Ghost hunting.

The man switched his camera on quickly as he felt something strange behind his back. "As you can see, there's nothing here, right?" and he continued walking. "But rumors say that there's something going on here."
He suddenly stopped for a moment. He felt someone watching him from a distance. "Hello?" he said. "Alright guys, it gets weird as hell here. The temperature plummeted," but before he could finish watching, a lady slammed the table and knocked the laptop off.
She scowled at the man who was viewing an online-sourced horror movie without doing any research. His face turned sour, and when he saw her looking at him, he suddenly replied, "Hey, I'm still watching."
"Have you found anything interesting these past few days, huh, Edward?" she says in anger as she crosses her arms. He handed her the documents he had been gathering for days and said, "Of course I did; now look at this." She raised an eyebrow as she opened the folder and said, "Really? Ghost investigation?" He nodded in agreement.
She folds the folder she's carrying and hits him in the head with it, asking, "Are you really bored and decided that our next topic is all about ghosts that don't exist?"
She raised her voice and glared at him with enraged eyes, saying, "Why can't you find another scoop for us to produce?!" He countered, lowering his head so he wouldn't look her in the eyes. "But ma'am, finding a ghost is the hottest trend right now, which is why, as a writer, I found a place where there are rumors of ghost sightings."
She was holding a document when a man entered the room, shouted, "That's enough," and seized it. "I believe this to be good material." She said angrily, "How come this is good?"
He answered by gesturing to the calendar app on his phone. She looked at the calendar carefully. "Huh?! And what's about the calendar?" she asked. "It's almost that time of the month."
Edward immediately yells out with delight, "Month of the Dead!"
"Correct"
She raised her finger to her chin and replied, "I forgot about that event entirely." She smirked before deciding, "Therefore, it's agreed that we'll look into it. However, make sure the editing is strong and pretty catchy so that everyone can enjoy the film." Edward pressed his hand to his chest and said, "You can count on me!"
"And stop using clickbait," she urged.
The man nodded in response when she asked, "So are we going to look into it?" In an effort to figure out how they would enter a building, Edward racked his head. "We've already got the target place, but the problem is how we get inside."
"Sneak? We don't need to," he said, getting his cup and filling it with hot water. He grinned as he took a drink and said, "I know someone that will allow us to film inside during the night."
She chuckled. "You have a secret admirer or something?" She then said, "And who might this "someone" be?" as she looked at him inquiringly.
"Actually, I just assisted him as a buddy years ago, so whatever you think, that's not it." Edward and her both laugh. "Then it's decided; make sure to contact this friend of yours and give us access." She made a thorough plan. "Edward, make sure our equipment is good and prepare it quickly."
"Yes, ma'am."
-----
They decided to enter journalistic ghost-hunting mode after a few weeks had elapsed. To get a good scoop for their devoted fans and followers, they have been preparing and are finally ready to investigate.
"Hello, Chris," he greets them as they approach one of his colleagues. "This is Samantha and Edward," he says, introducing his buddies. Chris looked at them in astonishment and said, "Hello, but where are the others?" He had assumed that his friend had a team of investigators who would help them with their paranormal investigation.
The three are dressed in fairly informal attire. They merely wore their regular clothing for the day, making no effort to don any special attire.
Chris gave them a curious glance. He reassured his pal, "You don't need to worry about us; we will be OK." He responded, "Well, whatever, you only have five hours to stay inside when the mall is closed, and I already instructed our guards not to accompany you inside the mall so you can do your things properly," before he walked away.
"Alright, let's go inside," she remarked, pointing to the rear door.
The man hauled out a built-in Lego robot with cameras and other censors, then asked, "Edward, do you bring it?" He prepared their devices and examined each one while saying, "Of course."
She applauded the robot, saying, "I totally forgot you're a geek to the bone." He grinned triumphantly and said, 'Hehe'.
On the fourth floor of the mall, they entered the assigned space. He had previously drawn a detailed map of the vicinity and said, "So here's the plan: we're going to use this robot to scan the area first by using this laptop."
It's currently roughly eight o'clock, which is why there are still many people inside the mall. They used this hour to put everything up far earlier and minimize any hitches.
-----
The group of three finally finished their setups when they heard the announcement that the mall would close in 30 minutes: "Thank you for shopping at Ayala Mall; the mall will be closed in 30 minutes."
"We will start filming at 1 a.m.," Samantha said as she entered the smoking designated area close to the social floor at level 4.
11:40pm.
Edward turned on the Lego robot once she gave her the command to do so: "All right." He clutched the controller, skillfully guiding it toward the retail area.
After thirty minutes, they were still unable to observe any unusual activity nearby. She added, keeping an eye on the monitor, "It's been half an hour, and we still couldn't find any." Samantha becomes agitated. He comforts her, saying, "Relax a little; it's too early to get angry." It's still not the devil's hour yet, Edward says as he rotates the Lego robot to the right.
She crossed her arms and clicked her tongue as she lost patients. "If we're going ghost hunting, we should be out there holding the camera, right?"
"Yes, that's correct, but we need to test it with this Lego robot, so we chose to utilize it right away."
Edward suddenly invites them both over to the monitor and says, "Guys, look at this." He motioned to the shadowy figure in the vicinity of the garbage bin and said, "Look. Is this thing genuine, hey, hey?" She pushed his face to move a little and remarked, "Maybe it's simply an effect of lighting or something; it's just an item."
"An item?"
"I don't believe it's an item; look at the black thing like hair that seems to be coiling around her." Edward pointed to the image that surrounds the mysterious shadow figure. "Why did its hair move if it were simply an item, I wondered?"
They looked closely at the image on the screen and found that this shadow was not at all an object. Samantha yells enthusiastically, "Go, go push that robot closer!"
Edward hits the button and mumbles, "Eh?" not understanding why his robot doesn't move at all. She whacked his head and said, "Hey, what are you doing? Move now."
"I'm trying, but my Lego robot doesn't respond at all."
He intervened and made an effort to soothe Samantha. "I think the problem is not in the robot," he stated. Angry, she shouted, "This toy was trash!"
"Look at the shadow; it appears to be staring right at us, and I believe that something was stopping the Lego robot's movements." Realizing this, both of them decided to stop arguing. "Edward, try to move backwards," she instructed, and Edward did that. Backtracking, the Lego robot stopped once more. "Why has it stopped?"
"I think someone is blocking the Lego robot," Edward guessed. "Edward tried to move the camera; let's see who's blocking our way." He pushed the button, and the camera turned 180 degrees, and two sets of legs could be seen on the monitor.
The three of them were startled by this, and Edward quickly reached for the radio and made an attempt to speak with security. He made repeated attempts, but he never received a response. This caused the three of them to experience anxiety and worry. The two men looked at her as she made her proposal. "Hey, we should move and look at that place by ourselves," she stated. "Are you serious?" they both questioned.
She grinned sarcastically at Edward and said, "We're journalists, and this is what we are looking for, right? Ghost content, and you're the one who suggested it."
They are all inside the mall, and since there is a signal booster installed inside, it is practically impossible for them to not have a signal. He pulled out his phone and tried to call someone, but he couldn't get through because his phone had no reception. He then said, "Ok—ok... my God, what should I do?" This leads to uncertainty.
Sam muttered, "Damn, I hope this isn't an emergency," and then she decided to leave the room. She grinned and asked, "Are both of you terrified of a mere non-existent ghost?" before laughing and exiting the room as she opened the door and turned to the two boys.
"You two won't come with me?" The two males looked at each other, briefly debating whether to follow her, but eventually decided to.
