Chapter 50: Your father
Stephanie held Sebastian’s hand tightly as he drove down the highway. They were on their way to a beach at Santa Monica. It was exactly a week they talked to Robbie and Danielle about going on a vacation. They had told them that they wouldn’t be able to leave New York City because of their work, so they couldn’t join them. Stephanie and Sebastian understood them quite well and told them they had gotten back together, and they were both happy for them. Sebastian drove closer to the Palisades Park, and Stephanie began to feed her eyes with the beauty of the ocean. “It is so beautiful,” She muttered, and Sebastian smiled as he parked the car. . “Of course it is. A beautiful place for a beautiful woman.” Stephanie looked at him and chuckled. She leaned closer to him and planted a kiss on his nose. “Thank you for bringing me here.” Her plump lips widened in an affectionate smile. “No, thank you for coming here with me. If not for you, I wouldn’t have thought of coming here.” Stephanie lowered her head and her cheeks flushed slightly. “Let’s go down, shall we?” She asked, and he bounced his head. They both alighted and headed to the hotel that was not so far from the park. They held hands and kept stealing glances of each other, smiling and blushing. They walked up to the receptionist and when he saw them approaching, he stood up with a broad smile. “Hello, Good day, sir and ma’am.” He gave a slight bow and the cute couples did the same. “Good day. We’d love to book a room. We have yet to make a reservation,” Sebastian uttered. “Please give me a minute to check our system.” The receptionist went on to check the computer in front of him and raised his head after a few minutes. “Room 47, 203, 250 are available, sir. Which one of them would you like?” “I would like the best out of those three,” He responded, and Stephanie smiled. “Room 250 on the tenth floor would do. How many days of reservation, Sir?” “Errmm… how many days, babe?” He looked at Stephanie, and she clasped her lips, thinking. “Two days should do. We need to get back to the company as soon as we can, remember?” She asked, and he bounced his head. “Two days.” Sebastian looked at the receptionist and he bounced his head. “That makes it $674, sir.” “Sure.” Sebastian pulled out his credit card and stretched it forward. He made the payment in no time and was given the key to Room 250. They headed to the elevator and pressed the button. They stood back and waited for it to open up. It finally opened and before they could step forward, a little boy wearing a swimming suit ran out of the elevator, almost pushing Stephanie out of the way. “Liam! Stop running!” A woman also stormed out of the elevator, running after him. She didn’t bother to look at those that stood in front of the elevator. Her eyes were fixed on her child. Stephanie and Sebastian hurriedly moved away from the way, so that she wouldn’t collide with them. Sebastian furrowed his brows when he saw the side view of this woman. She looked quite familiar to him. He wanted to recall where he had known her but she was too fast for him to look at her face well. “Hey, Sebastian. Let’s go.” Stephanie noticed he was lost staring at the woman that was running out of sight. He turned to look at Stephanie and smiled faintly. “He didn’t hit you, right?” He asked as they stepped into the elevator. “No, he didn’t. He almost, but I quickly moved away. You seemed lost when you looked at that woman. Do you know her?” Sebastian shook his head and heaved a sigh. “I don’t think so. She looked familiar, but I can’t recall anything.” Stephanie nodded and held his hand again. She rested her head on his shoulder, and they both waited to get to the tenth floor. Getting to the tenth floor, they stepped out of the elevator and began to walk down the hallway, looking for Room 250. They got to the room and entered. “Hmm… This room is super big and beautiful.” Stephanie said excitedly and ran to the large, transparent window. “Wow, I can see the ocean from here! Come and check it out, baby.” Stephanie waved at Sebastian, and he walked to the window too. He smiled as he stared at the ocean. There were children and adults at the banks. Some were relaxing on the sand, some were swimming, and some were surfing. “This is a very beautiful sight indeed.” “I can’t wait to go close to the ocean. Can we go now?” She asked and looked at Sebastian. “Not so fast. Don’t you want to spend time with me a little?” He asked, divulging a seductive look that made shivers run down Stephanie’s spine. “What are you planning?” James moved closer to her and swept her off her feet, lifting her in a bridal style. “Don’t act innocent. You know what I’m talking about.” “But we did it two days ago. It’s been five times we've done it in a week!” “But that five times is just in three days. I need more.” Stephanie let out a loud laugh as he threw her on the bed. She giggled and raised the upper part of her body. Sebastian moved closer to her and took her lips in his, at the same time, getting rid of his clothes. *** They walked out of the hotel, wearing casual outfits. Stephanie wore a bikini with a flowy flower coverup. Sebastian on the other hand wore only yellow swim shorts. It was nighttime and the lights from the hotel made everywhere bright like it was morning. They headed to the bank of the ocean when Stephanie abruptly stopped. Before Sebastian could ask what happened. He saw her remove her slippers and held them in her hand. She began to drag her feet in the tickly beach sand. Sebastian chuckled and did the same thing. Soon, they began to run very close to the waters. When the waves were approaching, they would move away from the banks. “Do you want to swim?” Sebastian asked, and Stephanie’s eyes widened. “No! Not tonight!” “Why? C’mon Babe.” He held her hand and started pulling her into the water. “No!” She yelled with a roar of laughter as she fell into the water. Sebastian laughed and began to splash water on her with his hand. “I didn’t want to get wet!” She screamed. “But you are now! Sorry…” Sebastian teased, and she rolled her eyes. They kept playing in the water, Sebastian went into the water and took a moment before coming up. Stephanie was beginning to fidget. “Hey! Don’t do that again, okay? You scared me:” “I did?” He wiped his face with his hand and looked at Stephanie who had a frown on her face. “I want to stop swimming.” She moved out of the water, and Sebastian followed behind her. He got out of the water, and they heard a child’s voice. “Mom, can I swim too?!” They both looked at where the voice was coming from, and they saw it was the boy that almost ran into them at the elevator. His mother sighed and looked up. She didn’t want him to swim at night, and even told him no one used to swim at night, not until the couples ruined her plans. She moved closer to them with her son. Sebastian’s eyes broadened immediately she got closer, and he saw her face clearly. “Rosabella?” He called out, and the woman’s mouth also fell open. “Sebastian?” She asked in shock. Stephanie looked at Sebastian, waiting for him to introduce the woman to her, but he didn’t. He was too stunned to speak. “Who is this, Mom?” Her son, Liam asked. “This is Sebastian, Son. Your father.”
