Don't push me away

They both sat there, staring right into each other's eyes. Aiden's eyes moved to her lips as he traced his thumb across her face, down to her lips. Rose began to race as he leaned towards her lips. Before his lips could touch hers, she pushed him away.
“Erm... I'm tired, where's the room?" She stood up and walked away. Aiden sighed before standing up and walking towards her. When he stood close to her, she reflexively moved backwards. He noticed but decided to let it go. He led her into the room, she thanked and was about to walk away from him when he grabbed her and pressed her against the door. Her eyes widened.
“Wh... What do you think you're doing?" She stuttered.
“Don't push me away like last time. If you keep pushing me away, how am I supposed to help you forget?" He whispered to her. She shivered before raising her eyes towards his.
“I'm not pushing you away but whatever is going on between us is very new to me and I tend to run away from things I'm not certain of" She said in one breath. Aiden smiled at her as he caressed her face. She stared at him in confusion.
“I'm happy you are comfortable enough with me to share what you are feeling and what you're thinking about. I remember when you first came with your brother to the house, you were so reserved and quiet, we didn't really get along that much but now, you have changed so much" Aiden said softly. She smiled at him.
“It's all because of you, I don't even know why but after we talked that night, I felt like I could be real with you and that's very surprising because I hate all the men in my life except Liam of course" Rose confessed.
“If you don't hate me then, what do you feel about me?" Aiden murmured.
“I don't.... I don't know but I just don't hate you," She confessed. Aiden smiled at her before embracing her.
“I'll help you find out" He whispered.
After having her bathe, Rose felt more tired than she had ever been in her life. She laid down on the bed and closed her eyes. She froze when she felt Aiden's arms around her waist.
“What are you doing?"She questioned as she tried to pry his arms off her waist but that just made him tighten them.
“Shhh... Go to sleep" He whispered in her ear.
“A real gentleman is supposed to suggest sleeping on the couch or something but you just jumped on the bed" Rose teased. Aiden chuckled.
“I Never said I was a gentleman and it's all part of the process of helping you forget. Sleep now" He urged her. Rose turned around in his arms and snuggled his chest. Aiden froze for a while but then tightened his arms around her and breathed out a sigh of contentment. Rose finally told herself that she was going to push him away ever again and was going to live in the moment.
“Okay students, today is going to be one of those days where we have a general activity," Mr Jones told them.
“It better be something fun" Claire whispered to Andrea.
“Today, you guys are going to split into two groups consisting of each gender and we are going to have a round of dodgeball," Mr Jones announced. All the students collectively groaned. Rose tapped Andrea.
“What kind of activity is that?"
“A very useless one.... It's not even a fun activity, it's more like a punishment because I always get hit with a ball and it hurts" Andrea grumbled.
“Mr Jones, We are supposed to be on a vacation and having fun activities not dodgeball" Claire blurted out.
“This is like a warm up activity for what's to come or do you prefer running?" Mr Jones smiled when no one said anything else.
“Come with me, this resort has a basketball field, we'll play there" Me Jones walked ahead of them in order for them to follow him.
“Ugh... Why don't we just play basketball then and now, we have to walk all the way there too? So much for a vacation" Dylan grumbled. Aiden joined his hands with Rose and they walked. She raised her head to look at him, He smiled at her making her blush. She bowed down her head to hide her blush but tightened her Palm around his.
Claire stopped and pointed at their conjoined hands for Andrea to see. Andrea's eyes widened, she tapped Steven who was next to her and he tapped Dylan. They all stared at the love birds who didn't even seem to notice their friends weren't by their sides.
“It seems they are making progress" Dylan voiced out. Andrea and Claire squealed.
“This is the only good thing that has happened on this vacation so far" Andrea mumbled. They all nodded in agreement.
“So, have you guys decided your teams and teammates?" Mr Jones asked as they reached the Field. The students went about choosing their teams. Most of the basketball players stayed with Aiden while some went with Grey. Andrea, Claire, Rose, Steven and Dylan were with Aiden. Stella ran up to Aiden.
“Can I be on your team?" She pouted.
“No, we're full" Rose found herself saying. Her eyes widened when she noticed she said it out loud. Aiden chuckled while Stella glared at her.
“I wasn't talking to you, was I?" Stella almost yelled.
“If she says it's full that means it's full" Aiden told Stella. He grabbed Rose's hand and led her to the other side of the field. Claire and Andrea tried so hard not to laugh in Stella's face as they walked behind Rose and Aiden. Stella huffed and walked towards Grey's team. Grey glared at Aiden.
“Alright, Eleven players from each team to the middle of the team while the rest, wait for your turn" Mr Jones instructed. Aiden went with the rest of the basketball team and some boys.
“You all should know how the game works by now but I'm still going to explain. If the ball touches you, you're out" Mr Jones said. The two teams stood opposite each other. Grey glared at Aiden while Aiden had a smug look on his face.
“START!!"....
