It was getting dark
“I will drive us home, besides mum must be damn worried,” Celine announced.
Henry let out a chuckle, laughing with eyes “I wouldn't want to end up in an accident, love.” Celine darted a feigned glare at him.
“You can't force me, your highness.”
A blush appeared on her face, she hopped in the car with a wide smile, the smile she had never had. Her life feels complete with her family whole and healthy but she didn't think of the evil lurking in a corner.
Henry drove, they were only stealing glances at each other in silence.
“Dad, do you treasure every moment we share just like I do?” Celine broke the silence.
“Uh… that's not a question, love. I treasure every second I set my eyes on you. I regret the fact that I didn't see you grow up.”
“Those three days we spent tomorrow felt like 20 years, Dad. You don't have to be sorry.” Celine chimed.
The vehicle halts at his mansion.
They alighted with a smile. Don crinkled his nose when he sighted Celine, he got disgusted by her presence alone and he never accepts her as his blood.
He spat and walked into the house, he was just getting back from a business trip. He heard from his mother on his way home. With enthusiasm, he barges into Erickson's home.
He was shocked when his visage beholds Erickson and Hannah so close. He didn't hesitate to punch his older brother in the face. “You bastard! Why did you allow that worthless woman and daughter into our home?” Don yelled, his veins throbbing through his neck making him look more furious. Don was damn ready for a fight, he clenched his waiting for a violent response.
Erickson was calm, he was a bit embarrassed about being slapped in the presence of his fiancee, Hannah. Yeah, they reconciled. He felt there was no other option than to reconcile with his ex.
Hannah wasn't shocked at Don's actions toward her fiance, she expected more. She watches them gently applying gloss to her dried lips.
“Mum decided to leave and I have no other option than to compile to Dad's rules.” Erickson narrated with a cold voice, he knew he sounded dumb but he ignored that fact.
“Are you insane?” Don thundered. Erickson was about to tell back but he pulled himself together. He feigned a smile “Yes.”
Their fight was becoming annoying to Hannah. “Alright… if you want to fight, please do. I taking a leave babe. ”
Erickson's brow furrowed, his creased brows watch Hannah walk away with attitude. She doesn't seem to care about Erickson or his family. All she ever wanted is more fame.
Before Don could strike another punch at Erickson's face, Celine jumped in between Don and Erickson.
“Brothers, can we please talk this out?” Celine cooed. Don's blood boils when she called him brother, he felt like strangling her at a spot but he kept on holding back the anger.
“You must be sick to think you are someone in my home. You are a fucking nobody!” Don insulted. Celine heart sank, she yearned to give back a heartbreaking statement but she pursed her lips for those words to erupt.
Erickson pushed Celine aside, he flared up and. moved closer to Don with his fist clenched in his balls.
“Watch your mouth, young man. You wouldn't want to see my other side.” Erickson thundered with his hand holding Don's neck.
Don coughed, struggling to breathe and get off Erickson's grip. Celine was screaming at the top of her lungs. “Let him go!”
Finally, Henry came to his room when he heard his daughter scream, heist thought a wild animal is attacking one of them. Well, the wild animal appears to be Erickson strangling his brother, Don for a lady. The lady in question is his first love or should I say, stepsister?
“Erickson!” Henry yelled. Erickson immediately let go of Don at the sight of his father. Don coughs, touching his neck, he inhaled and exhaled deeply before blurting out. “You are all out of your minds. I can't live with murderers” Don said before he ran out of the building.
Celine became sympathetic when she sighted her dad crouching on his seat, out of words. He sighs in deep thought. Caroline knew she was the cause of it all, she became selfish all of a sudden and decided to please herself before others.
“I hope he didn't hurt you?” Erickson asked, he was concerned about her, he grabs her waist looking into her eyes. Celine pushed him off with a bit of discomfort. She walked out of the room, walking to the dining hall.
“Not cool, dude,” Henry said. He also walked to the dining hall. Well, Bianca promised to make dinner so they believed the food would be ready.
Erickson tosses his bed sheet, duvet, and pillows to the ground. “What's going on? I can't stop loving her?” Erickson yelled. He ran to the bathroom in haste to freshen up.
He couldn't concentrate, he could only think of Celine. He came back to his senses when he slipped on the bathroom floor.
“Get your head out of the cloud, Erickson. She can never be yours.” His reflection in the mirror says while he stood on his feet.
He puts on his clothes and rushed to the dining hall, he crinkled his nose in disgust seeing Henry and Bianca kiss. Celine was also uncomfortable but what can she do, she can't stop being happy for her mother.
“Ugh…Gross. ” Erickson said, they knew they had to excuse their parents so they walked to Celine's room to eat there but Erickson had another intention.
After having dinner. Erickson felt it was time to express his feelings, he walked to Celine who was at the windowpane admiring the stars.
The pale crescent moon shone like a slivery
claw in the night sky.
“The stars are as beautiful as you are.”
“Aww. Thanks, elder brother.” Celine replied with a blush on her cheeks.
“Don't call me brother. Call me Ericksoj or love” Erickson insisted. Celine swallowed a none existing lump in her throat as she took a look at the icy expression on his face.
“But…”
