His mother glared at him for a moment longer before lowering her hand. "Fine," she spat. "I deleted the pictures I had on the internet. From now on, I must not see this thing step in my house else death is the next sentence." Helen thundered, as she stormed out of the room. Celine looked on, her eyes wide with shock and gratitude. "Thank you," she said softly. Erickson nodded, his face still expressionless. "Let's go," he cooed, turning to leave. As they walked out of the house together, Celine couldn't help but ask, "Why are you being so nice to me? Your mother despises me." Erickson paused for a moment before answering. "I don't care what my mother thinks," he said. "She's just being picky as always and I'm sure she won't hurt you anymore." Celine smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort from Erickson's words. As they walked down the street together, she felt grateful to have a friend like him, someone who was willing to stand up for her, no matter what. “So where are you heading? I would like you to drop me off?” Erickson said. “No, thanks. I'd rather walk.” Celine said, walking faster but to her surprise, Er, Dickson followed her every step. Celine blushes, “What a caring brother!” she blurted out. “Uhm?” Erickson questioned, he couldn't believe his ears so he wants her to repeat her statement. Her gaze fell to the floor, shyly “Nothing” He walks after her with his hands at his back, he then launches his hand over to hers, and he holds her hand “I'm sure you are thinking about how to raise funds. You can continue working as our maid, I would always protect you.” Celine bites her lips, she disliked being called a maid Erickson'skson statement changed her mindset. A weird smile crept on her face, deceiving herself “Im only going to work there as a maid to find more information about Henry and the men in black, not that I love his presence.” she said inwardly. Her smile and silence spelled something else. “Am I discomforting you?” Erickson asked, he became so concerned about her. With his hands clicking on hers, he could feel his heart cease, he lets go of her with a gasp. Two figures in black moved with deadly grace, their canes whipping through the air as they advanced on Celine and Erickson. Erickson held Celine's arm as they turned away when the attackers appeared out of nowhere, intent on abducting the woman. Erickson wasn't going to let that happen, he walked away with Celine. Lucas ran towards them and grabbed Celine by her hair. “You ingrate! Do you think I would let you flirt with this cute dove?” Lucas yelled his legs got better with an artificial leg joint. Her wince made Erickson'sn'spupils dilate, he turns around with his fist clenched. “Who are you?” Erickson thundered, he punches Lucas in the face, and withdrew Celine from his cruel grip. With fierce determination, he stepped between Celine and the attackers, his fists clenched at his sides. "Get back!" he shouted, his voice ringing out through the deserted street. The attackers hesitated for a moment before lunging forward, their canes flashing in the dim light. “Don't dip your hands into fire, young boy. You would like to burn so close to your father” Lucas chuckles. Erickson creased his brows, wondering about his relationship with his father. He dodged the first strike, then swung his leg in a sweeping arc, knocking one of the men in black off his feet. The second attacker was quick to retaliate, jabbing his cane forward in a thrusting motion. Erickson managed to deflect the blow with his forearm, then launched a counterattack, punching the attacker squarely in the jaw. “I don't want to hurt you guys. We can discuss this, I would give you money if that could change your minds” Erickson said, almost giving up. Meanwhile, Celine had taken advantage of the distraction to grab one of the canes and use it as a weapon. With a fierce cry, she swung the cane in a wide arc, striking the second attacker across the back. “Fuck you, Lucas!” “You know this guy?”Erickson questioned with furrowed brows. “Not really! Let's just get out of here.” Celine requested, subconsciously holding his arm. The men in black were surprised by the ferocity of their resistance, and they hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do next. Lucas grabbed his walk talky as he was on the floor, severely wounded “Get in more men.” He said, standing on both feet. He walked backward with a burst of maniacal laughter. The men in black regrouped, launching a coordinated assault that was both brutal and relentless. Erickson and Celine fought back with all their strength, but it soon became clear that they were outnumbered and outmatched. As the men in black closed in, Erickson knew that they needed to find a way out, and fast. “Oh no!” Erickson grunts. With a fierce determination, he grabbed Celine's hand and pulled her towards the nearest alleyway. They ran as fast as they could, the sound of their pursuers' footsteps echoing behind them. But just as they were about to turn the corner, one of the attackers lunged forward, his cane striking Erickson in the back. Erickson stumbled, then fell to the ground, his breath knocked out of him. “Erickson!” Celine yells, running her arms around him. Celine turned back, her eyes wide with fear, as the attackers closed in. She saw something that filled her with hope: a group of police officers had arrived on the scene, their sirens wailing. With a fierce determination, she ran towards them, “Hey! Help!” she screams for help. The attackers fled, disappearing into the night as the police surrounded Erickson and Celine, their weapons drawn. It was a fierce fight, but Erickson and Celine had emerged victorious. As they lay on the ground, gasping for breath, they knew that they had narrowly escaped a fate that could have been far worse. “Why are they after us?” o matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together.
