at the both of them with astonishment. I even tilted my head to the left and my eyes stopped at one of the Emperor’s son who was just a year older than me before looking at the Duke’s son who was two years older.
“And who are you?” asked by the Duke’s son in a snobbish way.
I smiled at him and I immediately saw how he blushed but…
“You are ruining the moment of my peace. You are loud.” I told to the Duke’s son coldly with a smile on my face. Take that.
His eyes widened in my remark and stepped back as if I stabbed him with a knife. But still, I am not contented.
“You are annoying.” I added, still smiling.
“And you are ugly.” I told him before his eyes welled up in teard. Obviously, trying to stop his self from crying because he even bit his lower lip.
The expression on his face was unidentifiable and laughable. He raised his trembling hand and pointed his fingers at me.
“Y-you… You… Uwaaaaahhhh! Daaaadddddyyyy!” he shouted and ran away while crying out loud. We only followed him with our eyes whilst the people he passed were startled with his manners. Sigaw nito at tumakbo palayo sa amin habang pumapalahaw ng iyak. That was embarassing for a noble.
I smiled awkwardly to myself when I realized something. Maybe, I have been too harsh on him.
He was Grent, my one and only true friend that I only met when I turned six so obviously, we met now in an unexpected and earlier time than the past. He was a true friend but a great teaser and immatured man.
He was also naive who did not know how to read the room but whenever I was in trouble in the past, he was always on my rescue and that was what I liked about him.
What I have said about him being loud and annoying were the words I was dying to tell him in the past but I did not had the chance. But the ‘ugly’ word was just an addition, I did not meant it, seriously. I just wanted to annoy him but I did not expected that hewould cry from a simple mock.
Somehow, I felt good seeing him cry. I would count that as my revenge for always teasing me in the past.
I turned my head on the Prince who only have a meter away from me.
I clasped the end of my dress and bowed at him perfectly while smiling.
“I greet His Highness, the third Prince.” I greeted before I stood up straight. I was confused when I saw how badly he wanted to step back and he even made this act of placing the back of his hand infront of his mouth.
His ears turned red and I realized that he must be feeling hot on the corridor’s temperature because of the heat stones hanging on the walls.
“Are you okay, Your Highness?” I asked worriedly to the kid -I mean the Prince. Stupid. I am younger tham him and if we would be talking about the appearance, he was older than me. I should not call him ‘kid,’ it may backfire to me.
“I-I am fine.” He stuttered before running off in the other direction without a word. Uhh… Okay? What was that? It suddenly became peaceful.
Just then, I realized that no fights happened between the two. I prevented it? Oh, wow. Just wow. I did it without knowing.
