Chapter 4 The Manager

"Seij?" Eun called as he walked near Seiji who's carrying bunches of Sunho's clothes. "Ready?"
He nodded as he took a last glimpse of his room before following Eun outside.
The group decided to move out of nowhere. They had two options, tho. To go home to their homes or just go far from their dorm but the majority chose the second one. It's the safest decision so far. Their families might be included with these confusing issues if they went back home.
"Hyung's burial was just yesterday," Min whispered to Zen. "Are we really just going to move out just like this?"
"I'm sorry, Min. But, we, as well have to forget. If we stay here then we will only remember the tragic incident," Yohanne explained. "We all know that you and him are the closest to each other but we're also hurting as much as you do. He's our brother."
Min covered his face with his hands. His shoulders moved up and down. He's crying again and Zen moved along and gave him a tight hug.
"I-it just hurt a lot, hyung," he cried. Zen caressed his back for comfort.
"Shush now, Min," Xyler whispered.
The rest were just staring out blankly. No one talked. No one's making any noise. Seiji held his temples, massaging them. Everyone can tell that they don't have enough sleep since the day Sunho went missing and it was already a week ago.
"Everyone, listen. We have to go now," Armando said as he signaled all of them to enter the van.
It was still as early as 2 in the morning. They have to leave secretly, so no one could see them. Yi did his job as the left leader and counted all the members.
"Nine, ten," he whispered and all of them looked down. Yi sighed and signaled their manager. "Complete," he mouthed and the driver started the engine.
They were all inside one van, just in case. After all, everyone agreed that it's better for them to die all together than to be hunted down one by one.
Seiji was eyeing everyone as they travel. He had to make sure that no one's acting suspiciously. He's gotten more and more paranoid.
"Stop that, Seij," Eun whispered as he carefully elbowed him on the waist. "Nothing's gonna happen, okay?"
"It's because everyone can see you," Seiji marked which took his hyung aback.
"Paboya!" He whined. "Are you suspecting me now?"
Sehun sighed. "Mianhe, hyung. I didn't mean it."
"It's okay," Eun flashed him a simple smile. "We're going to find that murderer, trust me!"
Seiji suddenly cocked a brow. Is it just him or Eun just gotten a little manly? He's also gotten serious since Sunho got missing.
"Yeah, we sure will!" Seiji answered through gritted teeth.
"Count us in," Xyler added.
Seiji and Eun looked at the rest. They weren't aware that they were also listening. They were just thinking too deep to not to notice them.
"Yeah... we can't just let these things happen," Yohanne intoned. "We're sooooo gonna find Sunho no matter what!"
The rest nodded to agree.
"I'm more than willing to quit the band just to find Sunho hyung," Cheon marked.
"Me, too," the others followed.
"Well then. It's decided," Yi smiled.
* * *
"Okay, settle down," Shane commanded and handed Yi a document.
She's their manager's manager, Mr. Aiden's adopted daughter.
"What's this, miss?" Yi asked and opened the document.
The lass signaled the rest to sit down and they immediately did. She then sat on the futon in front of them.
"I heard you, guys, are planning to look for Sunho," she started. "Did I hear it right?"
She could see their facial expressions changed.
"How the hell did she know when we were only the ones who knew about that plan?" They must thought.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," she rolled her eyes. "I was only at the front seat when you were talking about it, Jesus!" She groaned. "Don't stress yourselves too much."
"O-Oh, sorry, miss," Min pressed his lips together.
"Tss... so anyway. That document is a contract," Shane continued.
"Contract for what?" Yohanne asked.
"Off contract," Yi answered. He's reading that document.
"What does that mean?" Shane asked in their behalf. "Well, obviously, you guys went through a horrific, traumatizing incident. That contract's purpose is to void the contract you made with the management to avoid Breaching od Contract, one might say. You aren't just going to leave your career to find Sunho oppa, right? You guys will get sued if you do that."
"You mean, we're going to file a lawsuit?" Lay asked.
"I got it already," she answered. "I knew you guys would plan this, so I got it all covered."
"Daebak!" Cheon haven't stopped himself from applauding.
"I know, Cheon," she answered arrogantly.
"Noona?" Seiji said and she shot him a glare.
"Call me that again and you will really get it this time," she warned and they all laughed.
It's because Shane is still 20 years old and she already became the head manager which is just one of a heck. She's still too young but she got the ability of a grown-up woman that's why Seiji kept on teasing her by calling her noona though he's four years older than her.
"Okay! Enough of that," she looked at Yi. "So what do you think, oppa? Will you sign it? I'll take care of everything if you agree," she then turned towards the others.
"As much as I don't want you guys to be put into trouble but as how these shit looks, that murderer won't stop until he or what kind of a demon that creature be gets what she wants from you. If we move ahead of time, we might be able to stop their plan."
"So you're saying that we're all baits here?" Ten asked and Shane shook her head.
"Aniyo. All I'm saying that your lives are in danger," she cleared. "Might be money? Fame? Or might be you, personally."
And once again, their minds went in circles but it seems like Eun got what she meant.
It was four years ago when EcZo debuted and there was this woman who's totally obsessed with them and followed them anywhere until they got sick of her and pushed her away. Not literally but emotionally. They were still young back then and don't know how to deal with obsessed fan yet.
The girl is extremely rich. It won't be question if she's the person behind all of these. If it happens to be her, they need strong evidence to catch her.
"Do you think that that girl might be doing all of these?" Eun opened his thoughts.
"Who's who?" Yohanne asked.
"That girl we accidentally rejected four years ago," Seiji answered. "At least that's what I have in mind and let me correct that, rejecting her was actually intensional."
"Holy yes," Eun's lips twitched. "I mean, come to think of it. Have you guys remembered her following Sunho hyung one night and after that she started following Taesoo the other night. Am I making sense?"
"You mean the criminal follows that sequence?" Yi asked. "Which means, I'm next?"
Their brows raised skywards.
"No, I didn't mean it like that," Eun immediately took back what he just said but the poor Yi is already scared.
"I'm not getting out of this room. Lock the doors. Close all windows. No one's getting in!" He said in panic and they all laughed.
"Don't worry. I'll protect you. The criminals' lives lies in my hand," they all turn towards Shane and a sad look plastered on their faces.
"Do you think Sunho hyung is already dead?" Min asked once again in a low tone.
"Dead or alive, I'm getting him back."
The boys settled inside Shane's condominium. They're going to stay there until her next signal.
"Are we going to be safe here?" Yi asked as he was opening a can of orange juice.
"With those 20 guards guarding every entrance of this building, I can say that we're really safe," Yohanne answered.
"Don't be too confident, hyung," Eun exclaimed. "The murderer can still be one of us here that's why don't blame me if ever I happen to push one of you out of the window."
Everyone went quiet since they're all aware of that. The situation is just too complicated to deal with.
"Where did I put that stupid key?" Shane hissed as she was flipping all the things inside of her purse good thing she immediately saw it.
The elevator opened and she immediately walked inside the parking lot.
Everything's too quiet... perfect place for murder.
Shane pressed the car remote and was about to open the door when she heard footsteps coming her way and as if on a cue, she immediately hid underneath her car without thinking that she could just go hide inside.
She immediately took her phone and contacted her guards just in case. Those footsteps went closer and closer until a pair of shoes stopped in line to her. Basing on those legs, everyone can tell that it's a guy.
"Noona?"
Shane's breaths went back to normal when she heard Seiji's voice. She rolled her eyes and slowly moved outside and brushed all the dust away.
"What the heck are you doing down there?" Seiji chuckled.
"Guess why?" She answered sarcastically, cocking a brow. "And why the hell are you here? I thought I made it clear a while ago. It's dangerous for any of you to be out unguarded!"
"Oh, don't worry. Two guards are with me," Seiji pointed somewhere on the right and found nothing except for the dark exit.
"Where?" Shane had to ask.
"But they were there a while ago," he whispered.
"Shit that!" Shane scoffed. "Get inside the car, now."
Seiji nodded and did what she said. Shane also went inside and immediately started the engine. She drove backwards until the car was on its right place and finally drove towards the exit.
"Tell the others to never get out," She commanded and pressed a random button, turning all the windshields into a dark shade.
"Bullet proof?" Seiji muttered. "Daekbak!"
"Just call the others already, goddamnit!"
"Oh, right away!"
Despite of his own confusion, Seiji immediately took his phone out of his pocket and called the others. Shane secretly swiped the screen of her watch and eighteen-blinking green lights were showing.
"I already lost two this fast?" She whispered as furrows formed in her forehead. "Who on earth are these people?"
